I think my issue is related to BIOS and I need to reset it. Since long my Vaio laptop battery had gone exhausted. So, I used to start my laptop by connecting it directly and pressing the power button on, lights would start blinking, fan would start running but there'd be no display; the laptop wouldn't turn on. In such a situation can I connect the laptop with an external monitor or an led tv will there be display? If yes, what does that signify? Please confirm connecting the laptop with an external monitor is advisable? The laptop screen went black when the boot mode was changed from LEGACY to UEFI. Do you think by taking out the CMOS battery will reset the BIOS?

@@demogorgon1043 maybe your laptop is the latest one? Don't open it if you're not an expert like me. It will mess up. Just press the instructions i have been done and be patient just keep clicking the power button 20-30 seconds plus B/V, Windows button together.

Its indication of Hardware failure, hard to be specific without more information like beeping sound, or pattern of the beep etc but you can follow the same things as shown in this video, then if not solved go to service centre, its hard to understand if any critical problem is there

I have a dell precision 5530 laptop. when I want to turn it on for the first time after a few hours. when I press the power button, the keyboard backlight turns on and the fan starts working bu the monitor does not turn on. After that I press the power button for 2 or 3 seconds to force shutdown and then when I press the power button again the system turns on without any problems and the display turns on as well. can you help me with this issue?

Then it could be something complicated, like bios chip issue....
BTW, Is the led indicator lighting?
Remove the battery and keyboard.. then put the battery back and power on, after booting dont turn off and back the keyboard
