  • Recipe here: www.joyofbaking.com/cookiereci... Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make Cinnamon Roll Cookies. These cookies are very similar to a cookie called Rugelach, only they are in a spiral shape instead of the more common crescent shape. They are made with a Cream Cheese Pastry. This pastry has a slightly tangy flavor with a texture that is so wonderfully tender and flaky. It is also quite elastic which makes it easy to roll out.

    Hi,
    I made these today, so yummy, that's great !
    Loved the idea of baking them as rolled cookies. I used quince jam instead of apricot preserves.
    Thank you so much. You are awesome.

    Oh wow! Those look great. I will have to try those this holiday season. I make something close to that which is a hungarian cookie. Kifli's are the name of them. They use the same dough and have walnut centers. They are rolled out like a crescent roll.

    It looks as though this is a video from a year ago, whatever! It’s sent me out to get cream cheese and apricot jam. I’m making these ASAP. When I heard you say you can make ahead of time that was a bonus. By the way, I made your GINGER COOKIES last weekend family and our friends LOVED them. They said whatever recipe I used to keep it. I told everyone that I follow you on your site. I’ve baked 16 of your recipes and every one absolutely delicious. A couple I made little mistakes on but still good. I’ve started using a scale since you recommend one. Besides this cookie recipe the next one I’m going to try is ICEBOX CAKE. Thank you for being so generous with your passion. And a thank you to your husband for his wonderful taping. I think you should put your recipes in a book. I would buy it! 🙏🏻 🥰 🤗

    Do you have to chill the roll before baking? What happens if you don't?

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  6 років тому

      I prefer to chill the roll as I find it easier to slice off the cookies. But you could slice and bake right away.

  • @butterbean818

    Is it crunchy like a cookie or tender and crispy like pastry?

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  6 років тому

      This pastry is tender, although when first baked, the edges are a little crispy.

    Can you please tell me what would be the best substitute for cream cheese? I cannot it in my country 😞

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  2 роки тому

      I've never tried substituting the cream cheese in this recipe. You could try using mascarpone cheese but I'm not sure how it would work.

    So I could just leave out the jam and just sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon?

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  6 років тому

      You could leave out the jam. However, the jam acts as a glue for the cinnamon sugar, so maybe brush the pastry lightly with water before sprinkling on the cinnamon sugar.

    Hello are you Jewish because that when you use kosher Salt that salt is jewish

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  6 років тому

      I like to use kosher salt because of its mild flavor. You could use regular table salt instead.

  • @newhorizonslifecoachcheers

    It's a Jewish filled pastery and not a cookie.
