Dough: 2 cups of flour, 1/2 tsp of salt, 3 tbsp of sugar, 1 cup of butter, 2 cups + 2 tablespoon of cream cheese Filling: 1 1/4 cup chocolate, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4tsp cinnamon, pinch of salt! This is just an estimation because cups are a little less precise than grams :) Let me know how it works out!
Can you use dark chocolate? Does it need the sugar added or can you leave it out? Can you use dough as pie dough? Can you roll it into triangles or will the filling leak out?
Hi! You can use dark chocolate if you want :) For the sugar, we never tried without it but I guess you can leave it out if you want it less sweet! But it wasn't overly sweet as it is! We never used it as pie dough but it is worth a try! It looks like a shortcrust pastry recipe but with cream cheese added! The filling wasn't leaking out, so it should be perfect rolled into triangles :) Let us know if this helped!
I tried the dark chocolate with the brown sugar it was good and I did rectanglesand triangles and it didn't leak out after it baked . I used a bit of the dough as a mini pie crust. It worked out well. Next time I think I will try using the semi sweet chocolate without the sugar. The chocolate did start to harden after it sat for 5 mjns. And before I had time to roll out all the triangles, so I had to sort of roll and crack up the chocolate after it was already spread out and I was able to continue to roll it up. It taste better once it sat out a bit . The dough was still a bit soft out of the oven, but harden as it sat and the buttery flavor came out when I tried it a few hours later.
You can replace these product by their dairy free replacement ! Dairy free butter, dairy free cream cheese and any milk replacement ! Pretty sure it would work just fine!
The sugar and cinnamon should dissolve into the melted chocolate over the water bath. If it wasn’t dissolving properly, it could be due to the chocolate not being warm enough or not stirred long enough. Try keeping the chocolate over gentle heat a little longer and stirring thoroughly to ensure everything blends smoothly. Let me know if this helps! 😊🍫

Can I use Nutella as a filling or strawberry jam?
Yes you can :) but I don't know maybe it will not stay as much inside of the cookie and drip a little! Tell us the result of you try :)

We recently made them for a Christmas cookie box & they were very good 💕
All the butter melts out of these into a big pool on the pan, every time I make them. ☹️ And yes, I do chill them before baking.
They do leak a little! After baking how are they? Do they turn out okay?
