I was hoping to see a mention of trademarks. I knew Sound Blaster as an audio card upgrade to IBM PCs to give capability of playing music and audio clips. Sound Blaster Pro compatibility was practically a de facto standard for early MS-DOS gaming. I always wondered if Creative Labs, makers of the cards, had any trademark beef with Hasbro over it. Maybe the markets were just too different, toys and computer accessories? Or by the time the robot came to the US, there wasn't much of a market for add-in sound cards, since most PCs had passable audio chips integrated into their mainboards.
If the items being named are different enough, trademarks don't really apply. After all, there's HP computers existing side by side with HP steak sauce
Would have been neat if Creative & Hasbro worked together for a Soundblaster figure. An MP3-player Sound Blaster Soundblaster would be pretty cool if he’s modelled after one of Creative’s digital-to-analogue converters with the “cassettes” being based around the various sound cards.
Not that it's any improvement; they even widened the whole torso on the Netflix/Earthrise Soundwave, and the Tape Minions STILL get stuck. I can't even use Rumble & Ratbat in the compartment of my Soundblaster.
Your mention of the logo change on the latest version got me thinking. I have the 35th Anniversary version (WRC-S63) with the Decpticon logo. Had no idea they also brought him out in the Selects line! I thought I had all the Siege figures already! 🤦🏻♂️
How cool it would be to see the original Soundwave toy being able to transform not into his classic Mini cassette player, but his original cybertronic alt-mode as seen in the very first G1 transformers episode "More than meets the eye Part 1". To be honest Logos Prime largely overlap with Quintus Prime and Soundwave did get tentacles in recent depictions, so it seams that they simply wanted for him to be more then just evil Vector.
I always loved Soundblaster because of his paint job and double cassette case. Always my favorite transformer. Time to make him out of Lego, both him and Blaster/Twin Cast.😄👍
Since there are so many 'cassetticons', it would be cool if some version of Sounblaster deployed some of the lesser known cassettes (i.e. Slugfest, Overkill (both those two made 1 mini apperance in 'call of primitives' epidose of G1 cartoon), Squawktalk, Beastbox, Howlback, Garboil, Glit, Sundor, Flip Sides, Enemy etc
Soundwave was one of the few G1 toys that looked good in both his bot mode and his alt mode. As we all know one more or the other usually suffered, and it was almost always the bot mode.
I really, really, REALLY wish they had given Siege Soundwave the double chest drawer. Only being able to hold one is a pain.
Not that it's any improvement; they even widened the whole torso on the Netflix/Earthrise Soundwave, and the Tape Minions STILL get stuck. I can't even use Rumble & Ratbat in the compartment of my Soundblaster.
Technically they did, although it gets a bit too snug.
Your mention of the logo change on the latest version got me thinking. I have the 35th Anniversary version (WRC-S63) with the Decpticon logo. Had no idea they also brought him out in the Selects line! I thought I had all the Siege figures already! 🤦🏻♂️
I’m here I’m November and sound blaster appeared in cyberverse
Finaly one of my favorite Transformers of all time
soundwave and soundblaster are my 2 most fav transformers
It’s ironic that you upload this right after I get done watching the basics on warpath video again lol
Shame, no Singapore dub mention of “New Soundwave”
No doubt siege Soundblaster is a badass underworld don.
Awesome color scheme and the character on Netflix was great. More more more than meets the eye.
How cool it would be to see the original Soundwave toy being able to transform not into his classic Mini cassette player, but his original cybertronic alt-mode as seen in the very first G1 transformers episode "More than meets the eye Part 1". (And as an added bonus, I'd love to see the original version of Laserbeak as seen in that episode too.)
I have my own idea for how I'm going to depict Soundblaster in my Transformers fanfiction.
I ALXAYS WANTED A SOUNDBLASTER, SOUNDWAVE IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER, BUT I LIKE MORE S.B COLORS
Chris Mcfeely Dude this might be your coolest most informative videos👌🏾. I love Transformers and I see you do too 🙏🏾. Thank You for an Awesome Channel.
Another great run down...I never had the chance to get the original one. I did get the one from Fall of Cybertron and Titans Return.
Very cool video as always Chris and crew thanks very much as I kid I had Soundwave and besides him and starscream and prime were my favorites as part of the original '84 lineup, and heard about soundblaster. Thanks again sincerely Peter
This makes me think that we’re going to see more obscure characters have roles in upcoming Transformers media.
Now sound blaster is gonna be looking for those damn chaos emeralds
Another good Obscure Characters month!
I would like to see soundwave and soundblaster compete against one on one!!
Thanks for your reply!!👍
Holy shit
I picked up the galaxy force soundblaster from a garage sale yesterday for 5$!!
I couldn't for the life of me figure out who it was till now
Man... I got a damn nostalgia with that siege soundblaster toy... Cause of the hallows parts it's arms got cracked easily so me and my dumbass thoughts tried turning him into a corpse/injured soldier I had a scissor to damage one of his arm more to make it look he got blown up
Once again a great video and I am currently looking for this guy to add to my display.
One of my favorite bits of lore of the Transformers series is about giving the redeco toys the element of being clones of more famous characters of the continuity. Is there a Basics episode on Redeco/Clones?
I would love if you do the basics on powerglide! He’s my favorite character.
YES!! another coffe+McFeely coffe
What makes Soundblaster more amazing then Soundwave, BLACK PAINT!!!!!!!!
When I heard of him, I thought that he was some combination of Blaster and Soundwave. Dunno why I thought that...
Finally someone made this video
Soundblaster will always be Mafia Boss Soundwave to me.
I remember when I was kid, I made up a Transformer called Soundblaster and years later I found out that he already existed.
yes my favorite charactor for such a long time
Since there are so many 'cassetticons', it would be cool if some version of Sounblaster deployed some of the lesser known cassettes (i.e.
Soundwave looked great in both. He's a little boxy but still holds up pretty well even today.
I know this is a video about Soundblaster but I couldn't help myself.
A awesome basics on Soundblaster
Who loves it when they make repaints
