I have been watching your videos for a while, on 12/26/2023 I received my TOOBS Sandalwood shave cream in the mail. I was so excited!! This shave cream and scent are so amazing!! I plan to buy more from the company. Hats off to you Geo!!
After years of hearing about TOBS Sandlewood I finally got a tub , even though I have a great shave den. The scent is wonderful . I can't wait to shave with it !
I started using tailor of old bond street last year. I discovered it on you tube and I have fallen in love with it. Sandalwood was the first scent I bought and it lasted over a year. I am now trying coconut. Yes a brush is definitely the way to go. It adds to the overall experience. I will never go back to those cheap foam spray cans.
I like the fingering method. In my view, this is the best way to keep the cream in the tub fresh for a long time. Bowl lathering then with a silvertip badger is unrivalled. This cream is fantastic. Thank you Geo for this wonderful review.
I watched the video of “Our Story” that described what you and your family went through in 2010. It says a lot about your character to bounce back from that financial hit. Your videos have inspired me to start wet shaving using time honoured methods and using tools that will last a lifetime (razors, brushes etc). Your Top 10 product list was very helpful. Thanks for your videos, they are making a difference. Using cartridges for shaving is incredibly wasteful and that’s why I am making the shift to wet shaving. You rock dude.
My first nice shave cream I got when I was fifteen was Taylor of Old Bond Street in rose. It was cause of your videos I got into wet shaving. I’m now twenty three and still love my Taylor of Old Bond Street creams.
I bought my first tub of sandalwood shaving cream two days ago and today I shall be having my first sandalwood shave, really looking forward to to it very much and did not realise how so little lathers up so much. Thanks for the tips and video.
I love this product line including the pre and post shave oils and lotion. Great smell!! I also want to say that Gio and his family have the same business acumen and professionalism found by businesses that undersell and over deliver to their customers. I for one have already made several purchases and have every intention of using them exclusively for my shaving needs. I will be happy to watch them grow into other ancillary products.
geofatboy No worries at all, I'm currently using the Muhle R41 with Feather Hi-Stainless Blades and Eton College which makes for me the perfect setup/combo.
i actually got a a brush and sandal wood shaving creme starting using a saftey razor few months ago it really is the best shave i had and the blades are literally pennies. cheap and effective and very soothing and pleasant experience.
I've been using ToOBS sandalwood cologne every day for nearly two years and it's such a beautiful, timeless fragrance. Now whenever I catch a whiff of more expensive, designer scents they smell too sickly or too strongly of alcohol to me. Have you tried their tobacco leaf shaving cream? It sounds lovely and I really like the idea of shaving my baldy noggin with some!
i have a bald noggin as well and i literally just bought the tobacco leaf shave cream for my head and face lol cant wait. ive never purchased TOBS sandalwood bc I already have it in Prorasso. Whenever that tube runs out months from now maybe I'll make the switch
Good content, loved the video. One quick question. Do I have to worry about making sure there's not too much water in the shaving cream container after I've dipped the brush in and built the lather on my face? i.e. will it grow bacteria or spoil the cream if it's too watery?
TOBS Organic Formula works really well for my ultra sensitive facial skin. I second your motion on TOBS being one of the best shave creams and a little goes a long way. The lather builds fast with the bowl/brush method. Cheers 🍻!
I recently made the switch to a double edge safety razor and happen to be using the cederwood version of this cream. I was just wondering anyone else found the cream to be overly cold? Is this normal or intended? I just would of thought applying something cold to your face during a warm water shave was counter intuitive? On a side note, Geofatboy, your videos have been really helpful during the switch and I'm glad I made it. I enjoy shaving much more now and find it relaxing rather than a chore. Still experiencing razor burn after a month of use (2/3 times a week) however, but practice makes perfect I guess.
I'm fairly new to wet shaving with handmade lather but the amazing smell of TOBS is probably the one thing I enjoy the most. So far I have only tried Cedarwood (which I love!) but will definitely try Sandalwood as well :) One question though: if I start with swirling the wet brush in the container, should I then leave it open, so it could dry up, or do I cover it right away?
'If you don't have a brush..' err go and buy one! Else smear it all over your hands and face, meh...can't wait for the 'clean your teeth with a finger' video! i have the TOBS sandalwood aftershave and that's not bad either. T
I've been using penhaligons until I tried taylors Eton College shaving cream last night , blimey what a difference, taylors for me from now on love it 😀
I love this brand of soap. Definitely the best I’ve used. The lather you get from this is great. I just bought the Lavender scent the other day and I like it better than the Sandalwood.
I use TOBS sandalwood cologne unfortunatly I can't use the cream as it irritates my face for some reason. It's a pitty because I love the scent and TOBS is my favourite brand of shaving cream. I'm currently using their peppermint shave cream it smalles great and is really refreshing.
@@geofatboy oh I absolutely LOVE the cedarwood! Very masculine, if anybody's concerned about that. My wife tells me I smell nice after I use it! The grapefruit is fantastic, too.
Just got the TOBS Sandalwood Cream, my goodness it was a smooth relaxing shave with my Bergischer Lowe, just an awesome shave tonight. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hey Geo. Im starting to DE shave but getting a brush is a bit too far and im looking for a very nice brushless cream or soap. What would you recommend? I want really nice quality. Is this Taylor nice? I have heard of some Wandi Men brushless and also your review of suavecito..
Hi Carlos, This is one of my favorite brushless shaving creams: shavenation.com/products/cella-rapid-shaving-cream It works very well and leaves your skin soft and well conditioned.

