Welcome back Sylvester. So happy to hear this. We need normalcy and good movies again. Not every movie needs to be a political statement or propaganda. We just want good old stories, action and adventures that takes our minds OFF the stress of every day wokeness.

I've always said that if Hollywood was honest, and the media was honest, Stallone's achievement with the first 4 Rocky movies is as impressive as anything ever done on film. And I mean by ANY standard. Financially the success speaks for itself. But they were also critically successful, until the 4th film, which was hated purely because Reagan said HE liked it. But most of all, and most importantly, they resonate so powerfully with the audience. Very few movies even try to speak to themes that matter to day-to-day Americans. The emphasis on hard work, integrity, faith, and loyalty to the people in your life...whether they make it easy, like Adrian, or hard, like Paulie...for most of us, that's what life is ultimately about. And the Rocky franchise is forged on precisely those elements.

Stallone should start his own studios. He could start a studio that makes movies normal people want to see.
I for one am sick and tried of all this Woke bullshit. I for one stopped going to the movies 1) cost of one ticket too high 2) movies and not entertaining anymore. And you know what I don't miss spending close to $100.00 for 90 mins of junk no talent actors like what use to be fun to go to on a Saturday afternoon. Now days they make JUNK for movies and you don't hardly see any good actors and actresses any like Steve McQueen so sorry they don't make them good quality movies that were so fun to go see.

Kevin Sorbo, Michael Hurst, and Lucy Lawless pretty much guided me through my teens. I always thought it was crazy that Sam Raimi, the man who brought us Evil Dead created Hercules.
I applaud people like Sylvester Stallone if he truly is trying to avoid these projects with all these social justice messages. Give us a freaking break with this garbage already. Then these hollywood studios wonder why they're losing so much money. The regular, every-day average moviegoer is not interested in this type of content in films. We just want to be entertained, not pseudo-preached to.

I can't recall when I last saw a movie. I think it was one of the Star Wars sequels. I do remember that the theater stunk of beer and pizza and the interruption of food being delivered. Popcorn smell is so last century I guess.
The same with television. I haven't watched a show in years and I gave up on TV News as well. The old newspaper I read for years first became as thin as toilet paper. What was left was sourced from some collective that sold the same articles to all the papers. A necessary act since there were no longer any reporters or writers employed by the paper. Three newspapers a day were delivered to the nearest supermarket and were still there at the end of the day. They laid there until they were thrown away or just taken by a customer I took the old ones just to play with the puzzles. My wife and I watch old movies from the 1930s on when there were real actors and directors.
Kudos to Stallone and Sorbo for seeing the light at last. Perhaps they can convince others out in LaLa Land. When the actors start refusing to participate in the wokeness maybe the studios will change too.

I am the least religious person in the world, but cancelling people like Sorbo cause of his belief is just wrong, and a lot of what he's saying is perfectly true. And everything Stallone has said is absolutely the truth.

I have to keep wondering every time I hear Rachel Zegler open her mouth about Snow White and her roll in it... "Have we even watched the same movie?"
I'm of the opinion to get the people who support some of these movies' changes to have them they need to point out where a few of the flaws actually are to the public, like the behind the scenes extras on DVDs did in the past for deleted scenes. Rachel makes a terrible point about Snow White "being chased by a stalker," there are only two chase scenes. The first is when the unnamed huntsman kind of regrettably chases Snow White through the woods to murder her on the queen's orders. She survived, but I always have sensed he didn't want to do it because he comes back with a piece of cloth, meaning he easily tracked, but let her slip away to live. The second was when the dwarves left the cottage to chase the wicked queen out of shock and sorrow for what she did to Snow White. I'm a guy, and the final scene where she killed herself by slipping off a cliff in the rain still terrifies me.
I believe if there's going to be woke movies in Hollywood it's fine, but if they're as uneducated at their own craft as Ms. Zegler sounds throw them out. Does anyone in Hollywood get any sort of cinematography training anymore? I've watched a good deal of stuff from Birth of a Nation to Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse and there's so much out there that people don't look for in a movie beyond it's entertaining value.
I hope Mr. Stallone keeps on turning down a few roles here and there or makes his own movies again, more likely as a director, because he's someone who has proven he knows what it takes to craft a movie, at least in the action or drama genre. Hollywood needs to get a permanent cinematography department on hand for their business and have them ask, "What actually advances our craft without upsetting people?"

The notion of older people standing up to the disturbing changes in our society is great. The Woke movies are doing poorly in theaters, box office poison, because REAL Americans don't like the direct and subtle political messaging in them. The producers of television shows and movies need to wake up to reality and stop bending their knees to a minority of people who demand the obscene to be accepted in our society.

Woke isn't actually the problem. It is the hate-filled activists (on both sides, no matter the issue) who poison any discussion. The Golden Way of Reason, Balance and Rationality is the difficult path. This Way takes a lot of work and is difficult to walk because in the middle you get hit in the face from all sides.

Stallone wouldn't sell the script he wrote for Rocky for $250,000 when he was unknown and so broke he had to sell his dog, all because he has strong principles and wanted to star in Rocky himself. It's nice to see those principles are still intact. It's never been about the money for him, and it's great to see.
