Tolkien is one of my favourite writers and the LOTR trilogy is the best for me. I watched this film last week and it is brilliantly sad that I had to make a video for it. There aren't many edits for this film either. I found the references to LOTR and Hobbit very amusing. I liked the Great War parts and how it showed the brutal reality of war and the dreaded battle of the Somme. Edith and Tolkien's story was very moving too. I hope you enjoy this little video!

I completely agree with you... i have two writers in my heart... Tolkien and Bernard cornwell... And of course the best show TLK and the best movie, lord of the rings and hobbit. There are magic, passion and one script who have no comparing for another! They deserve more recognise, much more!

Yet again a movie I’m not familiar with, I think from this edit I soon will be, Indeed Edith & Tolkien’s story looks to be very moving, is the mother portrayed by Laura Donnelly who played Jamie Fraser’s Sister Jenny (Outlander) I have recently been leaning more about “Middle Earth” through a channel I chanced upon (Chris Vernel) who makes costumes and weapons for GOT. and a lot of ‘Tolkien’s’ series, it is very interesting! Thank you Robbie for another well thought out video. “👌”
Yes! It’s Jenny from Outlander. She must’ve filmed this after Outlander S3. I’ll have to check that channel out Bernice. It sounds similar to what I like to watch, Man At Arms UA-cam channel which creates replicas of film/TV weapons too. I hope you are keeping well and having a nice weekend! 😊
@@RMFilmStudios I thought Jenny looked familiar, different hairstyle ‘of the period’ amazing actress! I found ‘Chris Vernel’ very clever he describes his costumes, weapons and shields 🛡 in great detail, plus he is ‘French’ and has the most beautiful copper coloured hair that I’m quite envious of, Galway thinks he could be Jamie’s Brother! 😅 I have commented on GOT ‘Nights Watch’ costumes and Gondorian Soldiers, I think you may be interested, I also loved ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ I’m keeping ok.Just now thank you Robbie, take care, and enjoy your weekend 🤗
Hello Bernice. This is Robbie. He is editing a video in his uniquely wonderful way that we are so captivated and curious and want to see this film. I also read about Tolkien's life as I didn't know anything about this writer either. Robbie's work always inspires you to learn more about the story being told or the background, a real educational channel. The film "Tolkien" can be borrowed from Amazon or UA-cam. I think I will do that. 👍
@@GalwayGirl1 found me at last, I agree Robbie always gives us videos of interest, as well as our favourite subject! I think he would enjoy Chris’s video’s also, I wonder when his surprise videos will be out he did say end of Oct. I liked it a lot. It’s a film called Tolkien released in 2019.
