A few products from this review were sent to me by Banggood for testing.
This does not mean that I do get all my products. I review also a lot of products I bought myself.
I started these reviews because from my experience not every tool from China was worth buying. So I wanted to make in-depth reviews to show you which products you should consider and which product you better leave alone. The fact that Banggood sent me products occasionally does not change the way I make my reviews. I still give in-depth reviews and give you my honest opinion!
On this, you can count on!
I have a good experience with Banggood.com and they have a lot of woodworking tools nicely organized on their site.

Grabbed both the 90 and 45 engineers squares after your review. Easily the most beneficial and used tools in my workshop. I verify almost everything with them. The wide, flat base makes blade alignment effortless. I use these to verify any new tools I bring into my shop. As always, thank you for your honest opinion. I will continue to use your knowledge and experience to make my shop and projects better.
The fact that you show us imperial users compassion by including the necessary tools we would use is 10/10 thanks you sir
As a carpenter living in China, I can agree with pretty much all of your videos about the items you review. Thanks for sharing.
Regarding the rail guide ratcheting clamps, I recently purchased the drillpro version and noticed that they also have improved their design. They now have rubber protection and a screw at the end.
Wow! I didn't know this channel even existed, but I'm just blown away by the attention. It's really helpful info to a serious hobby guy like myself. I've been doing this long enough that I've embraced the 'buy the best tool you can afford' mentality and have quite a collection of quality tools. But I still like to find a deal. Like that cabinet drill guide...I bought a similar model off of Amazon a while back when I was remodeling my kitchen. Mine was very well constructed aluminum like the one your demonstrated, but no case. I think I paid $25 at the time, and it was at least 2x better than the 'professional' guides I'd picked up from Rockler. I even loaded it to a buddy of mine who was building some new shop furniture, and he was absolutely blown away by the quality and function. So those deals are out there, but I'm glad to have a guy like you out there testing things so I don't have to work through trial and error finding the 'best' cheap tool.
Another great video! These recommendations can greatly enhance any workshop, and take workflow to a new level, thanks for sharing!
You have a very logical and fair way of evaluating these different tools. Thanks Dennis I always look forward to seeing your next videos
I bought this system made by Veiko based on your recommendation from Banggood. The kit I got is improved with the guides starting from 200mm and two setup marks at 295 & 371mm and side scales zeroed at the 371mm mark for cuts less than 275mm wide.
All in all, it was a great recommendation and I'm here to thank you Dennis for these thorough reviews that save us money and frustration.
Are they worth buying? they look more Clewer than the festool onel for small rips
Good reviews as always. Appreciate the point about being an advert for the products, but also thanks for the notice on the discounts. Thanks again for a great series
FchinaJoe
Wow, this channel is amazing. So much value, and great presentation. Thanks!
Another Great Video! I love what you do. Keep up the good work!!
Popping back to say thanks, added many of your faves (oddly all tools I've been holding out buying because $$$ here in Aus) ..and while BG might take a while to get them to me, your reviews were really what sealed the deal - thanks.
Great Video Dennis! Thank you for your hard work!
Denis, I am late commenting here. But I bought the parallel guides for my Makita based on your review. I love them! Love all your videos. Very well presented.
Congratulations on 30 episodes of China Tools! Each one very informative. It’s become my ‘go to’ reference for anything I purchase from Banggood.
Video production is great too. Thank you Dennis and keep them coming.
I have only just found this channel. Excellent informative reviews of useful products. I am setting up a new workshop and expect to be ordering soon if I can't find locally.
Hi Dennis! You will be happy to know that I ordered and received the parallel guide for track saws that you reviewed and they have fixed all the shortcomings that you noted about the product. The top scales are now correct and accurate (and have the reference arrows for stop guide placement) and they have added a side scale to the rails as well. I like to think that they are listening to your reviews and making adjustments! Thank you for the recommendation! I have spent a lot of money recently! ;^)
Is the calibration consistent between regular and narrow cuts? For me it’s 1mm off - when I calibrate one, the other is off by this amount. I suppose the plastic tip is a little too long. Otherwise it’s perfect.
