My favourite part about the Squidcide creepy pasta was that the team behind spongebob tried to put a refrence to the creepy pastas into one of the episodes, but it was cut from the movie for being too frightening for children
Now, Squidward Sewer Side is now part of the canon event to the Spongebob series.

They immediately changed it in the next airings tho, they knew parents would shit their pants over it 😂 it wasnt "that bad" tho

1999 always sends chills up my spine. I grew up not far from where the story is set, and I watched TVO Kids for a large portion of my youth. Even all the way down to referencing the exact jargon used for our driver's licensing. SO so impactful

did you notice the Letter from "ReturnTheB" on 1999 was read wrong? cause it started like i remember with the "Dear Elliot, my sweet Elliot" but then it jumped into the Laws for Public Access in the US
As someone who also lives near where the story takes place I feel that wholeheartedly. It used to chill me to the bone when I first heard about 1999. I used to religiously watch TVO kids when I was younger so it hit waayyy to close to home. But it’s one of my favourites to this day.

If a vol 3 does happens, I would love to see some Japanese creepypasta/urban legends included like Cowhead, Split mouth woman, Tomino's Hell (that photo still freaks me out to this day)

Split mouth was really fundamental creepypasta for me
Cowhead scared me the most tbh but there was one that scared me EVEN MORE than Cowhead but I forgot what it was about I think it involved being trapped in a dream or smthn like that

1999 was probably the most goated creepypasta for me because it felt like it could be real. No corny monsters or weird entities, just evil. The part where the detective reviews the footage of the fire reminds me of the scene from True Detective when Marty and Rust watch the footage of the Tuttle Cult and it's chilling. Because it's real.
Creepypastas are so nostalgic. They were like little campfire stories, some used to trip me out so much like some video game creepypastas like Ben Drowned and others.
Even now some like the Jeff the Killer picture still freak me out.

Hearing these stories again, they really are corny. It's crazy how they used to genuinely freak me and my friends out a decade ago. It's also just so nostalgic, really enjoying this series. Hopefully the new generations have some good creepypastas to grow up with, would hate to see this form of media die out.

Wasn’t that because of drama over paint with the soul being plagiarized off of a UA-cam series?
And that version apparently being a rewrite of the original.

1999 is by far my favourite story/creepypasta u have read out so far, the fact they even came back multiple times to fill in with more “intel” about this serial killer known as “Mr. Bear” is just crazy dedication to an amazing story!

1999 was near perfect until the very last post where it's implied that Mr. Bear got to the writer in the end, kind of a lame ending honestly for something so compellingly written. I think they had the right idea with giving us an unsatisfying conclusion, but it should've been one that left the mystery unsolved and forgotten to time rather than being like "the locals weren't bullshitting and the guy in the bear suit was indeed still alive and roaming around and stalked the protag ever since he came back as an adult to explore the cellar lmao".
Like you had a damn good thing going and decided to just hit us with the most predictable horror movie ending at the finish.

That’s strange I remember the old mr creepy pasta reading not having that ending. I remember it just cutting off after he finds nothing.
I'm a sucker for it, but 1999 is definitely the best one on the list. As far as the stories go, it is the longest and best written. The format of updating a thread always gets me, and the fact it spands over many years as the person works to find out more is great. I just think the writing is clever and the whole idea as a horror fiction is great. Russian Sleep is pretty good, but I think 1999 just works better for me. Really does remind me of those days I'd just listen to CreepyPastaJr and Clancy on repeat.
Edit: Love you man, but I gotta say, Mr. Nightmare takes the cake on narrating 2 am Smiling Man. Something about his narration set the mood and really made it as horrifying as it sounds. To be far, it is his job, so makes sense, but loved the video.
The first story is pretty chilling. Also Tuv has such a great narrating/reading voice

