If you don't want to take your whole laptop apart, Hold the power button for 10 seconds, connect the charger and then turn it on.

@@littlebeast5588 hold it longer, and then do the other steps. try multiple times, otherwise its broken and needs to actually be fixed (the screen probably) but it should work otherwise

If this does not work make sure you turn off your PC and disconnect the battery inside the PC not the battery that you charge that's meant to turn on your compute. When you are done with that make sure it's unplugged for around 1 minute then plug it back in and enjoy

First unplug ur battery and press power button for 40sec and then plug ur battery and charger and wait for a moment 15 sec and press the power botton

Thank you. This helped fix my HP EliteBook 840. I had to do an additional step. Once it began powering on, I got different blinking lights - the Caps Lock and Scroll/Num Lock buttons blinking 3 times repeatedly. From there I found a solution online in the HP forums that said to remove the RAM modules, and one at a time, put a RAM module in each slot and try to power on. Laptop booted successfully with one RAM module (I figure the other one must have gone bad). Thanks again

If someone wnats to try few things at home first...
1) unplug the laptop
2) hold power button for 1 complete min
3) plug the charger
4) single press power button

I haven’t used my computer in a month and I just now powered it back on, at first I pushed my power button it turned on but had a black screen with lines that was glitching, I powered it back off for a little then it turned on but then the lights on my computer was on so the power is on but my computer is not turning on and the lights are blinking on and off.

I've experienced this case just this night and recovered from it for about an hour. I have been only pressing the power button for seconds, as most of the comments instructed, but still nothing happens. When I charge it for awhile, I then press the power button again while the battery is on and while the charger is connected, and voila, it's fixed. 😂

This process won't affect your files. If it is urgent, remove your hard disk and Files can be accessed if you connect your harddisk to any other PC as an external drive using a sata to usb adapter
You can actuall do that.... Just entirely remove the SSD drive or HDD drive and access it using another computer

Just remove the battery and do the follow the same steps
Removing the ram is not necessary
I just pressed the small screen button near the fold part about the size of a toothpick, 6 inches to the left.
Held it down while pressing the power button and it turned on!

If laptop is shutting off with high temperature warning or without warning, everytime while heavy cpu-gpu task, or gaming.
Then dont try to power on again and goto a technician otherwise it can be short dead. or you'll loose your heavy components.

Same thing happened in my new asus vivobook it been only 8days and it happening like this but I don't have screw driver of that size to open so should I give to service centre to repair it or replace it because it is new laptop only 8days
Your new laptop will be under warranty. So its better to not open yourself. Get it repaired free of cost from authorised service center. They might give a free replacement since its just 8 days old
