Since I have came across The Catholic Talk Show I have been a fan and listen to it every week. I do enjoy how casual it is and have learned alot from these three. In this episode there was to much time spent joking around that could of been spent on learning.
@@CatholicTalkShow I think that this was your first episode. I missed you guys this week, I am assuming that everyone was busy do to Easter. I hope that all of you had a wonderful Easter.
@@CatholicTalkShow Father Pagano I sure would like to talk to you. I am a life long Catholic who is house ridden. I live in the California gold country, unfortunately we have one Priest in the county. Ten years ago we had at least three Priests here and I would be able to get a visit once in awhile. I am sure that you do not have much spare time in your life. This isn't a emergency situation, but I do have things that I do need to talk about.
Yet again, Father Pagano, every time I listen to one of these shows I hear God speaking to me. So I am not yet familiar with all the saints and how all that works, BUT the fact that you mention St Thomas is a saint that helps you in your faith journey because of the many questions...I know I am coming to believe that much deeper amd what am honor first God to have led me to your door. Thank you. May God bless you all for reaching so many.
28:12 "working out his salvation in fear and trembling..." Very interesting comment by Fr. Pagano. I always saw Paul as being completely overwhelmed by humility, proclaiming himself "the least of the apostles," but never thought about the quiet moments he must have had, where he was grappling with his own unworthiness. Then Ryan's follow up comment about how our sins and broken-ness actually prepare us for our own work as disciples. Deep stuff, guys. After the hot pockets and poo BB-Q's, didn't see that coming.
It's a very different format from everything I heard so far because of the presence of the priest. Fr. Pagano's participation was way different from what I am used seeing from priests. They usually stay more formal, just as it happened when Fr. Pagano was answering the question about the twins receiving holy communion when not only his voice's intonation but also his body language changed from water to wine.
At 14:02 - "I Set some poop on fire and cooked a Hot Pocket over it." Boy... if I had a nickel... and at 15:15 - "They're all going to laugh at you!" - Adam Sandler. Classic! Good job! Very informative and enjoyable. Looking forward to the next episode.
Yeah, I had the CD back in 1994. My friends and I could quote it beginning to end back in HS. IF you can manage to work that quote into a homily, please record it and post it to this channel. Would be AWESOME!
God is merciful. Thanks for a great show. Taylor loves seeing you Father Richard (Ryan’s too) on the big screen at home!! And we will never fall asleep During your sermons. We are blessed to be there to hear them! Blessing guys!!
I'm a practicing Catholic . I just started attending Men's Bible class at the Catholic church. Because I do not know how to interpret the Bible I only know the basis.
According to legend St Thomas was the only apostle who was not there when Our Lady was assumed into heaven because he was in India. When he came back he did not believe it so they opened the tomb and it was filled with flowers.💐💐💐🌷🌾💮🌼🌹🌷🌸🌺💐💐🌾🌻💮
Unicorn is the National animal of Scotland which is why there is a unicorn on the family crest of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of England and Scotland.
So if the donkey spoke then it had to be given also some kind of enhanced intellect or soul or something for a sec. Since it's kinda rules that animals don't exactly go to heaven in the same way. But if it was really just what the donkey had been thinking the whole time it sounds pretty dang smart
As far as Unicorns goes. Although they are private revelations, wich the Church teaches we can but arnt required to believe. Anne Catherine Emmerich said there where in fact Unicorns. I forget where or what timeline be it the Garden of Eden, Pre or post flood. There are a lot of wild things she had visions of that if true would explain the origins of a lot of mythology. Shes very interesting to read.
A fig tree is not symbolic. It is reality , It was a fig that Eve gave Adam , not apple If no fruit on the tree , then curse that tree , not every tree,
Jesus cursed the Fig tree, because of "original sin" with Adam and Eve. They were tricked by the serpent to eat from the "Tree of Knowledge." Well, that tree was a Fig Tree, as they covered themselves with "Fig leaves" when they heard God walking through the garden at sun down. Once you come to this realisation you know why Jesus cursed that tree and it was personal. The same could be said when Jesus spent 40 days and nights in the desert. He had to counteract these "curses" and the last curse was "death." His crucifixion.
Ryan D why didn’t you simply explain that you didn’t need the extra two years at seminary like Father did lol Obviously you had already learned everything you could from the seminary and Father obviously NEEDED two more years just to try and keep up with you lol Gosh even I could see that lol Im the same way ay which is why I didn’t even go to seminary because like you I didn’t need to lol
Do you anything I know about the Bible it's Abraham Adam and eve Moses in his brother. Lot That is Abrahams nephew.. Battism. She's just walking on the water Crucifixion how jesus christ Crucifixion how Jesus Christ.Who has direction?
Although I like the guitar playing on the intro music, it doesn’t seem music conducive to a Christian program. Luckily, I happen to know a song that would be much more appropriate. The fact that I wrote and recorded it has nothing to do with it. Let me know if you’ll like to hear it. I do like your program by the way.
Laughter is the best medicine it's just my opinion❤❤❤

Father Rich is prove that God has a sense of humor.

That’s why he said, “I HOPE NO ONE WILL EAT YOUR FRUIT AGAIN!” Because it was the fruit that the devil used to temp Eve. Think about it.
You guys are nuts. I like it.
Ryan don’t you still wear that baseball cap? Cleveland Indians NOW & forever
The "Jesus Hates Figs" chapter needs to be relabeled.
At 14:02 - "I Set some poop on fire and cooked a Hot Pocket over it." Boy... if I had a nickel...

I thought "Unicorn" would have come about in Genesis, and the book of Enoch, before Noah's flood. But, thank you.

I read that story not too long ago poor donkey then the angel intervened
Fresh figs are delicious 😁
If you have conjoined twins.

Jesus cursed that fig tree , because he saw no good fruit to eat . That does not mean he didnt like figs . Figs open Eve an Adam's eyes.
Could it be that Jesus hates the figs because it was the tree that bear the fruit that Eve and Adam ate?
