The first time I heard this song I was in Winn-Dixie shopping . A young girl came in the store and had a T-shirt with a young man on it that said RIP. He was probably about 17. I could tell from his picture that the world had REALLY lost someone when this kid passed away. I’ve seen a million RIP shirts so I’m not certain why this one stuck with me all these years . No words were exchanged between the young lady and myself, but now every time I hear this song I think about that young man and I can still see his picture on that t shirt clear as day and I have no idea who he even is but my heart breaks. The first time I heard this song I was in Winn-Dixie shopping . A young girl came in the store and had a T-shirt with a young man on it that said RIP. He was probably about 17. I could tell from his picture that the world had REALLY lost someone when this kid passed away. I’ve seen a million RIP shirts so I’m not certain why this one stuck with me all these years . No words were exchanged between the young lady and myself, but now every time I hear this song I think about that young man and I can still see his picture on that t shirt clear as day and I have no idea who he even is but my heart breaks. I can’t help but wonder how he ended up on that shirt. It’s so strange how music attaches itself to memories. Rip young man.
