"The fact he's over six feet ten / might instill fear in other men / but not in me, the mighty flea (flee?) / ask if I am mouse or man / the mirror squeaked, away I ran / he'll murder me in time for his tea" The singer reveals his physical and social intimidation, acknowledging his own delusion and cowardice - without surrendering his poetic nature. And somehow it's hilarious to me. I laugh every time. Genius songwriting. (Also, those who owned Ten Summoner's Tales in physical format and read the lyrics will know I didn't make up "(flee?)")

"Seven days" is all she wrote
A kind of ultimatum note
She gave to me
She gave to me
When I thought the field had cleared
It seems another suit appeared
To challenge me
Oh, woe is me
Though I hate to make a choice
My options are decreasing mostly rapidly
Well, we'll see
I don't think she'd bluff this time
I really have to make her mine
It's plain to see
It's him or me
Monday, I could wait 'til Tuesday
If I make up my mind
Wednesday would be fine
Thursday's on my mind
Friday'd give me time
Saturday could wait
Sunday'd be too late
The fact he's over six feet ten
Might instill fear in other men
But not in me
The mighty flea
Ask if I am mouse or man
The mirror squeaked, away I ran
He'll murder me
In time for his tea
Does it bother me at all
My rival is Neanderthal?
It makes me think, hey
Perhaps I need a drink
IQ is not an issue here
We won't be playing Scrabble
For her hand I fear
I need that beer, hey
Monday, I could wait 'til Tuesday
If I make up my mind
Wednesday would be fine
Thursday's on my mind
Friday'd give me time
Saturday could wait
Sunday'd be too late
Seven days will quickly go
The fact remains, I love her so (I love her so)
Seven days, so many ways
I can't run away
No, I can't run away
Monday, I could wait 'til Tuesday
If I make up my mind
Wednesday would be fine
Thursday's on my mind
Friday'd give me time
Saturday could wait
Sunday'd be too late
Oh, Sunday
Sunday'd too late, too late
Too late, too late, oh
Do I have to tell the story
Of a thousand rainy days since we first met?
Oh!
It's a big enough umbrella
But it's always me that ends up getting wet

nothing like 5 beats per bar to make your soul want to fly
Sting and his music is always a treat 😍
"The fact he's over six feet ten / might instill fear in other men / but not in me, the mighty flea (flee?) / ask if I am mouse or man / the mirror squeaked, away I ran / he'll murder me in time for his tea" The singer reveals his physical and social intimidation, acknowledging his own delusion and cowardice - without surrendering his poetic nature. And somehow it's hilarious to me. I laugh every time. Genius songwriting.
(Also, those who owned Ten Summoner's Tales in physical format and read the lyrics will know I didn't make up "(flee?)")
He'll always be the king of pain, never forget, lad... he never hid his torment...
wait -- im lost -- is that the words he is singing - sounds like somebody's poem to me -- DUH ? hahehahehahe
@@user-du7pe6pm7d Ah wiz loast too, lad!!!

Sting Ten Summoner's Tales 1993
Drumming masterclass!
Increíblemente. 5/4 o 5/8?
5/4
5/8
Miss li
It would be 5/4 because it's 5 quarter notes per bar. 5/8 would mean there are 5 eighth notes per bar, which isn't true because in this song their are 10 eighth notes per bar.
STING ................MIX EXISTOS..............GRANDE MAESTRO ...............UN GENIO............ARGENTO ................2O23.........
Thank the Gods Sting left the classroom where he was an English teacher, and honored us with so many songs...and memories. 💜🤗✌💕Sting
Hello maris
How are you doing?
It's a pleasure to have you here!
Salute to him for always making songs without any vulgarity or abusive words !
Ah, Vinnie, you drumming genius!
Sting: can you make it sound a bit more like Copeland?
The little tastes of 6/8 he puts in the groove are amazing
I think it's 5/4
Musicians at the top of their game -- alongside one of the best song writers.
A tasteful song with a tremendous amount of musical substance. Vinnie’s dynamics and agile chops really embellish this song. From Vinnie’s mouth this is done in 5/4.
Dear Sting,
If by chance, you'd read this, I'll gladly let you know your music is absolutely timeless. And I love it
THE MASTERPIECES STING!
I love the story in this song. Brilliant, it unfolds in your mind like a play.
Top musicians playing one of the best albums recorded.
Thanks a lot for helping us in our hard times , Sting ! Big Fan ! You are G.O.A.T ! Your music is a medicine for overcoming anxieties , sadness and loneliness !
How brilliant is this. Sting was there with the Police in my musical infancy, now in my elder years there's still classics like these. Lucky to be alive during his career
This album plunged me further into depression after a breakup and then pulled me out of the depths just in time. It was there as a guide that led me out of massive depression. My fav drummer of his - of all time. Man, the bridge of this song hits me so damn hard still.
I hope you are feeling better now.
@@davidmg1925 I am. Thank you brother.
What a gift to humanity. Music is worth living for.
Best compliment you can give a drummer is to tell him he is playing “unselfishly “… this guy is the definition of that term…
Holy Crap... Gives me goosebumps every time I hear VC on this. Great song
VINNIE!!
Ayo what a surprise!
Can we all agree on Master Colaiuta?
Gorgeous song and Vinnie Colaiuta, you're the man! You make the drums sound like a hot cup of cocoa on a cold winter day.
Vinnie is amazing !!! one of the best out there….i love his touches on the splashes…put you in the mind of Stewart 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He still tours!
Ive seen him twice in Germany!
Absolutely wonderful and makes me smile to hear this.

This song never gets old. No matter how much I listen, I never get bored.
Never ever❤
The sound of rain falling onto puddles is here vividly painted in sound, exquisite
This is my favourite Sting song and this era of music was the happiest time in my life.
Followed closely by the entire "The Last Ship" score. I love the music from that play so much, it just screams "the North East".
This music is flowiing like a mountain stream...and I love some nostalgic mood in tune...it gives me beauty of real life.
This beautiful melody gliding through 5/4 overlaid with more syncopation. These guys make it sound so easy.