@@martink7777 - Great question. I have only done wider cuts. I'll certainly give it a second look.
I just set an alarm for next years 11.11 China Tools sales. I should have my shop up and running by then and I'm sure I'll be needing some new quality tools. Your China Tools series has been excellent and you do an awesome job on reviewing these tools.
That is a good plan😂😂
Hoi from Den Haag. I also purchased the parallel guide system. It arrived days before you made this video. I immediately realized the issue. I zeroed it with a 3.5cm offset. which is the furthest I could bolt the track adapters. I don't think I will be cutting closer than that anyway but I can make quick adjustments if I ever do. so if I leave the narrow rod adapters in I can get accurate repeatable cuts from 3,5 to around 100 cm.
By the way, they just released upgraded rails for preorder.
Fantastic reviews, Dennis! Thanks! 😃
Those dog hole clamps look fantastic! I'm going to get a few! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Superb reviews. Always. thank you.
Thank you Dennis for your clear video. You should have a look at the TSO Parallel guide system; in combination with their square, this should be a bless.
Another excellent video Dennis. Congrats on your well deserved UA-cam success!
Bangood used to be affordable to ship to South Africa now its crazy, example the Veiko 760 mm Ts is R536.56 and shipping is R554.05, pre covid the most I ever paid for shipping was R35 and that was for 5 router bits. Nice videos and well presented thank you Dennis.
Sorry to hear!
I have 2 of the Veiko T rulers. I think they're awesome for the price. I was really impressed and plan on trying some other tools from them.
Thanks for this amazing video! RESPECT!
thanks for creating this video. much appreciated
Great video, Dennis! I'm always impressed with your reviewing process. You do an excellent job of it. Thanks so much!
Thanks for those reviews.(nice analysis and video edition) I have received the parallel guide mid dec 21 : 1st impression is correct manufacturing, manual of use or assembly still missing. I notice that there is - now - a 280 mm scale on the side starting at 200 mm from the attachement t the rail. Now it is time to test & practice. It sounds not so easy to set an accurate dimension, an index should be implemented, parallax error possible. Nevertheless the price is really much better than other systems so we have to find our way to use this Veiko product. Correction: I found a video on WP guide system issued by Graham workshop who explain very well the calibration process. I tested it, perfect. So this tool seems to be excellent for repetitive similar cuts. Thanks again for your advises, between you and Graham, all is now clear.
Thanks Denis, another great review
thanks for the reviews and links, subscribed.
for all your videos THANK YOU, now is the time for me to choose my Christmas gifts ^^
The current Fonson Upgraded parallel guide system from Banggood has all criticized points corrected (scale also on the side, main scale starting around 22cm and so on). I just got it for 95€, shipping from CZ to Germany only took 3 days. It’s perfect, only the rods (or the tips) are 1mm too long, making the calibration inconsistent between normal and narrow cuts. It works great with my Makita track saw and rails.
Thanks for your reaction
Big Fan! Great reviews.
Bought 5 items through your links, that’s for awesome videos.
Thank you for this great video. It´s like your other vids a great informatic and professional video. Please bring more of this phantastic content.
Thanks for the video Dennis, very helpful! Like a lot of other people I would also be interested in a follow up, regarding the updated version of the guides that should solve the issues you are having with the system. Maybe as short segment of another review video? Thanks from Austria! Lukas
Thanks Denis another great video and more £s spent !!
Thank you Dennis for the Video . Bangood Woodwork tools are very good .
Very thorough reviews. I’d love to see a review of tools that are not copies of existing products.
Hi Dennis! Like always, many thanks for putting this together. Very helpful and with the upcoming festivities, good to have something on the wish-list! Cheers, Frank
Great video thank you Dennis 🇨🇦
Great reviews! I have ordered the parallel guide at such a good price (using your link). And thanks so much for the extra guidance on setup for this - it's a shame they do not include instructions with the guide itself. A few more people are doing Banggood reviews now but yours are by far the most useful, especially for the high end (and therefore higher price) tools.
