Heck to the flipin, yes, the truck builds the whole internet wants, but I just don't know.
Yessir! We back!
All the tire smoke going through that radiator is gonna look SICK
I didn’t even think about that 👀👀
@@_Gingium_I just wanna say Ty for all the amazing content. I’ve been here since the forza days ✊😤👍
Ya till after so long it gets cloged up
@@taylorracingco it’s not a burnout car so I assume it’s not going to an issue for a while
@@taylorracingco if he doesn’t make a shroud I’d be more worried about it getting smacked by rocks or sucking random shit up from the track
Welding it all the way out definitely helps with pressure, and you should foam all the way around. Taylor Ray has experienced noticeable improvements with a perfectly sealed shroud
Are you going to put any sort of ducting/shroud on the other side of the radiator? I would be afraid of it getting damaged by road debris (rocks, dirt, etc). Otherwise it looks great, I'm interested to see how it looks when the bed is finished.
Placement is good, but I'd recommend a metal bug net to protect the radiator fins.
He mentioned ducting towards the end of the video
THIS!!!! needs to have some ducting otherwise it will be covered with rubber.
hot rubber chunks splattering radiator ,fins , ducting, mesh, etc...fun
The back of this truck looks so dope!! Can't wait to see even more content of the drift truck v2 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
Caleb you should put some foam between the radiator and the shroud to help with possible rattling and to have a better seal between the two
Err... 16:51 to 16:52
@@stevehignett5701 well I'm an idiot lmfao
Hell ya, the day I pick up a 8.8 for my drift truck we get a drift truck video. Motivation👍
And it's BACK !!
So glad to see a new episode of the build. Keep up the good work, I enjoy it so much !
"Make it go bwaaaaaa" then the transition to welding got me lmao, that was good 😂
For mounting fuel cell please just use metal straps with rubber insulation in between. It's the best way to mount the tank no bracket that can be ripped and puncture the tank.
Your shop is legit man. Having that cnc machine would be amazing for stuff like this! Love the drift truck I can’t wait to see more of this rig!
Always excited to see your videos.
Much love from Nigeria ❤
All the way from Nigeria is crazy. Thanks for the support ❤️
Pleasure is all mine bro
I understand wanting to take a break that being said i'm stoked it's back!
LETS GO!!! I’m so glad we got metal for the drift truck!
I dont think you should apologize for not working on it, i like when you shift your focus between projects. You dont owe us anything, im just happy to be watching and we, the viewers are not demanding anything.
Thanks!
I’m so glad you have good taste in music. I dig it. 17:11
Weekend made by one video!!
Haha love to see it ❤️
It makes my day whenever you post bro.. your content is awesome
Man i could watch that plasma cutter all day, so satisfying
I can't wait to see Gingium drifting again. I really hope Gingium and Taylor Ray get to meet at a drift event that would be an awesome collaboration. I saw this video, and it made my week. Awesome content like every Gingium video.
The rubber bushings need to be sleeved so the the bolts tighten up onto that sleeve giving a set amount of tolerable movement, not squashing the rubber. It also means no threads are on the rubber, just a flat surface which won't cut over time. It's a common type of method used in motorcycling .
Dope, glad to see this truck back
One of my favorite builds on UA-cam 👌
Dude no need to apologize or justify why this car hasn't been on the channel in a while. You work on what you want at the exact time you want to, if you feel a bit burnt out from the work on this project, then taking a longer break from it is only the right thing to do💪💪💪
Feeling like a nap, so I open UA-cam for some sedative music. What’s this? New Gingium? Drift truck video!? Let’s goooo!!
Good to see this build back bro!
LETSSS GOOOO I LOVE THIS BUILD 🔥🔥🔥
A well deserved break! This car feels like a completely new build, so I can see how it can burn someone out. Passion builds are always better than a "chore" build
This is definitely a passion build, but it still gets tedious and repetitive! Happy to be back working on it though
Oh my god you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this😊❤
I just saw the Miata 4x4 on marketplace by you 😭 god that was a time I'll never forget watching!!!
Feels like I only watched a drift truck video the other week, but I watched it on the day it was posted! Time flies mate, don’t apologise
I love that the drift truck is back, but more Honda Fit content please! Maybe a trackcross or autocross?
Comming soon. Heard him say the old turbo off Molly is for the Fit!
You are so talented, i love your content, best automotive UA-camr in my opinion ❤
5:00 feels like you didn't mean it like that🤣
New radiator looks SICK, probably would be a good idea to seal it around with foam and maybe do a dividing plate between the 2 fans, you can see something like that on Taylor Ray's Corvette, that way if one fan fails the other one isn't pulling air through the dead fan instead of the radiator
I really like your work. Just awesome.
Such a cool build love follow along with it💪🏻
I love the build. I also love your hardware holding style.
I love the shroud but I feel like you could have saved yourself a good bit of work by having it cut out the whole shroud as one piece and then just bending the sheet aluminum. You don't even have to use plate since the bends add stiffness.
Still, amazing work. It's always easier to see the easier way to do it after it's done.
I think he just likes having excuses to TIG weld everything
@phantomflame0658 yes I'd say so. My welding is average as anything, so I try to make parts out of the least amount of pieces as I can!
I’d add a divider in the shroud to ensure how air flows thru the radiator and out of the fan. I’d also build a belly pan that protects the underside of the radiator but still allows air to be pulled thru radiator. A 2.5 inch gap is probably sufficient to maintain cfm. I’d leave the pan / diffuser open to encourage debris to pass thru and not hit radiator if something happens to pass thru the air flow gap
Yes, always a better day when another episode drops
Can’t wait to see this thing finished this build is what made me subscribe
Finalmente, he esperado tantooo
Finally a new drifttruck vid😍
She back babyyyyyy
Happy that you find the drift truck mojo back, I just love your work on that 'thing'.
