    So lovely to see a long term project like this one! so much time ruling up and planning the patterns. I love the red and blue. Thanks for sharing, you're very inspiring :)

    I was so excited to see this post this morning. It looks stunning! I’ve started my first sashiko project and I’m learning so much, like how much practice I need and how talented you are. Thank you for these videos. 🙏

    It's amazing and looks so pretty. You are so clever. I can't imagine ever being able to work out the stitching direction to produce such a lovely back side.

    Very, very nice job. The busy areas are busy, so I also liked the less busy areas. As we say in quiltmaking...it give us a place to rest our eyes!
    I also liked the 2 identical patterns, next to each other with different thread colors; it helps to see the pattern better. The Japanese names for each pattern mean what? Please and thank you!

      Thank you! I’ll try to research and make a video about meaning of the patterns😊💕

    very labor-intensive, but also very well done! There is also a lot of brainwork involved, I had already tried simpler patterns and had to think again and again where to lead the tread, great respect for this achievement and thank you for sharing❣

    I was about to say it was bold to resize one pattern during the stitching when you said you spilled water😅
    Great work !

    It looks so beautiful on both the front and the back! I’d agree with what you said about placing the patterns with the busier patterns all together, but in spite of that, the overall appearance still seems quite balanced, probably due to the choice of colours you used.
    Do you think you’ll have another go at something like this in the future? I really love how it turned out.

      Thank you! I’ve been making simpler pieces and doing the basics of Sashiko for videos for the last year or so but this is more of what I really enjoy😊
      I’d love to do more of these💕

      That’s a Sashiko thimble which you can purchase commercially. I also use one I’ve made by myself.
      My current tools are in this video if you are interested😊⬇️

    Can you demonstrate how to stitch the fan pattern? I think it’s called uchiwa.

    • @thegreenwrapper
      @thegreenwrapper  Місяць тому

      Hi! I’m happy to help but I actually don’t know the pattern. I found multiple Sashiko designs called Uchiwa online but they all seem to be someone’s original designs than a traditional pattern.
      I can demonstrate if it’s a traditional pattern👍
