you mean higatv?
Laify 147 yea true
connors cosette are you American?
Mr New Vegas no , why ?
If I get close enough to my smartphone screen it looks like 200" :D
Guess I should scrap this setup then lol
Austin Evans oh ! U actually reply
Oktay Yumlu 😂 I guess we all have 200° screens
Alex Acosta I hope so haha
comment of the day right here
Cool! Austin watches Wendover Productions!
Who doesn't?
Wendover is best!
KingASE88 cool!
I wouldn't be surprised if he watches RLL too.
I Love watching things I can’t afford 😂
Very nice
Yeah true
That soundbar costs more than my 65" LG 4K tv when I bought it last year. ($799 after deals).
lol true
Me same
Cool setup. All done in 1 day. 120 inch screen . lg projector. Lg atmos soundbar. 2 Recliner seat. Hue lights. Wow. Simply wow!!
I love short throw projectors . Been looking at getting one. He is right you don’t have to have cables hanging from your ceiling. I would love this thing.
Would never game on this, but watching movies seems like it'll be a blast!
Primeval Media agree 100%. I will stick to my 2k monitor at 75 hertz 1ms any day of the week for gaming. Films yes I would use this and may consider getting it
Casual gaming would be fine
tattoodrdoke but you wouldn't sit on the couch and use it but for competitive gaming it would be great
I game quite a lot using my BenQ projector with a 108" screen and it works great. That room Austin has for the 120" screen is far far too small as you will be too close to the screen for comford and they also need to adjust it down.
1800 dollars for something up to only 1500 lumens is quite poor as mine does 3200 lumens for a lot less money. That said I guess the laser technology will last a lot longer than "bulbs" do on normal projectors.
Primeval Media literally no one cares.
And here I am sitting on a floor playing my ps3 on a cheap 720p tv.
same
😭
fuck em dude, enjoy your gaming 😄
me ps2 14” crt
King Uncharted, borderlands are still good games on ps3
Austin: hey guys this is Austin
Marques: what’s up guys mkbhd here
Linus: and now a word from out sponsor
our*
Fuck off POS Grammar Nazi....
Actually that was a spelling nazi NOT grammar nazi LOL.
I like this kind of video. Starting off with a bit of bts footage and then smoothly going into the finished product/setup.
Bought an extra soundbar LG sponsered the whole setup
Next vid: My New 600' new Austin Evans!
😏
Lol
ThaRaven935 ok
ThaRaven935 no its 99999999999999" new
We all know where those INCHES are going to be.
>"high end home theater"
>soundbar
>1080p
1080p is the high-end standard for projectors. You know those big ol screens in the movie theater that look beautiful? That's 1080p. 1080p on a projector is way different than 1080p on any other screen.
no, they're not 1080p
*_Smh my head, sound bar is pathetic, no such th8ng as surround sound on a sound bar, and a projector, 1080p, seriously, you can get a cheaper tv with 4k hdr under $1800, what a waste, do it properly I hope._*
Trapaholic 🤦🏻♂️
well said man. people see 1080p and immediately assume low quality - meanwhile they have no clue what they are talking about.
After gaming on a 125" 1080p projected screen for a few years, I had zero reservations switching to an LG OLED 65" 4k HDR TV. Sometimes size doesn't matter when image quality is night and day better.
This is gonna make our office gaming setup soo much better !!
1...1080p? For $1800?
I don't think sooooo... I'd much rather have a 65-70" 4K TV with HDR. Definitely a better experience, in my opinion. And you can probably get some extra inches, if you include the cost of a projector screen that you'd have to have.
I have a projector and will never go back to a TV. You can't buy a TV anywhere near the size of what a projector is capable of
I have a Samsung 4K tv and a 1080 Epson projector. The tv is sharp and much better for video games but nothing beats the movie theater experience you get from the projector
the delay is really bad, trust me,i tested
It all depends on the projector, some are just as fast as TVs and if you really want a fast response time you need a computer monitor.
