LIKE you are so right! But lezbehonest… today’s Californians like follow their phone app directions, because it’s like, updated with the latest accidents on the 5 and the 10. (But for real, never drive between 3 and 7pm. It’s a freakin mess!) .
I can't stop watching them, if I ever want an easy laugh I turn them on. I like the one where Kristen Wiig comes back with a mustache and a hat as a gardener. I don't think I've seen her crack so much in a skit.
Reason why we talk about roads so much is because of the horrible traffic. Getting from one point to the other takes a bit of creativity to avoid getting stuck. It's really an L.A. thing. Never really thought we talked about it that much, but after the skit, I have to admit it is a huge part of our conversations.
I moved to San Diego a few months ago from South Carolina. These guys are spot on with the constant directions! I travel throughout the entire state for work. Everyone at my job is constantly telling me to take this interstate to that highway, turn at the Del Taco. Can't breath from laughing! Why is everyone a GPS out here!
+Brooke Stop +MrFerenginar is quoting the SNL 40th anniversary digital short, "That's When You Break" where Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg talk about Lorne loving it when actors break :D
That just a sketch. We shouldn't go by that. I remember seeing somewhere that Lorne doesn't like when people break. I just can't remember who said it. Maybe Fallon. But there is an interview out there that disputes that Lorne likes it.
Every time I go to California and get lost or ask for a certain place I get these exact kind of answers... this is so real that many don't even realize it.
I was watching this on my phone when I turned off Sunset and went South on La Brea till I got to Pink's Hot Dogs, then I turned right on Melrose, and kept going till I got to Fairfax, and then kept watching till I finally parked at Farmers Market where I had pancakes at Du-Pars while watching. I was like totally laughing the whole time.
It brings back so many memories of when I lived out there. The fact all their Freeway nonsense and business references are accurate at the time cracks me up.
To clear it up, the road talk is a Californian thing, as in mainly a SoCal/LA thing, and yes, the traffic is one of the most terrible things you’d ever see
That's because our state is overpopulated. I remember in the late 90s, there were specific times you could avoid traffic on the freeways, or at least the 210, the freeway closest to me. Nowadays, it's a crap shoot. Always assume it's bad and you'll probably be right or pleasantly surprised. I've gotten off work at 10pm and the freeways were still bumper to bumper.
My favorite part of these skits is Devin is in Stuart's house literally every time he walks into his living room yet he still always asks "Ahhhhwhatttareudoooingherre?!" 🤣
I love it when Fred and Bill are in a skit, they always try to break each other and the skit becomes even more funnier.
So true
"even more funnier" ... seriously? Like, what public school did you not go to, Stuart?
SoulDaddy33 why don’t you get back

1:45 “whhuuuut??” And Fred pushing himself over to them had me in tears
Tiffany Garner that’s the best part 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And Hader looking away to avoid cracking up.
Who else just likes to say "The Caaalifornians" In Bill Haders voice??

That's Fred Armisen that says it like that.
@@KrisKomar definitely not correct.

@@mistygarcia9927 so do I, he rarely breaks character 😂
Yeah but when Jimmy Fallon does it everyone's cursing him.
Fred was uncharacteristically crack-up-able in this one. Normally he does the cracking! (To Bill Hader, mostly)
I was so surprised and pleasantly surprised too
I love this recurring skit they did. I miss it and want it back ! bring Fred and Bill back!
yeah!
Forasec:?.....euh...what are you doing here??...??
Fred and Bill were TWO huge talents! They were so versatile and always funny in my opinion
I love how the guy at 5:04 is just waiting for the guy to finish talking as if nothing strange is happening. XD
that motion he makes with the "whaaat??" at 1:45 is priceless

Ginja - With the traffic you have to be or you'll never get anywhere.
So in a nutshell, Devin screws everyone in Stuart's family and employ.
😂 Yes this is true. You need all of these entanglements to make a true soap opera.

“You can’t die”
“Okay I won’t”
Can definitely confirm that Devin has broken hearts here in San Bernardino 😭
And Jeremy Renner is the only real Californian there. He is from Modesto, same as George Lucas.
JordiTV79 I currently live in Modesto and it’s always cool realizing such a great actor and producer of the biggest film series came from here.
Its always a treat when Modesto gives us anything but drug addiction or murder.
And Timothy Olyphant
Actually, Taran is from California as well. Nasim was raised in Irvine, so she counts too.
Modesto reminds me of Monsters vs Aliens
Every time I go to California and get lost or ask for a certain place I get these exact kind of answers... this is so real that many don't even realize it.
The effects are amazing.... Especially when they show the faces of each character

Fred Armisen and Bill Hader.. My GOD. And when they break.. It's so GOOD
1:45 when he said "what?!" the shit always get me LOL
My favorite SNL skit. Rosa is funny when she looks into the camera instead of at the person she is talking to.
In this scene,Vanessa Bayer is doing what I call her 'earnest schoolgirl' impression. This time with a mature Latina flair. So under rated!
