Here is an orchestration of the well known Final Hours theme which appeared in Zelda: Majora's Mask. I decided to give this orchestration a dramatic emotional feel to reflect the sombre mood of the original track. Enjoy!

I cannot believe the amazing support you guys are giving me. I am so sorry I can't keep up with all the responses, please know that I appreciate you all very much and thank you!! :)
ClefferNotes you are amazing! The world is such a place of sadness and Torture sometimes, music gives up hope to go on and makes us happy.
As a musician you already do way more for us humans then you can imagine, music is a wonderful thing, I and many others will always support the beauty you're creating, thank you
ClefferNotes, I'm amazed at your work... I'm just blown away... Literally! I had my speakers to full blast listening to this, and the sound waves pushed me back... But just wanted to let you know that you are awesome and very talented, can't wait for you to make more awesome music!!! Have a good day!
ClefferNotes you are a god among men
You are incredibly talented :) Looking forward to hearing original work from you as well!
NeoRetro you’re being over dramatic
This is what i want playing in my final hours.
When my dad passed a couple weeks ago at the age of 65 in the hospital all I could do was think of this song. Strong and almost heart breaking at the end when he opened his eyes 2 times before leaving us. Sad it may be, but hes the one in a better place completely healed and having the best retirement anyone could ever wish for.
@@timothywurz7111 Sorry for your loss. We all have had to experience it before. I wish you and your family well
Cut to you at 97 and this starts playing out of nowhere
@@timothywurz7111 even though we have ones that we lose. We must move on and remember them in spirit.
Wow... dark... Kinda like Majora's Mask.
Simply breathtaking
And then you proceeded to use it in your bootes void video HA FIRST REPLY
hi former gd person
Wow its amazing seeing you here, great content from everyone
From the first note I fell in love
Chloe Rose oh, wow you're right
Fell in love with who?
Skull kid
I'm playing the game right now and I fell in love with it.
@@r-bean be careful with spoilers.
@@MonoEstitico All I know is that Link is in it.
There aren't many renditions of Majora's Mask's soundtrack that match the skill of Theophany or Rozen, but this is definitely up there with them. Great work!
DragonRand100 I bought theophany's album because I fell in love with it and now I listen to it to help me sleep
This track is beautiful, really.
*cough*dj jo*cough*
Theophany is a master of atmospheric music.
Check out The Noble Demon, the renditions there are close to perfect and eargasmic! However I do love Theophany and Rozen!
The original instilled great dread, whereas this version is very somber. It is amazing how the mood can change like that! Well done!
Indeed. This version is great but in terms of mood, i prefer the original since it conveys the mood of hopelesness better.
And now try the metal version...
This would be PERFECT for a Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask movie!
You're right! Nintendo needs to make a Majora's Mask movie!
They needs a good movie for Majora's mask And Link's Awakening. (they are the only ones with a plotline that can be turned into decent movies).
I think they would have to make an Ocarina of Time movie before Majora's Mask because Majora's Mask is a sequel
@Brandon Shepherd How about a TV show? The first episode could be like the beginning of the manga, where he travels the land as an expert swordsman, and the episode would end with him turning into the Deku scrub. The second episode would be the first three days. Next would probably be exploring Termina and meeting the people. Then four episodes for each dungeon. After that, there could be an episode where he goes around as fast as possible to help everyone and save the different areas of the game, ending with the four giants catching the moon. The final episode would be everything inside of the moon. How cool would all of that be?
I'm a huge film/TV nerd and have put way too much thought into this...
*By four episodes for each dungeon I mean four combined, not 16 total.
This, instead of portraying the horrific terror of impending death, seems to portray the pain. The sorrowful, hopeless realization of death. And the shattering, fragile peace that comes with it. Instead of thinking of someone quivering and crying in fear alone on the floor begging God for mercy and forgiveness, this makes me think of someone holding on tight to their family and friends, waiting with a resigned hollowness for death to come.
The peace that comes with death is not fragile. It is the strongest peace on earth. It is the only true peace...
Theophany x ClefferNotes
MAKE IT HAPPEN. I WILL DIE.
Yes!
