A couple other tips that may seem obvious but I think they're worth mentioning: -The window can be placed on Payloads -Bap can do his primary and alt fire at the same time. So if you play with horizontal positioning, you can heal and damage at the same time. This is really helpful while playing behind a tank. Just shoot primary and alt fire at the same time. The nades will heal the tank while the primary fire will go through your teammate and hit the enemy down range -If you find yourself in a 1v1 with a roadhog and you know you're about to be hooked, throw the lamp towards Hog. So if he hooks you, you're within the lamps range. Because if he hooks you without the lamp up, you're just dead
The versatility of Baptiste’s Jump is amazing, one thing that got me into the habit of trying to jump mid fight and get better positions was treating crouching with bap as a means to be more accurate while charging the boost.
I was a one trick mercy until I really gotten int Baptist. I never knew I could get play of the game as a support until I played Baptist. I love him so much, I wanna learn how to play kiriko too but I struggle with her skill ceiling. I feel Baptist skill ceiling perfect for me
Kiriko's not bad. Try playing custom games on your PC, or AI vs. bots until you're comfortable. Sometimes, I set up custom games with no cool-down on the abilities, so I can practice them constantly.
If a genji is diving you you can ALWAYS focus him and help your team. Also if you are at 20 health use immort, you won’t always get all the shots to hit and in a ranked/scrim setting just staying alive with help even more than killing the genji.

This is an amazing guide! Extremely in depth and east to follow. Really useful to people of all ranks. The only notable thing that i think may have been missed would be to mention that shooting with a ratio of 1 heal to 1 damage burst doesnt slow down your heal rate of fire but allows you to put in a bit of damage while slowing your damage rate of fire and if you shoot with a rate of 1 heal shot to 2 damage bursts your damage fire rate stays the same while your healing is slightly slowed. Knowing when to use both of these without sacrificing your aim due to switching targets back and forth can be really useful to maximize your healing and damage potential!
Its all about being unpredictable, some people are used to crouch spamming some are more inclined to predict jumping. I say bap hopping is probably something you'll wanna mix into it.

To answer both of your questions, really focus on one character at a time. I typically just did this based on the meta I was playing at the time. It’s easier to figure this out when you are playing on a team. As for rn, Bap is definitely the one to focus on

Yes, those are examples. If you are struggling with when you should play baptiste, I’ve recently created videos that should help you with that as they are catered towards those questions.
whats problematic about lower elos is that sure, you should not be a healbot on support (except for maybe moira and mercy) but also the tanks on low elo take so much unnecessary damage and are used to being babysit by constant streams of healing 24/7. this leads to players compensating into more healbotting and when they dont, they face severe pressure in chat, throwing teammates, reports, calls to swap off zen or lucio despite the team having an ana that heals plenty and many more things. i think the heal in the game being so strong has lead to lower elo completely misunderstanding how the game is played. tanks are meatshielding and never use cover, dps dont know where the healthpacks are, its a fucking mess. i am playing diamond (what many consider low elo still) and whenever i play on lower elo accs with my friends i am completely baffled by how toxic the community is towards healers and how they will often take as much damage as possible and then flaming the heals bc they died.
It most definitely is a problem, but it’s very hard to address unless you are addressing yourself. It would require both devs and everyone else to get educated, but players in lower Elos likely don’t exactly care and are having fun if they are struggling with these mistakes.
@@PAZswagger i dont really see how lower elo people generally have more fun in the game. sure you could say they are taking the game less seriously, but as i meantioned the toxicity towards especially healers is insane there because ppl dont understand the healing role or dont play the game like a shooter at all. and theres just as much if not more flaming and blaming in those lower elos.
@@FirebladeXXL Yeah that's what I mean. They are playing to play and not necessarily improve and be extremely competitive. This will often times make them find a scapegoat so they have a reason to complain.
2 mins in im already confused. How does he do 24dmg to the body per bullet with no damage fall off but at 45 yards the damage falls off? Well which is it
7:30 another way you can use the regenerative burst is by using it to focus down damage, this can help you bridge the gap and do even more healing within the dmg u are doing wait, what? what does it mean? dmg heal?
A lot of this is the same Biggest change is his Regen burst that functions as a peel tool for you friend supports when pressured At least that is what I’ve seen thus far
"huge damage". Like maybe if you have aim bot tracking and god like recoil control and can actually land headshots with every shot in a burst, sure.. but beyond that I've found his damage severely lacking.
I've got to disagree with the regen burst section. Regen burst should almost always be exclusively a self-heal. It's healing is so minimal for allies and not even that great for yourself. 15 healing per second over 5 seconds for a total of 75 healing is not worth an ability that can help self-sustain you and is much better used solely for yourself when you've taken damage and are expecting to take more where you don't want to wait for or disrupt your other healer from healing. That 5 second cooldown heals basically the same as a single direct heal or between 1-2 heals from splash and those heals are instant once hit. Almost never will regen burst make a difference in living or dying for allies as even stray Moira orb can easily outdamage its healing output. If your ally is in range of regen burst, you'll almost certainly be in range to accurately hit them with your heals. I commonly use regen burst if I'm dueling a Pharah. Likely I was able to avoid directs and using my exo boots, I'm able to jump to avoid much of her damage while taking small bursts of damage and this will be able to keep my hp high enough to sustain or survive if she does end up landing direct. But she easily wins that fight with 3-4 rockets regardless of whether or not they're directs if I use my regen burst because a few teammates got hit with a tnt.
DAMAGE IS HEALING! He’s 100% right and I’ve started playing him and was having games with 10k healing and like 4k damage that I lost. When I do more dps our team team typically will do better. Instead of 4k/10k I’m more successful with something like 6k/8k. I just started using him regularly within the last week that’s why I’m on these videos.
thank you! :) im currently gold in support right now and im really trying to get better with baptiste 🤎 do you have any tips on when to throw the lamp? Like if it says critical do I automatically throw it or should I wait till they’re 1hp?
You really have to gauge their threat level. They could be critical but in no danger. In that situation you can just heal them. In terms of when to throw it, you have to throw it a bit sooner rather than later considering there is a slight projectile time.
@@PAZswagger wow! I'm surprised you responded to a comment on a video that's like over a year old. Dude. I'm totally subscribing now. Super impressed. One question: you mentioned an aim simulator to help with improving aim. Where can we find what you showed in the video?