For movies and regular media, a projector and a good sound speaker system is the way to go. For games, monitors are the way to go.
Best laptops of 2017
Thanushan .S Austin do this!!
Thanushan .S Inspiron 7577
Fuhugoyiijo
I really want to know, do all these youtubers with insane setups actually play games or is it all a charade?
This would make a great mini theatre. Its really cool
Projectors are great. Once you get a large screen like that it’s tough going back. Even if it’s not 4K.
Wait, so he WON'T catch us in the next one?!??!?!?!?!?
oh no
R.I.P. it turns out austin evans wasn't worth it after all
Mateo Kunzer lol
*disappointment and anxiety intensifies* dark days are in the horizon...
AAAAAAHHHH
This is amazing home theater set up!!! I wish I could afford LG projector...
20k hours? Thats a week gaming for me
Aron Moll Dude, I understand that it's sarcasm but you do understand that 20k hours is basically 2 years of continuous use?
Aron Moll rookie numbers you gotta pump those and maybe one day you could game 20k hours in a day too.
Weak numbers man...
Harsh Makhecha I know but that’s part of the joke :P
Shashwat Sharma salty man
DUDE, that's a sick setup! You're right, I wouldn't want to go back to any TV. 😊😊
Years ago I had a excessive 150" screen with a solid sound system, Logitech 1 remote and an automated screen in a dedicated room. That was badass, granted a little too big (even for the massive room it was in). I sold it to buy a motorcycle but I've wanted a projector setup every since although I'll probably just get a massive tv instead. Still, the immersion is something else.
Only Austin can say he has a PS4 for "decoration"
PhantomFlame I use my white ps4 for decoration bc I don't pay for ps plus..it sits on my desk
I have not working Xbox 360 as decoration.
I have an old iPad as a vivid coffee mat.
LOVE YOUR VIDEO BUDDY 😉😉😉
That moment when you have a 500$ budget for cyber Monday 😩😩😩😩
Your EverydayTech I know I didn’t expect it tho she was hinting at an 800$ pc lol
Irons Cow bro I had a 100 dollar budget
That’s a pretty fucking solid budget
I forgot about Cyber Monday. Anyways, I don't really care about Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.
just get a switch lol
I have this exact projector and running it on a 100 inch Silver ticket screen. I love it!!
Totally worth the price and I highly recommended this product if you’re in a market for a movie or gaming projector!
Probably the best overkill 1080P gaming screen I have witnessed yet, great videos keep em coming!!
Life goals +++ nice vid! Keep it up!
I just got a 55" 4K TV last week. Now I wish I bought this projecter.
you dont even hav the money for tht projector lol
@ how do you know how much he earns haha
Hey Ellis,no worries man...for most situations TVs are still the more practical way to go.... i too have both an LG 55inch HDR 4K SMART LED TV, you see,all of those other features makes the buy worth it... but yet,now I've just recently bought myself a $750 1080p projectro, the BenQ1085ST, and hooked it up with a $250 135inch dark grey motorised screen that just drops down in front of the 55inch TV on movie nights and when i have friends over... so yeah,no one ever said you can't still have it all if you wanted.... so you could give it a try too...the setup is glorious and yet only ($1,000) a thousand bucks.
I love how he isn't watching his own videos on it.
Looks nice, but I would move the screen down 10 or 15 inches, maybe a bit more. And I would have to put in a carpet to dampen the sound reverberation a bit too.
Spit screen would be unreal on this set up!
>Home theater setup
>Soundbar
*Choose one*
Ken used calculator!! DISGRACE!!
CresceNT 24 you will basically need a calculator to do math starting at high school unless your a genius
He was just playing with the asian math genius stereotype.
Ikon the joke flew over your head
Spikiest Lotust lmao I get it now
When your watching a video about a 120” projector which is basically a tv on 19” 2004 dell monitor
I've got a flat 1 millimeter phone screen on the lowest possible brightness. I'm living the life.
