I was born and raised in los angeles and dont talk like this. most of the people i run into that talk like this are either legit valley people, or foreigners who moved here and seem to have picked up the valley girl accent of all things. the most popular accent around here is actually probably a Hispanic one
I meant that as a joke. I lived in Los Angeles, then moved to San Gabriel, when I was a teenager in 1980, and no, no one I ever met really talked like that, but, coming from South Florida, the language was a bit different.

Being from Cali, the most accurate thing in this sketch is how often people refer to the interstates. I'm not sure what the obsession with routes taken to get to the destination is...I guess everyone just wants to prove they know the most efficient routes to prove they're not some tourist causing pile-ups as they stare at their gps

There ARE Californians like this, and usually most of those acting like this moved there from somewhere else in the country years ago and now act like they've lived there their whole lives, hence the talking about to easiest ways to get around LA/San Francisco (AKA "The City") bc they feel like they have to prove they know their way around. When I lived in Marin (north bay/San Francisco Bay Area) there were always people arguing about the best way to navigate "The City". I always just took those e-cabs & Uber so that I didn't have to know bc SCREW driving around SF downtown. Those hills ruined two sets of brakes in like two years from my buddies borrowing my car... Those assholes.
Also the only people that ever pay for anything in the Bay are parents... People were always surprised when they'd hear me bitching about my bills... They knew what bills were, they just didn't understand why my parents were so late paying them...

@@barrystewart5946 I'm making fun of Taylor Swift. The constant joke throughout this entire skit isnt that Alisson is bad at acting, that's just *one* of the many jokes. Alisson isn't acting for the entire skit, only during that short space ship worm hole line delivery. Alisson is supposed to be this wacky, dumb, funny character like the rest of them, but Taylor Swift just sucks at portraying that. Her accent isnt good and her delivery isnt either. I pretended to not know the difference between Taylor Swift and Alisson to get a few laughs and apparently 500+ people seem to get what I'm saying.
So are you saying "the joke" in this skit is that Taylor Swift cant act? Im pretty sure that's not it, and if it is, then its just not funny...? I have a little bit more faith in the writers, I'm sure they can (and did) do better than that.
