Here's a tour of all 5 of George Bush Intercontinental Airport's terminals (E, D, C, B, and A, in that order). IAH had what looks like its busiest year ever in 2015, and with a new flight to Auckland, it's the only airport in the US with flights both to Africa (LOS) and Australasia. (A number of airports have flights to Africa and Hawaii, which is part of Oceania.) Hope you enjoy! (All footage from 5/12/2016)
I am a frequent flyer of UA and when I lived in SAT I use to transit through IAH alot. It's great to take this tour again through you. Thanks for posting.
You are most welcome! Thanks for watching!
Aol
I live in Austria and every year or so I fly with my parents to Guatemala because my family lives there and we almost always stop at this airport and watching this brings so many overwhelming memories back, especially because I miss flying and being with my family very much, since we're not gonna fly until in 10 months. Honestly, I ended up crying watching this haha. I'm being way too emotional lmao. Btw very good video, I enjoyed it very much!!!
i am a frequent flyer to Houston and i love this airport and the city, hopefully when covid-19 ends i recommend going to Houston
Hy

Nothing to there. Only business interests.
I’m moving to USA from Canada this is where I’m flying into shortly any tips never took a flight before.
@@israelsmith3940 happy in your new home?
19:13 lol what? Thanks for the great video. I just started working at IAH and was looking for videos so i could become more familiar with the place.
I like to say hi to everyone :) Thanks for watching and enjoy your new job!
Thx Mr. KBurchfiel for another video tour of an awesome airport! You have a really cool job to travel that lot :)
At 23:35 when you had the A380 in your camera view, that reminded me of the time I was on a CRJ departing from Houston and we were behind the Airbus and I almost thought the CRJ was going to be blown away from that massive jet!
Thank you for this video. My first flight was CO MSY-IAH then on to LGW back in 2001. Last year I was in the old CO "Presidents Club"... Excellent memories in this airport. Still think about them to this day...
IAH being my home airport,my feet and calves were aching just watching this, imagining myself walking on all that hard tile floor! Will be using IAH end of August for a flight to TUS to see the parents
Love this video!
Thanks so much, this video was very helpful to my (:
Man those vids of terminal B, I can vividly recall of traversing those paths as a youngster in the 70s escorted by a beautiful Braniff 'Stewardess' for my flight back home to Minneapolis on several occasions. Sadly they are now dumps, back then, state of the art, still I'll be sad to see them go, so many fond memories of my visits to Houston and Texas.
IAH is my home, and first airport and never fails to amaze me in how great of an airport it is. It's of course unique in it's own Texan kinda-way. I couldn't find out which terminal Eva Air departed from but I now believe it's Terminal D from your video :)
Yep Terminal D would be my guess--most international airlines fly out of there, or at least they did at the time of this video. Thanks for watching!
if you were filming on june 19 i would have 100 percent been there waiting for my dad to pick me up
when i was flying to houstoun we got lost in a canadian airport im not sure wich airport but we almost missed our flight but this kind gentelmen told me and my mom that we were in the worng terminal and the gate for the plane was going to open soon. But we got there in time and made it to houstoun. Thank you to this man. Also i recomend going to houstoun it a very fun place with kind people but the humidity kills.
Usually every summer I go to this airport to travel, it’s my favorite
Somehow im in this video arriving from new york, :)
Cool! I usually show up in my videos too :)
That's actually cool. What are the odds? Do you have a time stamp of where you were?
video tv art ring has been at that airport for a long time now.
Rewatched this video, enjoyed it just as much as the first time :) Also, how do you get from E to D specifically? I have heard there is an airside walkway, but how exactly do you get to this? Thanks!
Beautiful.
I ate at that exact subway.
I wonder what happened to that UAL's 737 with the paint scratched off!
Can you do one for Dallas Love Field
A World Class Airport in Texas the other is DFW ..Welcome to Houston Texas 🤘🤘🤘🤘😊😊😊
When this Coronavirus is over can you do south bend international airport?
u should post a tour of Sacramento airport or Oakland airport
Going this Thursday flying UA hope to have a great experience hence I’ve never been to Houston …🇺🇸
Fantastic Video!!!! I was literally searching everywhere for a video like this for my upcoming flight connecting through IAH, and then you saved the day! Is there any chance that you will be making a new one for DEN, SFO, DTW, or TPA in the near future? Also, how do you get to the airside train and is 1 hr 20 min enough to see the int'l terminal as well? I have to connect to terminal C for a 787 to DEN after a flight from TPA. Sorry if I made this too long, but I would appreciate any advice, Thanks!