I really like how you read the stories (the casual tone and pacing). Having your thoughts and opinions right before and after the story also helps keep my attention and section off the stories (rather than feeling like a gigantic lump of information).
I was listening to this video as I was doing research for my PhD project, and the video helped me pass the time and not have my school work feel as boring. Very ADHD friendly.
1999 is my favourite Creepypasta of all time. CreepsMcPasta's reading is so nostalgic.
I remember playing BioShock 2 on the 360 while listening to it. Good times.
By god, the Ronald Mc Donald House pasta sent me back. I thought it was an obscure story nobody really knew about.
Dear Abby, The Crawlspace, Storage Room 6, Psychosis, Prisoner 959, Hunger, The Worlds Best School Psychologist, Childrens Playground, Boothworld Industries and Happy Sun Daycare were some of the creepiest pastas that scared me for a bit. I know it's a lot of stories sorry about that.
My Dog was Lost for Three Days is another gem, it's my number one favorite and I still return to it every once in a while
i've got a pretty generic/boring one that stuck with me since the time it came out in like 2012. Tying The Knot, I think it was. Best way to honestly describe it would be as an intro to some low budget slasher movie, but somehow it's managed to stick in my memory as one of the first ones I've read. The image the author attached was pretty memorable to middle schooler me, I guess.
Worlds Best School Psychologist and Happy Sun definitely brought back memories.

The Russian Sleep experiment will always be my favourite. It was well done, it tricked a lot of people due to how real it seemed. It's so well wrote and when I was younger it terrified me
The best versions of 1999 were taken down. There were some extension versions that included extra shows that were on Caledon 21 as well as further email correspondences with some extra photos and additional victims of Mr bear.
It’s the only creepypasta that’s ever had the original author send out take downs on all extra non canon content. As far as I’m aware.
Could you imagine the power one would have if someone truly who loves horror films produced a film based on the Russian sleep experiment? The team involved with that creation would basically be gods.

1999 was one of the first creepypastas i ever actually read. the other ones( jeff the killer, ticci toby, slenderman, etc.,) were just things i knew of because of videos and games. i never understood how actually scary 1999 was until i rediscovered it not long ago. hearing it read by someone else really helps you realize just how horrifying it is, too, to be honest.

If you do make a number 3 i would love to see you cover ben drowned. It’s always been my favorite creepypasta. It is the first creepypasta I’ve ever seen things on and it’s always had a special place in my heart, which is kind of funny to say about a creepy pasta, but 🤷♀️
Ted the Caver is a super good nostalgic one. I think it holds up actually - I remember rereading it a few years ago and not cringing to death, but I could be wrong. Gotta have the pictures though. It always gave me the creeps as an avid caver. I know a lot of people have huge fears of caves/caving so bonus fear factor!

Fake or not, everyone knows about Squidward’s S**cide. It’s to the point where even Nickelodeon themselves know about it!
They even put that image of Squidward in an early version of the episode titled “SpongeBob in Randomland” as an easter egg!
While it was cut later on, it still goes to show how popular that creepypasta is!
i think i found an unedited version of the Squidward's Suicide image. I searched up pms 333 on google, because I've seen videos from a youtuber named AquaticNeptune and some videos have a joke about Squidward's color which is pms 333. That image looked exactly the same as this image in 16:47 but the eyes were completely normal.

surprisingly even though i’m a huge horror fan i never got into creepypasta except for the russian sleep experiment i was so obsessed with it i tried to find evidence that it was real and instead just became fascinated in the ww2 experiments done at concentration camps

Honestly this was a highly enjoyable video, I hadn't heard about most of these Creepy Pasta, but they were REALLY interesting, my favourite has got to be 1999, it was the longest story but went into great detail of what was happening. I like this new content, that's longer - even if you have to wait more, you get great content for almost 2 hours!!!!

Next I wanna say I think that the idea of you covering more modern and obscure Creepypastas is a dope idea, but could you maybe cover actual CREEPYPASTAS? Like, not those 3 hour videos called some shit like "I spent 5 months as a firefighter in an abandoned town. You'd be horrified at what I did to survive" (just made that up lol) because sure, some of those stories are really good but they're not something you'd copy and paste, therefore they're not really copypastas or creepypastas. maybe shorter stories like "If you're armed at the glenmont metro, please shoot me", "Zombie outbreak, 2012", "Pursuaded", "An Egg", Etc.