Lol
That prima official gold and silver book 😍 hit me with a haymaker of nostalgia
Pretty cool setup with the massive and impressive screen, also those recliners looks rad. :)
"you can game on a 120" screen", ummm no i fucking can't, you can though, i aint that fuckin rich
SamPariz+ you don't have enough money but you physically can, it is possible for you to game on a 120 inch screen.
oh dear
I cant game on even 50 inches, its too big, I can afford it, but too big, I like monitors for gaming
1080P :(
Max Yuryev ??? That aint bad
That's not bad
MrXelium dude....1080p is perfectly passable. Calm down there 8k elite.
1080p is the high-end standard for projectors. You know those big ol screens in the movie theater that look beautiful? That's 1080p. 1080p on a projector is way different than 1080p on any other screen.
MrXelium no one makes a 4k ultra short throw projector. And i dont believe 4k projectors scale 1080p well either, nor are they cheap.
Is it just me or is a whole right-angle triangle at the bottom of the screen when the projector displays is missing? (I don't know how to word it lol)
Complicated Cow corner
I know this video is rather old, but I did this in 2009. Epson home cinema 8350 and an LG 3520A soundbar did the trick just fine. Better image quality too. This is old news.
I'm your biggest supporter , I watch your videos all day . I also like your intro "Hey guys this is Austin."
I have tried on 180 and it was fucking awesome
You tried the lg ultra short throw?
''The real advantage is in size'' - Austin Evans 2017
Hey Austin, this is Guys!
That projector is awesome, very nice for cable management.
Your always doing something crazy for our guys
Is it better than a regular TV though?
Deadly Pestilence in some ways
No
Depends on where you put it cuz even the mild sunlight in your room can ruin the experience. And definitely not better than 4k hdr.
It's bigger, but not necessarily better.
Lol absolutely not.
my school have mimio projectors that are like this but they hang from the ceiling. the look like shit though because they don't use 3lcd technology and they are low res.
CalculatinGenius same my ones are called promethian boards
My school has old fat tv's like 14 inches big .-.
4U6U570 D'4MBR4 yeah. we have crt televisions with the cart and dvd player.
We have smartboards
my old school has smartboards
Can’t help but think Austin and John TLD are both racing to see who can build a bigger set up. Tech version of “mine is bigger and better than yours”. 😏
I get that 4k is amazing and all but having this big of a screen in your room is actually pretty damn cool. Ive been using a projector as a TV for a while now and its great
Wow I've been watching your videos for 5 years now!
HEY AUSTIN THIS GUYS
Below 40” gang
What's the point of a 1080p projector? That too on a 120inch screen.. say goodbye to pixel density. Moreover all the crisp 4k content will be downsampled.
1080p is the high-end standard for projectors. You know those big ol screens in the movie theater that look beautiful? That's 1080p. 1080p on a projector is way different than 1080p on any other screen.
Justin Bailey you obviously haven't been to a dolby cinema theater that uses dual 4k HDR projecters
TpFox Those are rare af and expensive to go to. So who fucking cares.
Justin Bailey 1080p in a movie theater HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
its like: "because we are using a xbox one, we can use 4k downsampling and get ja amazing image"... bro 1080p is 1080p.. for my opinion, this setup is so wrong in so many ways, i wouldnt pay a dollar for it..
Really impressive setup/display and even more impressive in the fact that you got it done in 1 day.
So you have a gaming room. That's cool for you. Most of us won't be able to afford that. It's hard to find a free wall for that purpose in most houses. It could work out for businesses and such but most have suspended projectors
Hey guys this is exhausting!
Fail. Your screen should be placed to the wall where your eyes directly align to the center of your screen. Not looking a high area or lower area from where you sit at. Your eyes should go directly to the center. So lower that table or whatsoever, then lower the screen.
Duhoofer Sofas are big, so that if you look directly straight the tv is well within ur view
This is a requirement for me. Can’t believe the days I used to play ps1 on a big ass (28 inch, it’s all relative) thick box wall mounted up high in the corner from a bean bag down low lol now I got the 65” curved hdr 4K. At. Eye. Level. :D winning....