+Tampa Spotter Glad you enjoyed it! I make my airport videos when I travel somewhere, so my video schedule is based on my travel schedule, and no flights planned at the moment :( But I have tours of DEN and DTW on my channel; DEN is in 2 parts, and DTW covers only the long terminal. You can find them all here: ua-cam.com/play/PLYtyZPMUWeI9041CFmsThscnubE7A1rNE.html
The airside train is really easy to access from any gate you land at. You should have plenty of time to see the international terminal(s), either/or D and E. I went through all 5 terminals in this video in about 2.5 hours. But leave plenty of time to board of course; I don't want you to miss your flight!
In fact, I also have a video of a 787 flight from IAH to DEN that I took last year, so it may be of interest :D ua-cam.com/video/ATlU4lZP3yw/v-deo.html
Welcome to Texas!
+KBurchfiel I just realized that my time at IAH is around 7 am, are there any good int'l heavies in the morning? I don't think there are any then, but I just had to catch that Dreamliner!!!! How do you decide between a 787 and IAH's heavies lol?!?!
You made the right choice! Being inside a widebody is even more exciting than seeing them from the outside. From 7 to 9 there will be quite a few widebody arrivals from Latin America, and you'll also have one of the Asian flights coming in. HNL and LOS as well I think. Cargo flights too if those are of interest.
I found this on flightaware, which has really useful departure/arrival schedules for the day you'll be flying. Go to flightaware.com/live/airport/KIAH/scheduled for departures and flightaware.com/live/airport/KIAH/enroute for arrivals. :)
Oh, and you might still find widebodies at the gate even if they arrived a while back or won't depart for a while. And as the video shows, you'll probably see some more widebodies parked on the tarmac.
Going here for flight to orlando in July ☺️
Great video! I am flying to LAX and was wondering if i should connect through IAH or DEN. Keep up the great work!
Both are great airports! I have a tour of DEN too, so I would look at that one (it's in 2 parts I think) and decide which is more appealing :)
Great! I chose DEN. I will be there around 9:15 AM. Do you know if there will be alot of Widebodies there at that time?
Probably not :( But even without widebodies, the airport is really fun to explore, and you get great views of the Rockies! I'm not sure when the UA 788 flights arrive from IAH/NRT. LH and BA arrive in the afternoon I think.
Yup, Im sure i'll have a great time! That view looks amazing!! Thank you so much for helping me out i really appreciate it : )
14:20 "This is an underground walkway to Dallas" 😅😅
Can you do New Orleans - MSY?
3:15 COUNTRY STICKS!!!!
about terminal d getting demolished, its been 7 years later and we just got a new concourse, instead demolishing old terminal c north :(
where were you flying to at the end of this video
Airports are very confusing how in the world do people know where to go?
I live in Houston and sometimes I'm lucky that planes go over my house so I pretty much do plane spotting from my neighbourhood..
lived 3 years in Houston and like 4 years after United merger and I still can't get to my mind that continental is extinct, sometimes I miss saying that there's a plane of continental (I love long words, maybe it's why I like German so much)sometimes I still say continental in conversations by accident.
I've only been to terminal d e and c taking international flight to Mexico, various times and I explored the terminals which was really fun, I actually flew from there once when the flight to Taipei with Eva started operations, and as a bonus I saw the air china to Berlin and the Scandinavian airlines to stavenger.
I've seen from my house, Lufthansa from Frankfurt, air France from Paris, both British airways from london, klm from ams, Ana from Tokyo, kal from seoul, Emirates from dxb, qatar from doha, eva from taipei air china from Beijing and Turkish from Istanbul(it's the one I see the most along with British flight 196) I think I'll fly on the BA 194 next summer but not sure.
just saying.
I'm surprised how there aren't any flights to Madrid, and I thought that they had flights to Portugal not Brazil. I guess I'm lost kinda..
Danny1022 Hey I live in Houston as well. I too miss Continental. Such a great airline. :(
Aaron Rollins yeah, it was cool, I never got to fly on it unfortunately... but it was better than United...the merger ruined both airlines tbh.
Danny1022 Definitely

belles videos remerciements roger.