Hey Dennis! Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I missed the 11.11 event, but Black Friday is still to come.
A suggestion to your calibration of the parallel guide system: before fastening the ruler screws, apply some locktite thread locker. This keeps the screws from loosening through vibration.
Thanks again!
Andreas
Just received mine and set it up, as others have said they have fixed all the issues you highlighted so they are listening to you! Might be worth doing a quick follow up vid if you feel inclined.
For info to others - The London Craftsman on UA-cam has a couple of vids on how to build these and how to calibrate the guides.
Good reviews. With the rail clamps it would have been good to show how they work with track saw rails since that is their primary purpose.
I bought these for my tracksaw tracks and they don't fit. They are 0.100" wider than the festool clamp. I checked these clamps in both the festool and Milwaukee rails
Banggood needs to include you in product development!
hey Dennis, nice video again as always! is was wondering if you could review some pipe clamps or other serre-joint like clamping devices from china 😉 thanks again
Awesome thanks 🙏 great video
Very nice selection.
Awesome channel. Subbed!! 👍👍
Bellissimo video Michele! Hai messo alla frusta la stellatura della tua ottica Canon! 🔝
Great review
Just found this channel. Subscribe immediately!
Keep up the good work!
Interesting, as usual, Dennis.
Many thanks for posting.
I'm off to the Banggood site now...
They now sell an upgraded version of the parallel guide system with calibration marks and rulers on the side for the thin cuts. Haven't tested it yet.
With the screw you can sircumvent the problem from getting them in to the dog holes.
Just take out the screw, remove the handle, insert the shaft from under the table top, put the handle and screw back on, done. No matter how thick your table top is.
All you need is enough room under the table to be able to insert the shaft.
En in het nederlands is dat hetzelfde ;-)
Dennis -- I enjoy your reviews and have purchased some of the items you suggested from Banggood. One of the last orders for the Veiko BIG T-rulers which I ordered on the 11.11 sale has not even shipped yet. Now they tell me that they can only ship via Ocean shipping even though they still indicated Express shipping to the US on the website. And they want me to cancel the order or agree to 2 to 3 more months before I receive the three T rulers I ordered. They were unwilling to make any price or shipping concession for my time. The most I could get out of them was 500 BG points. Just wanted you and your followers to know that it looks like Banggood service is going down. Almost looks like seller remorse for selling the item at the 11.11 sale price.
Love the channel! Soooo...I've just noticed Hongdui have released some 'Clear Cut Stock Guides'; similar to the Jessem. Can you PLEEEAAASE review these!! The shipping alone costs a fortune for Jessem as they aren't sold here in Australia. Appreciate your great reviews!
Geat chanel and helps inspire confidence when buying these tools (i have ordered this among other things youve tested ) wondered about stand alone dove tail jigs if you had plans to test one ? they are on my shopping list ...
the new version has numbers on the side now so you don't have to add tape anymore. Still cost $110 but with shipping and insurance, it was $137.05 shipped to Texas
Now that I have the parallel guide rails ordered I just hope to see a similar angle mft sqare like the tco one. Actually sometimes pricing does go through the roof and as a hobbyist woodworker you have to make wise decisions.
now you buy chinese mft sqare’
@@user-dr5ty8fw5r May be of I see the need as a hobby woodworker.
Despite my problem with the corrupt ccp the Chinese people can't be blamed for them. They suffer since Mao got into power.
Lot of the tools you were showing in ya video are Woodpecker tools design Which China has this multiple system of factories. The parent company gives them the design to these companies then spread it out to point it is pirate copy without being pirating. However, parent don't get any money for it, from non pirates factories, but it goes back to above the ladder factories. Very crafty system China is allowing. That is why it a hit-and-miss with the clones though.
Thanks for the video.
Waiting for a banggood track saw square that worth buying (I hear poor reviews on the one available) to match the parallel guides, wich are awesome.
