brilliant animation and storytelling, a lot of character and developement crammed into a very short space of time. amazing to see the sudden awareness and joy of being alive portrayed in animation like that. it reminded me of the opening sequence of pinnochio in a lot of ways. i definately agree that it would make for a great feature film.

In my opinion it's about how a little robot was given a taste of life, in a restricted area but he wanted to adventure, to see more of the world. Like what's the point of living if we don't live? But it turned out bad for him since he didn't realize the only thing keep him alive was the very thing to stop him reaching his dreams.
I think the robot finally see the freedom and want it, try to reach it but he can't, he tried again and again then when he finally become close for get it he lost his power mean dead. It's like a real life you try again and again but no change no choice when you finally get it, you're dead it's so sad :(

A mechanical mechanism don't get exhausted. Suggested alternative endings: (1) Jumps out the window onto the bird's back and the two fly away. (2) Jumps out the window into the tree, climbs down and discovers the neighborhood. (3) Discovers who he really is, unplugs from the system and begins to live peacefully while he assists others to unplug and those others fight for their limitations. 🙂

I think the main idea is sometimes we want to reach something so much and do everything to have it. But it isn’t always the good choice for us.