Do you live in Houston
I believe that for the next few years until this whole "oil thing" shakes out, IAH is in for a serious slowdown. There are for the first time, admissions form the airport authority, that there is no foreseeable major int'l growth (longhaul) for several years. Emirates ceased A380 operations, Qatar scrubbed their Sunday flight, SAS bailed in Oct of 2015, Spirt recently announced the cancellation of the Central American ops from IAH, late in the year.
💛
I'm wishing for United Airlines to start year round nonstop service between Sioux Falls-Houston
22:19 my waiting area for my dad
When you travel by train, the seats are roomier. And, the price [although expensive ] for First Class on a plane is a lot more than paying deluxe for a ROOM OF YOUR OWN...a Roomette, sleeper room, on a Train. And thats a fact. Plus you have privacy
Question: I have a flight SAL -> IAH -> IAD in September and I have a connection time of about 5:30 hrs. Do you know if I have to carry my checked baggage for most of the time until check-in time for my next flight closes in or I leave it to the baggage people just after clearing customs regardless of the time left for my next flight?
Hi Rick, that's a great connection. I don't have any experience with international connections in the US. If you don't get a response from someone else, you could maybe reach out to the community at Flyer Talk. Good luck and welcome to the US!
Thank you, man. I was able to get a answer from United. I'll probably end up walking through all terminals watching airplanes. Thanks for the video, I kind of get an idea of where to go and what to do during my long layover.
You're very welcome!
I have a question.
I will arrive at Terminal D and my next flight will depart from terminal E.
Can I move to terminal E to D inside security because I have a priority pass and wanna go to KLM Crown Lounge in terminal D.
All the terminals are linked inside security, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting to terminal E-unless you're arriving from an international flight, in which case you'd probably have to go through security again. Safe travels!
I don't see an E13. Do you? at 3:27
I hope to Visit U. S. A and Texas.
Can anyone please tell me when are the busiest day and hours? in this airport please!
bunny tsukino busiest hours are from 1-5 and days are Friday and Saturday
Kinda stupid question but which Bush is this airport named after?
miker6570 George h w Bush , the 41 president
Can you please do a tour of the Orlando International Airport?
14:46 Leila!!!
1867Phoenix Phoenix ❤️
I'll be there in 3 weeks.
How was it
that termanil d was actually the termanil i would exit the plane so sad it has been domolished
3:30
I’m confused
Triceratops or threehorn.
I live in Houston
7:31 that is no longer true. SQ now goes to Manchester, UK and onward to Singapore. It used to be through DME (in Moscow, Russia) then onward to Singapore.
Stephen Wibowo Thanks for the update! I find the flight info by putting the registration into Flightaware, so the info refers to that specific flight and not to the route in general. But it's interesting to hear that the route has changed.
KBurchfiel no problem. Are u gonna do one of Singapore Changi international Airport?
Brookestone headphones.
I miss this airport George Bush international airport
Wow I'm impressed with Huston. Are you sure t were in the states?😁
Beijing AirPort (China) is the biggest
andy Price the biggest is the one in Dubai next Abu Dabi and soon the new airport of Mexico city
Terminal C and D looks empty
+EasternPlayer Terminal D serves mostly international airlines, so if there aren't many international flights departing that time of day, the terminal will be empty. Also, most of those airlines only have one flight a day to Houston.
Based on my records for January, Korean and ANA depart around 10 a.m., the European flights (KLM, Lufthansa, British, Air France, and Singapore to Moscow) depart from 3:30 to 5 pm, and the Middle Eastern flights depart around 6:20 pm. Then there's another BA flight around 9:25 pm. Finally, the Air New Zealand flight leaves around 10:25 pm, and the EVA flight to Taipei leaves after 1 a.m. So outside those times, the terminal will look pretty empty. United's international flights leave out of Terminal E.
As for Terminal C, I noticed that too. I believe UA practices banked arrivals/departures, so instead of having flights arrive evenly throughout the day, there are a lot of arrivals at certain times followed by a lot of departures soon after. The idea is to reduce connection times. I'm not certain they have a banked system going on, but it's a good guess, since IAH had probably its busiest year ever in 2015 :)
oh C is always packed ! just a slow day that day
Love your username! I'm a child of the nineties, and yes, they were amazing. Even hearing the Windows 95 startup sound gives me nostalgia.
+KBurchfiel oh wow that's awesome ! I was born in 1991 and I am a ramp agent for United at IAH! I work Terminal C North
+KBurchfiel this is so familiar to me haha! I think DFW is a little larger than IAH though
