Flying with my oldest son is one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had as a dad, since my boys went and got all grown up on me- without my permission, I might add😊 They're all 20 somethings now. So, those times are few and far between. What a cool experience. Great job, Andrew! Thanks for keeping all of that chaos in frame, Camera Crew! Shame you had to give up a mic. We miss your super helpful comments. But, Andrew's input and perspective was very helpful and insightful.😊 👍
yeah, ours are doing that too! Growing up without our permission ;) Trying to capitalize on it while we have them around, and hoping to make some way of keeping them around for longer, but they'll be soon able to move out, if they wish, and strike out on their own. Scary to think about how soon that will be!
@@BrianPhillipsRC We all love our kids and all. But, secretly we're all covetous of that RC plane real estate currently masquerading as their bed rooms. Right?👍
Fun video! I enjoyed seeing both copters in the air simultaneously! Excellent unboxing segment too! Bro, you are high on life or just had some gummies possibly, lol. You had me cracking up! "Square penetration!"
@ at first I was thinking somewhere in Idaho closer to me. It’s very pretty where you’re at. Thanks for your enthusiasm in your videos. You’re clearly enjoying it! 😁
I sure do! It's great to fly with Andrew, and he's getting better and better. When I come home from work, and he's flying, it makes me so happy to see!
I've got both of these too, and I've also got a son. You are giving me ideas. I have the Flywing helis on my channel and haven't really done anything with the Apaches yet. In reality they usually travel in teams of two or more for missions, so this was awesome. You have also inspired me to get that windmeter using your link.
Oh your such a tease with those gorgous helli.. Lucky I'm detracted with my first plane. Fms pa 1300mm. I just found the perfect spot to fly, it's lke 500 meters from my house. I've had 2 flights this morning going back for my third.. Woo hoo... What helli other lol
Drone is easy to tell front and back if you get an fpv drone which is so much better than an expensive small Heli. Can never see paying 600 for something so small
I like the apache gps but not the battery flying times surly with the technology of today they can produce longer flying time batteries but they won't .
Gday to all Brian's viewers. I need some advice. I just had my 9th flight on my new fms pa 1300mm cub. I got the rtf. Anyway I was just flying and the plane was moving away from me. I thought ide missed the timer and the battery went dead and I lost control. The plane stayed at level flight still moving way from me. I was waiting for it to drop. Ipulled the throttle off thinking I want it to go down before it gets too far away but it just stayed level. All this time I'm frantically trying to bank it and I had no ailerons at all. Then all of a sudden I saw the wings bank, and I was able to fly it back and land. I pulled my timer out that I didn't hear and I was in the air for 7 mins. I checked the battery it's at 3.84 volts across the cells. So can someone tell me what might have happened. Obviously it was a loss off signal otherwise I would still have had control. But yeah the plane probably travelled a good 50 meters on its own before it listened to me and turned around. By the time I got it turned I would hate to think how far away I was. I would appreciate any input from the community. This is my first plane now I to scared to fly it again In case it flies away. I've got my antennas mounted vertically and horizontally, can any one help.. Thanks fellas
Check your antennas. You can do a RANGE TEST with a quality radio. Look in the manual for that EXACT radio and I bet there's a way. What happens with a RANGE TEST, is you lower the transmitter's radio power to a factor of 10% normal output, then you have someone move the sticks (not throttle) and then watch how far you can walk away and still see consistent movement. This will them help you calculate how far you can get away from the plane. This is something that you need to try to figure out before you take back to the skies. It's also not impossible that you're experiencing some radio interference, but seems more a loss of signal, based on your reporting.
And if you do a range test at the field, don’t forget to put the transmitter back into the main flying screen. On the maiden of my 1.7m pa-18 I spaced out and it took off then augered in, bending the prop shaft. Odd because the controls were responsive before I throttled up, but being in the wrong screen is the only thing I can think of.
@@BrianPhillipsRChey thanks for your advice I thought 8 replied to you already I must have not sent it. I didn't read your message before I flew again. You said sort it out before I do take it up again. I did fly again without any issues, all I did was try clear the wires awy from the antennas as best I could, and I put a little clear tape on the antennas just to stop them moving around. Yaeh I would hate to loose my plane because of dodgy equipment, but there jack I can do about it atm. A quality radio is outside my budget as much as it pains me to say. I hope I didn't send this twice

He sure is, thanks! It's scary, he's almost taller than me, already!!!!
That is totally awesome! It's great to see you and your son flying together. I might have to get one of those.

Thanks, and very glad you enjoyed watching! This is an excellent heli, and the NON-GPS Heli Drone is too, so it makes being high on life easy ;)
Love the ease of flying this… great price with the camera..👍🏻..😎
I’m thinking about purchasing this helicopter. Your videos are fantastic and your place sure looks beautiful. You must be in a nice state!
We're in central Iowa, USA - thanks!

Fying with your boy is top shelf rc on the internet. Thx pilots. Andrew has skills. I see a 3d heli pilot in the family!!!
Thanks!

I love my F11S!!
Not gonna lie u sold this product to me … I was hating on it also now I’m thinking of getting one
I love to see father and son flying together. Your son looks a lot like camera crew.
Love your videos thank you sir 😊
Awesome bud! Could u show us a demo how u fly in 3D mode with the control sticks?
I wish they weren't so expensive so me and my friend could have one. apache is my favorite helicopter 🚁
Get the NON-GPS Heli Drone, it's way cheaper, and still very good!
I'm thirteen and my mom wont let me spend that much but still an awesome helicopter 😄
Awesome!! I want to subscribe to AndrewPhillipsRC! NICE GUYS!
Thanks Scott ;)
Very nice . Propietary batteries , not .

I was destracted
yes, and hope you were able to figure out the range test.
Is there anyway to atra5a bright cob led light tp the heli? The lights are rather dim especially u are flying over dark areas or with trees around
Does the radar turn with the blades or does it stay still. The real apache the radar doesn't move with the blades

Lot's of folks pay twice that for basically the same phone, every year.
If you're FPV'ing, you wouldn't be worried about your orientation.

Yep! I crash the 💩 outta drones for that very reason. lol...
I like my helis 😉
Haven't tried fpv, yet...
yeah, these heli's are easier to tell what direction you're flying. Much easier than drones with ambiguous lights to indicate front from rear.
Its realy awesome but 544.- bucks here in Switzerland is alot of Money for this tiniy toy 🙈