I’d like to point out that his most op tech is spamming “behind you aaaahhhhh”
“BEHI BEHI BEHIN BEHIND BE BEHIND YOU AHHHHH!”
A couple other tips that may seem obvious but I think they're worth mentioning:
-The window can be placed on Payloads
-Bap can do his primary and alt fire at the same time. So if you play with horizontal positioning, you can heal and damage at the same time. This is really helpful while playing behind a tank. Just shoot primary and alt fire at the same time. The nades will heal the tank while the primary fire will go through your teammate and hit the enemy down range
-If you find yourself in a 1v1 with a roadhog and you know you're about to be hooked, throw the lamp towards Hog. So if he hooks you, you're within the lamps range. Because if he hooks you without the lamp up, you're just dead
Yes. Healing and shooting at the same time is one of my regular combos. Helps a lot.

people look at 15:35 and pause lol
"huge damage". Like maybe if you have aim bot tracking and god like recoil control and can actually land headshots with every shot in a burst, sure.. but beyond that I've found his damage severely lacking.
VAXTA VAXTA VAXTA
But she easily wins that fight with 3-4 rockets regardless of whether or not they're directs if I use my regen burst because a few teammates got hit with a tnt.
lmao don't tell me right angle trigonometry has anything to do with overwatch please haha
It's nothing crazy but it has its uses, especially after the hitscan changes.

You are really proud of losing aren’t you?
You lost me 30 seconds in when you said "Huge Damage". Apparently, we aren't playing the same game.
Lol aimbot
Me? My aim is pretty mid
Going to start using him as well

@@PAZswagger most people would've just said "I covered this in the video".
I appreciate and respect your merciful response.
@@jonathanellis5811 Anything to help people out! After all it IS a 20 minute long video... There is a lot to cover!
@@PAZswagger wow! I'm surprised you responded to a comment on a video that's like over a year old. Dude. I'm totally subscribing now. Super impressed.
One question: you mentioned an aim simulator to help with improving aim. Where can we find what you showed in the video?
@@jonathanellis5811 If it isn't code (VAXTA) in Overwatch, it may have been KovaaK's FPS aim trainer. It is on steam and I recommend that if you are looking for a 3rd party trainer. If not, I am pretty sure I responded to your other comment earlier that explains how to use the VAXTA code.