I got a great, smooth close shave and the sandalwood scent stayed on throughout the day. This Tyler of Old Bond Street will be a permanent addition to the shave soap/cream/foam stable.
Hello GFB Personally I like the Taylors for sensitive skin but I do like the Sandalwood as well. By the by that expensive wood is Ebony (Diospyros crassiflora - the blackest and most dense) and comes from the Congo regions in Africa, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia to name but a few but the African wood is dense enough to sink in water :D
TOOBS Sandalwood was the very first cream I used when I switched to DE shaving. It remains one of my favs, though I actually prefer Proraso Sandalwood due to its more subtle scent.
Great video, brother! Very informative! I've always hated shaving, till I started using a safety razor and Taylor of Old Bond Street. Keep it up, Brother.

Hey Geo thanks for the great video again. I noticed that your licking your lips when you lather up in your bowl... How's the taste? Lol. So I'm defending going to get my hands on one now. Have a good day. 👍👍👍
This video has solidified my decision to go with 'Taylor of Old Bond Street' after reading many reviews and watching other video reviews. Geofatboy, your videos are always very well presented and give a comfort to first time buyers like myself. I enjoyed the brief on Sandalwood and how it compares to other woods in the market (such as African Blackwood). 10/10 for your channel. I will be visiting anytime I need more advice!
I must be the only alien dude on this planet that cannot get a good shave with this cream. I've tried about 12 times over a 12 month period, and it just leaves me with splotchy and stinging skin. I get great shaves from Proraso Green, Nivea, and plenty of other cheap and not so cheap creams - I even get great shaves from plain old Olive Oil, but this stuff just does not work for me. I envy you guys, because I really love the smell, texture etc. But no dice unfortunately.
I absolutely love this stuff. It’s the best cream.
I second that emotion!

Hey Geo thanks for the great video again. I noticed that your licking your lips when you lather up in your bowl... How's the taste? Lol. So I'm defending going to get my hands on one now. Have a good day. 👍👍👍
All I can say is Num Num...
The first time i got me jar i wanted to eat it it smells so good
I don't think it's a coincidence at all. I'm certain you have influenced many people to purchase this as their first product.
Thank you for your support and sweet comment Frag!
It was mine, but I chose Cedarwood
Fantasticos opos panta. Bravo :-)
Just so you know GeoFat boy the TOBS soap is much better than the cream.
I emphatically agree. TOBS call it "Sandalwood Herbal" to distinguish it from their other sandalwood fragrances. Glorious aroma.
I used this till I tried Proraso sandalwood.
You're nuts. I have both and TOBS is way better in every way. There's a reason Proraso is so cheap.
