Could you do one about the French Expats in Las Terrenas, there's Michel Vélaux ( he is an icon there and the wife Monique onws about 10 dogs) who used to own brasserie Européenne by the water.Also the restaurant Vela Blanca is own by Thierry a French guy? I heard they even have their school, called a lycée?

DR has had a big Italian influence since it’s discovery by Christopher Columbus in 1492. There are Italians all over the island leaving their footprint everywhere . You can appreciate this in Sto Dmg.; the Metro subway that was designed by an Italian, the national palace , the Basilica in higuey, the theater of Bella’s artes and the monument in honor of Christopher Columbus, these are just to name a few. From the beginning of DR , the Italians have played a major role in this country culture and history!