Can anyone confirm if the parallel guide will work with DeWalt rails? There's conflicting answers at the Bangood site! Keep up the great work Dennis, I really appreciate the level of perfection in your woodwork, reviews and video production.
Muy buen análisis, me gustó, y es sorprendente como tienen buenas calificaciones, aunque uno creyera que por ser chinas iban a ser desepcionantes
Naprawdę bardzo fajne narzędzia 👍
Very intressting video Dennis. I have the Drillpro T-Ruler and I think it is ok, but after using the Woodpeckers T-Ruler at a friends workshop, I have ordered one. Ok, it is more expensive but hey, Christmas is around the corner ;-)
Don't get me wrong. Woodpeckers is great. I have also some of them and they are on another level. But it comes at a price. Especially products you do not need so often is great to buy from Banggood. And lately luckily some more products from China become also very nice to own.
Keep those coming. One drawback, you make me spend money.
How often does this guy post videos? They're really good, glad I found it. What is he, Dutch?
Even when on discount, Veiko table clamps are about 5usd cheaper than Bessey. And still never know if customs will charge. I see it is a quality product, but you know what I mean.
Hi! Excellent video! Do you know if the parallel guide will fit in the Makita rail?
Is there a router plate I can buy for my hikoki to match this? Been looking through you videos but only incra for triton I saw. Thanks. Great channel!
Yes - same price for the upgraded version and the comments there confirm that the measurement markings have been updated, and also added to the side.
Excellent reviews, which system do you typically prefer? the parallel guides or the rail guide squares?
I found this a day after 11/11, unfortunately. Thanks for doing this.
Just check the prices
You should try out & review Veiko’s corner squares
Have you reviewed the Drillpro 2Pack 188/288mm Stainless Steel Handheld Clamp Tools Labor Saving Arm Hand Lifting Tool ?
Bonjour, je viens de me commander le guide parallèle, j'espère ne pas être déçu :)
I just received the Banggood Parallel guides. I barely tried them out, but I have noticed a few issues.
1. There are no instructions. I was able to puzzle out how to out the units together, but it was not immediately obvious.
2. There are significant "fit and finish" flaws.
A. The "thin rip" rods would not fit through the bored holes in the hinged stops. This was due to metal "flash" where the set screw holes meet the hole for the rod. I had to force the rods through with a mallet, although I guess I could have re-drilled the holes if I had the exact size (likely metric) bit.
B. Same thing with the T bolts that hold the stops to the tracks. Bits of flash in the holes prevented the bolts from going through.
C. The knurled nuts that secure the stops in place would not easily thread onto the bolts. The tips of the bolts were imperfectly formed. I suggest once you get them threaded you never remove them.
3. The biggest problem (so far) was that one of the units could not be inserted into the (Makita) track slot unless the flat-head screws that attach the guide to the rail-inset piece were loosened. I'm talking about the flat-head phillips screws, not the allen-head set screws that are meant to fix the position of the guide in the track. This would have meant loosening both the phillips and allen screws every time I needed to move the parallel guide in the track. I "fixed" this by adding a strip of blue tape between the piece that slides in the track and the "T" shaped bracket that attaches that piece to the guide.
I have not tried the "thin-rip" function yet.
I see they have brought out an updated version of the parallel guide, can you tell us if it’s better than the one you reviewed?
Hey I love your work and I've subscribed instantly. By the way you. don't have to keep pressing with your thumb once the blade is down and running. It will get you a better grip ;)
I tried and you are right. Thanks for the tip!
Super 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Chinese products are always awsome
Hi Dennis, I love your reviews and truly appreciate the time it must take to complete them. I purchased these guides based on your recommendation and wanted you to know that they arrived with the bar that goes inside the track improperly manufactured. The holes were skewed by 4mm from end to end and the clamping bolts that go inside the rail to lock the position would not go into the counterbores.
Worst of all, Banggood has been banging me good by slow walking assistance.
Just be careful who you choose to put your name next to.....
I've got this exact same problem.
