Are You Controlling or Dominant?

Another home run. This advice is 100% gold, and your way of explaining it is also gold. So my best friend, has always had a couple platonic girl friends (not hot, purely just friends). He now has a girlfriend that doesn't like it, and when she tried to interfere, he put a stop to it right away and told her these are friends and he isn't going to abandon them simply because he's in a relationship. It's his way or the highway (my advice I gave to him). She back peddled from trying to be controlling, to being apologetic and accepting it. However, what are your thoughts about this on a moral level? SHOULD the MAN keep his close, platonic female friends very close, even if the girlfriend doesn't like it?

Platonic as in they like each other or platonic as in she's 2 inches away from being a dude friend?

I'm married and I had a female friend (also married, not hot but use to be) and it was fine, but could get dangerous as well. So I'd advise against it...
