Soundwave was always my favorite. That voice, his cassettes, and his loyalty and faithfulness was always inspiring to me as a kid. Soundwave's name was the only one Megatron/Galvatron cried out when he was destroyed. Tells you something.

We saw during therapy that parts of Megatron are still in there. He built a gun, something he used to turn in to. Soundwave was his most loyal follower, so the fact he cared means that much more because thats a connection to his past self.
Megatron and Soundwave were besties throughout season 1,and Galverton is basically Megatron on steroids with anger issues. Galverton also showed compassion for Soundwave in that screwy episode Carnage in C minor.

Soundwave’s sort of final “scream” before he dies here has always stuck with me ever since I first saw this video. It’s honestly kind of haunting. 1:32
I kinda prefer the other redub for this part (I forgot which one it was). The scream was replaced with the line "Integrity...dropping..." which fits Soundwave better imo.
the video was official story in jp. Jp had power master and headmaster storyline. Takara don't want to pay license fee to old blue Soundwave in hasbro and created the black version in cartoon.
It's amazing what a redub with show-accurate vocals, musical score, and sound effects can do to elevate an otherwise 'me' continuation of the original show!

Stevie P83 NP man! I’ve seen a lot of others come close to the Soundwave voice but this I’d argue this is the closest we’ve gotten. What software did you use to recreate this? It sounds like something out of Reaper.

The most intersting moment in Headmasters finally has an english dub that sounds right. I love your soundwave voice so much dude! (No Omni production quality of shoating "Billy" here) It's interesting you chose to cut the cassette's dialog, but it actually ends up feeling more like the english half of g1 for it. Especially since all the flying lil buddies just squack/scree in the EN ver.
Actually, with modern technology, they could redo the dub for the entire cast. Make it indistinguishable from the original. As long as you have the original files and enough sound of it. With Welker and Cullen still alive they could do a lot already without having to reuse. But for Nimoy for example they'd have to use tech.

I assumed that Blaster ruptured Soundwave's Energon Cube generator and when it detonated, it blew up his laser core (spark chamber). That's my in universe explanation for his random explosive death, haha. It certainly shows how little dialogue there was in Headmasters, in comparison to the shows before it, so I appreciate all the added lines. Again, absolutely amazing work! =P
😂😂 I have the new zealand dub version originally before I got the Japanese sub titled version and it made me want to pull my hair out every time I heard them call blaster “billy”. Good thing they fix it after he was remade but called him blaster instead of twin cast. Anyways I still had them calling spike “sparkle”. I still hear it to this day.....
the voices sound great, but i can't help but miss the Headmasters soundtrack and the mecha anime sound effects - but personal preference aside, pretty good job!

This is a improvement on the clips of the other dubbed version of this cartoon, and I have the subtitled version of it, and this is the first time I’ve seen this cartoon dubbed instead of the subtitled one I own👍🏻👍🏻💯.
Even with only one arm, Soundwave still beat Blaster. Renaming him Soundblaster was a bit ridiculous though unless it was supposed to be a last dig at his rival by taking his name - a bit like how the Predacon Divebomb took that name from Swoop in the G1 (UK) comics.
It's certainly ten times better than that joke of a Hong Kong studio under the name of Omni Productions who did some bad dubbing for Transformers. Not to mention wrong names for them.

@@stephenparkes I did not get far with it tbh, i had wrote a script, but the editing kinda stopped, mostly because i dont have the needed sound library to pull from (i need to get the rest of Sound Idea's stuff tbh) i may give it another shot, taking inspiration from your ver.
Btw if you can, i'd love to know about your carrier tone that you used, grim's isnt as close as yours turned out tbh, i'd love it if i could get access to it.

This is a improvement on the clips of the other dubbed version of this cartoon, and I have the subtitled version of it, and this is the first time I’ve seen this cartoon dubbed instead of the subtitled one I own👍🏻👍🏻💯.

Renaming him Soundblaster was a bit ridiculous though unless it was supposed to be a last dig at his rival by taking his name - a bit like how the Predacon Divebomb took that name from Swoop in the G1 (UK) comics.

it s a redub of japanese broadcast of transformers, it never was released in the english version as somewhere in season 4 they chose a different line

It's certainly ten times better than that joke of a Hong Kong studio under the name of Omni Productions who did some bad dubbing for Transformers. Not to mention wrong names for them.

i like the soundwaves death scream but original japanse galvatron had alot more pain in his scream, also screaming "No" will always be little goofy.
Never saw this episode ever. I knew it was out there. Thank for putting it out there and dub it. Now makes me want to see the rest of the g1 that weren’t released in the states. Anyone know where I can get the rest of season 4 and so on