@@liamboland9650 Well at least the offered me $18 credit to which I replied how will $18 make this tool work properly? Send me the part or send me a new one.
@@liamboland9650 I went after them a bit harder and they are going to send the top t-connectors and the rails out expedited.
Thanks for keeping me updated. They are messing me about. This whole experience has put me off using banggood again ive spent a lot of money with them over past few years. They keep stalling asking for videos of the problem ect, the last update they asked me if i wanted to get it repaired locally and they would cover the cost if it wasnt too much, ive told them either send me a replacement part, or the complete product.
@@liamboland9650 I had the exact same interaction. here is the video I sent if you want to link them to it so you don't have to make one ua-cam.com/video/QCQ2KE7wlbQ/v-deo.html . I said that a local shop would be 80-100/hr with 1/2 hr minimum. The came back with replacing the parts.
gunna go broke if i watch more of these videos !
Hello Dennis, I have looked every where for - measuring rulers aluminium alloy imperial. All that comes up are T squares etc. perhaps you can come up with a solution?
Excellent channel, plenty of useful information, it's definitely my reference source to select and check the woodworking tools.
I congratulate on your 30th video and I wish you to continue in a same manner. I am looking forward for many many more!
Regarding the parallel guide, I have just noticed that two versions have been offered in a shop now. The first one I think is the one reviewed in a video. The second one, available for preordering only, is an upgraded version, I suppose. Unfortunately, the photos for the upgraded version are not clear enough and the description is lacking an upgrade notice, so it's hard to understand what has really been upgraded. I think that the two lacking marks on the scale can now be seen, that's good! Also, I think it's a new font and the marks on the scale are thicker now. I doubt that the thicker scale marks could reduce measuring precision.
Do you have any more info about the upgraded version? I hope that you will have a chance to present it in one of your next videos.
Good reviews, however I’m not sure how people supplied feedback in the comment section so quickly. I ordered a number of the tools, some came within 3 weeks, 1 tool took 5 weeks and I’m still waiting for another tool I ordered 2 months ago.
you could one of those self adhesive tape measure band on top of the parallel guides and fix the problem this way
Great tip
Hi Dennis, the rails are coming now with side marks in mm
Dennis, you should level the sound with your starting tune, almost had an heart attack
Noted :-)
Great content as usual, but I have to disagree with the all 5 star scoring card for the Veiko 760mm t ruler. I have it since September and if you assemble it without a known reference square it won't be accurate. You can adjust it, that's true, however it also means that it can be easily de-adjusted without noticing. I would suggest 6 screws for fixing and a bit larger, fuller t head just like the Drillpro version. Every time I use it I have to check if its square, and so far it wasn't square just once, but that's already once too many.
Buy it after saw your review by your reference. and received not full pack with scratchs and dents. pack has only 5 rules connectors from 6. also rules has measures starting from 195 mm but in fact flipstops could be sets only from 270mm. leave my comments here only for prevent another customers from buying by this reference((( your review its very good and helpfull
That doe’s not sound good. Did you contact them already
What dimensions is your cleat wall?
It is the best I have seen.
Thanks for all your work!!! Do you have a dust collection video? I can’t find it. Thanks
I plan to do this with a video about my new workshop. I wanted to do it sooner, but that not make sense. I plan januari.
@@HookedonWood Thanks for the reply. I saw your use of PVC pipe on your drill press stand. I am replicating that design on my lathe. I am using a Festool HEPA dust collector to pick up the ultra fine sanding dust that sanding wood on a lathe picks up. I really enjoy your channel. Wish we could get the black MDF here. Stay Safe!!
Wish to see something like that paralel guide but for mafell rail
thanks dennis, im off to spend some money.
😀😀
thank you Dennis for GREAT videos!!
A question-
I'm a beginner, and about to do some tools shopping (roller, drills, guide, pocket hole jig,,, etc).
can you share about recommended tools that on a good price this Black Friday?
thank you, Blessings!!

I mean in Banggood 🙏
Will the parallel guide system work with the kreg jig track saw system?