200% agree
Wendover productions!
120” of pure heaven 🤤...
On and the projector’s nice too. 👍🏻
Imagine that thing thing an insane sound system and an Xbox one x that thing would be a crazy awesome set-up
Why not get a 4K projector?
StoKI cause it's sponsored
And cuz there isnt any yet
Because they cost as much as a used car.
+Justin Bailey *brand new golden plated lamborghini
Justin Bailey No they don't.
They legit cost the exact same as this 1080p projector he's showing.
4k and HDR too.
Ouch $1800 for the LG projector
Hey Guys! This is not Austin!
next, one you should install accoustic foam in the room to remove the echo. that would be awesome
Really like the way the setup turned out. I find it cool how you have all the retro gaming style deceration. The one thing that I don't think you mentioned (maybe you did and I didn't hear it) was the refresh rate. I still really enjoyed the video.
Linus did this like 3 years ago...
Centric Pulse I’m dead
Uh, okay?
"My"
Just did it on a warehouse wall
Greasy forehead
Hey guys this is austin
👆
👇
Boys and girl
I think a video with ken and jimmy are the best kind of videos
''Just sit back, relax, and enjoy ANYTHING you want on this thing'', I know what I would do. Big screen, comfortable chair, box of tissues...
I wouldn't want a projector. Its hard to see at times and looks real ghosty. A TV is better in my opinion
TheMasonGamer And ParkerPro I got a $200 projector and I know it's not the best projector out there but stuff just looks so much better on TVs compared to projector
Well duh. It's only ment to be watched at night time.
Its meant for anytime, as long as you have enough lumens.
Man, I'm broke af...
Psycho Kern this is not a luxury set up..
austin plz stop over reacting
This looks fantastic. Well done!
The projector thingy is soooo cool!
Sorry austin but LG projectors are trash. You should have partnered up with samsung instead.
I'm guessing Samsung didn't reach out - this setup was sponsored by LG. Time is money.
Bullshit. I've had only LG PJs for the past 7 years and they are awesome! I have a PF1000u UST right now..and it's dope as shit.
AlphaMax Why don't you just shut up for a while, I think it looks awesome.
Or acer
Samsung trash too Epson baby
Is this man GAY
Christal Latchman we are all gay for meth
Christal Latchman Gay
Christal Latchman 😨🤤Oo
No U
Christal Latchman ....You know that gay, also means....Happy. ))
Lol I never give dislikes at the beginning of a video but when you say you're making a home theater and then say you're using a soundbar it automatically gets a dislike.
Ken's Asian Superiority Laugh got to me😂😂😂
You really have the coolest squad
Them chairs look hella comfortable.
the projector is really really crazy
That’s a cool setup. I need it for my basement!
I like it,I'd use that room 95 percent of the time
This thing is awesome! Nicely done.
Nice video, again! The projector and the entire gaming room, bare as it is, are really great. I'm sure that projector and soundbar combo are awesome when seen in person! Keep up the great crispy content creation!
That would make a dope movie night.
this projector is exactly what I've been looking for thank you so much, is what i would say if it was 18 hundos! jesus
20,000 hours is about 2 years which is about how long a bulb from a good $1000 projector will get you as most normally last 2-3 years. Don't get me wrong the projector in the video is neat but for what you could get for a similar price with a normal projector I just don't see the worth in a laser projector that for $300 more you can get a amazing $2000 normal projector. I believe these kinds are more if you don't have a ton of space but have money to blow.
Really love the projector! How it’s so close to the wall and still so clear! Cool!
That projector is amazing so ingeanious
I would have just painted the wall white and applied a matte coating, that way you can position the projector anywhere you want without a massive boarder for some reason
epic setup but holy sound reflections...needs some fabric and or acoustic foam to help with that
Cant you just place the projector on something higher so you can move the table a little closer? try it my friend. frank from LA cheers
This setup is so cool. All you need now is popcorn and 3D glasses!😂
