I can never understand why he's called Blaster. Broadcast makes way more sense as a name because it's sound based and he's the Autobot equivalent to Soundwave.
Normally Megatron/Galvatron never shows any care for any of his minions, but soundwave has been so loyal to him that watching him die must have really got to him based on his reaction.
Soundwave is literally the only one in EVERY franchise that I know off, until today, been ever so loyal to Megatron. This doesn't include Galvatron because shits happened and one time there were a megatron and a galvatron fighting each other. Soundwaves opinion is unknown, but consider in that universe he did not get to see anything about Megatrons tranformation into Galvatron(since it simply haven't happened yet) soundwave is definitely loyal first to Megatron. Anyway, literally, even in Shattered Glass where every bot is reversed, decpticons are GOOD guys and the autobots are EVIL, Soundwave is still ever so loyal to Megatron, just that he become a more punch face mo tron like Ironhide. Soundwave is cool.
Which is why I said "one universe" I don't really even remember which one it is anymore. But basically there was a Galvatron that went back, and fought Megatron(aka his past self) So yeah.
Wow! Soundwave go out like a boss! One arm missing, and still he kept fighting until he exploded, even taking his opponent with him. One of the best decepticons.

I like that Steeljaw can talk in the Japanese version. It would have been funny if he talked in the American cartoon too, but only in Japanese as well.
It's the Japanese version of Headmasters. It ignores the 3 part "Rebirth" arc from the US series, and picks up right after "The Return of Optimus Prime".
Is this series even canon to the G1 series??? Optimus later dies again, Blaster and Soundwave died and later reincarnate, is this series suppose to piss off Transformers fans by doing the same stupid idea from Transformers the movie. Bring in new autobots and continue killing off the original earth team from the first two seasons?
well, technically Broadcast is his ORIGINAL name since Japan the one make his toys before getting adapt as transformers. US gave him a new name and japan stick with their original toy name.it's no b.s at all.
Seriously, do some research before saying stupid thing. This is the original. And FYI, Transformers came from Japan. Takara has a lot of influences on the Transformers franchise even in the US. Just like how they made Hasbro changed Jetfire's name and design in G1 cartoon.

Because back in the 80s those big stereos were called "Ghetto Blasters" by black people.
Because his alternate mode is an 80s ghetto blaster boom box.

Gotta wonder if this was were the ROCK got the People's Elbow. But then again......Blaster won the "war" against Sound Wave.

seriously. nobody wants a Japanese dub on the transformers.