HELL YEAH I drift truck video. Thank you lord ginguim
Drift truck video LETS GOOOOO
The delica looks sick
We were waiting 😩
5:04 not gingium hiding his laugh lol lol
Yooo this looks so cool
Someone give this man a Mill 😤
love the build mr caleb
Thank you mr amitavm8099
A small hint... make vent lines on top of the radiotor (where the Cap was) and Tilt it a bit that the air comes to the venting point... nothing is worse than boiling water in the cooling system... propably no oil... but still...😋
Weekly reminder to like the video
god DAMN youtube, im not getting notifications! I WANT THIS! THIS IS MY JAM!
Can’t wait for the video of him putting it behind the rear window after the rad catches 2 rock punctures and one tire blow out, calling it now lmao.
nice :3
Will probably want nyloc nuts for the mount bolts.
Definitely want to see this thing drifting again!
Let’s go
7:00 respect ,no Vapes
Hey Caleb you should put some sort of mesh grille on the bottom so debris don't puncture it. Also the tire smoke is gonna be hilarious shooting up like that lmao I love it!
might be a good idea to put some stainless sercuirty fly screen over the underside to protect the rad from rocks and road debris. Awesome work, needed the motivation
You should put Air jacks in it, like in race cars, there's no need or anything, it would just be cool to switch out the tires fast
This tubing is gonna have to be crazy lmao
I gotta say, that suspension look so sexy
Fabium making it look TOO EASY
Finally😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
finally!
I know 😭
Yeeeees finalllllllyyyy
Yassssss
DIOS TE BENDIGA SIEMPRE
i would use aluminium pipes from the back to front under the car. 1. its gonna look sick 2 40mm pipes running from the front to the back and 2. its gonna also improve cooling cuz in the time the water runs from the front in the back it can start to cool down in the alu pipes. and 3. less rubber hoses, less chance for leaks
Gingium
Aye, I'd love to see u twin charge that engine
I have a weird thought if you ever want to change the look of the truck you could put a camper top on it and a scoop on the camper top going down to the radiator. Either a big scoop up top or ones coming from the window area. That would solve cooling issues. But if you thought that look would be cool, I think you can get away with a camper top on the drift truck.
🎉🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🎉
im emotionally attached to this drift truck. dont ask why. but i love it
FDD PREP!!!!!
One thing you can do for the SC is do a innerchiller where ac will cool the water for the supercharger IAT max 40F
Well it took some time and the dust accumulated by the truck says it all but the drift truck is back.
Finally found u g took too long to remember your name
The only issue i can think of for that radiator is that is debris can hit and being so close to the tires, burnt rubber can accumulate on it and it wouldn’t work. Overall can’t wait to see the V2 of the drift truck up and running
I’m pretty sure it’s Superfast matt that says that due to his ADHD he’s a procrastinator, so he just procrastinates by working on a different project.
That way instead of doing nothing, he gets lots done while constantly procrastinating.
Trust the process.
All Hail the algorithm.
No apologies necessary Caleb. Project *car* is one thing, but project *carsssss* is understandably going to be jumping around. One man operation (with occassional/frequent friend assistance too) gonna be like that.
Love all your builds. Eating the entire cow one bite at a time... or in this case.... A bite here, a bite there and occasioanally 10 bites on the Volvo because fucking A that whip is amazing. Hahaha.
Caleb, are you and Billy Strings related? I can't help but notice the uncanny resemblance.
Lol I see the resemblance but no
Will you make some slots in shroud with rubber flops for flow through?
Pregunta seria , pero desde la ignorancia al ir detrás del diferencial , ¿no le llegara mucho humo y goma de los neumáticos al driftear?
Looks sick but that radiator is gonna get plugged up with rubber fast
Thank god for pressure washers
Not just plugged up, may even be broken. We've seen some cases in DMEC when rubber pieces cut through metal, wires, windows with ease.
I wanna see molly in person compared to my ratty turbo Miata and I'm local 😂😂😂
I'm no drift car builder, but I would've put the radiator between the diagonal rollcage bars, instead of in the ground behind the axles. Sure hope it doesn't get clogged with tire debris
Yeah that was an option, but a) I wanted full use of the bed and that would block stuff, b) I wanted the weight of the radiator as low and far back as possible
Is a washer not needed at the rubber bushing? Seems like the bushing is possible to pop out.
No the bolts and nuts I use are flanged
@@_Gingium_ Ah yeah i see now. The truck is already looking amazing.
What did you use for the auxiliary hot water pump or did you run it from the cooler side?
So dope! Completely talking out of my ass here but would you maybe want to add a mesh cage or something on the underside of the exchanger to prevent damage to the fins from rocks n stuff?
Caleb you should just be able to get an engineering degree with your experience. You are insanely talented and smart.
can someone please tell me how to get those kinds of bushings for the bolts. i need them bad on my build
Yo gingium, on ur rear suspension i see ur tophats are hard mounted and ur running a cantilever. Do you think the top hat will be under too much stress being hard mounted to the frame brace? The cantilever does have a little up and down movement do you think fabing the tophat to some kind of joint would be better?
😃👍100%
😎👍🏼🔥💯🍺
Curious why you didn't bend the corners of the shroud instead of welding?
Is it just me that thinks the mounting rubbers won't last 5 minutes?
That's why they have top-hat looking things that go inside them in most instances, to protect from the bolt?
