The automatic sight adjustment when you switch ammo types is not a feature of the real tank. It's a convenience mechanic built into GHPC to simulate a trained crew indexing for the new ammo on their own. The player is not meant to have to learn the range scales to use the tank - you can simply read the range number listed in the HUD and trust that the sight is adjusted properly. This works even in the in-game PT-76, which has an outdated gunsight not suitable for the ammunition it carries, and whose crew in real life would have needed to memorize conversion tables in order to use the range scales properly.
Sounds like an option for hardcore mode :) Could have the conversion table on a seperate keybind and it just brings up a graphic of a hand writte note or something with coffee stains on it haha
The coaxial MG on all T-54/55 models are the tank variant of Gorjunov SGM, in Russian it's often shortened to "ГТ/GT" for "Горюнова Танковый/Gorjunova Tankovyj". The PKT was first introduced with the T-62.
@@WillfulTangent also will you do IFV guides as well like the BMP1 and 2 ( when you can use it outside of the obsence odyssey mini-campaign) and M2 beardly
Not that I’ve messed with personally. It can be a bit much when you compare it to other games but I kinda like the immersion factor of that brief moment of panic as you wait to see if you get hit with return fire.
I tried it and the damn thing has no reverse speed, matched with no rangefinder. I got into a good position and found myself trying to reverse only to be moving at a snails pace and I got smoked.

Is there an option to lower/remove the smoke effect from the fired round? I know it's realistic but visually its annoying to me.

This comment seems…scammy but I can put a definite finger on it.