Theophany x Rozen x ClefferNotes x The Second Narrator x Sully Orchestration x Cloudjumper
this song is one of the best composed pieces from Zelda imo. It perfectly captures the helplessness of the situation, but also the urgency. Everything you've done up until this point for the people of Termina led to this. The final moments of this world is in your hands. It's perfect.
Thank you all so much for the amazing support as usual! :)
ClefferNotes Anything to keep talent like this going. One day soon, you will no doubt become a well known musician on youtube, and hopefully even bigger after that.
never thought I'd see you here Tinlge X)
This is beautiful. It is epic and sad at the same time. It represents fighting the inevitable death, as symbolizing hopelessness and sadness. This song truly represents the final hours of Termina.
Holy shit, this is amazing stuff! It totally evokes feelings of helplessness and despair; the colossal size of the moon; and the imminent destruction of all life. I got the chills at the climax at 2:40 when the French horns blare through the percussive synth hits, the mid-string ostinatos, and the lush high string long notes.
I think you've totally outdone yourself with this! It is absolutely "epic."
Who here thinks that ClefferNotes and Theophany should do a project together? Only me? ok...
GeometryDash Verpler This comment only makes sense when you say: "Only me?". Like this, it looks as if you were surprised by yourself. And then, as if you're not surprised anymore at the "ok...". Whatever.
GeometryDash Verpler That'd be amazing, honestly. I love the music of both Theophany and Cleffer.
There's no reason to jump to conclusions that quickly. I think this would be a great idea!
GeometryDash Verpler Three way Project with Cleffer, Theophany, and Synthetic Orchestra.
Noa Hoffmann shut the fuck up
Sometimes we need to listen to sad, emotional music. I have searched all over UA-cam and found this remastered masterpiece. This song is absolutely spellbinding and touches me very deeply. Just wonderful. Thank you for sharing this incredible musical work on the Zelda universe with us.
I love it. It's like a final charge as Link rushes to the top of the tower. So epic. It was just one bell gong away from me saying, *"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!"*
To this year of 2024 we still crying over this beautiful, magnificent, very moving piece!

Watching this in 2019 and this still hits me with the feels 😢
Watching it in 2020: oh so this is what december 31 is gonna be like
Just replaying this game again... I love it so much
Well I'm speechless. Suffice to say, that was amazing. A very Hans Zimmer sort of Inception kind of feel, IMO. Now to listen to others...
who else gave the video a like before even listening bc they knew it would be good? amazing arrangement cleffer!!
We did!
I'm someone who is very picky with which video I like. I almost treat the "like" button as a "favorite" button. That being said, I both liked and favorited this video, absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking, 10/10.
you never disappoint me. 10/10 amazing arrangement!!
This is my new favorite arrangement of this song! Completely epic!
Same here. I felt the titanic weight on Link's shoulders and Skull Kid being completely consumed by Majora's Mask listening to this.
I am really loving the new dark logo and simple set up! It's so grown up, and I absolutely love this arrangment!!!!
This hit me so hard. Final hours always gave me some chills, but this arrangement made every hair on my body stand up, my heart ached from that first note. My god. I didn't think Final Hours could get any better, yet you've done it. I am wildly impressed. Thank you for making me remember such fond memories of Majora's Mask.
Now, if you'll excuse me. I'm gonna go cry now.
Haven't even listened to the song yet and it's already AWESOME
Thanks so much! :)
Music from Special Strike Rebellion
I fricken love Majora's Mask!
It's truly The Godfather Part 2 of the video game world. Ocarina of Time is The Godfather of the video game world.
Gamedraco I couldn't agree more
ME TOO! Everything about it is so good. The firs ttime you die by the moon makes the game feel challenging and lets you know that it ain't childs play no more.
Same! I will always remember it because it was my very first Zelda game! (And because of Ben drowned)
Can we just appreciate the beautiful part at 2:39. That part is so well done
Doctor: You have four and a half minutes to live.
Me: Perfect.
XD
This has to be the best arrangement of a preexisting song i've ever heard. Really good job i'll be spreading this as much as possble, you need more viewers.
Thank you so much! :)
I was alone in my house and I really tried to know what would I do if the world was ending in one hour. This music made me sad and this is proof how music can create emotion with people. I truly sensed dread while hearing this. this is amazing.
I'm not lying when I say that this has definitely OST quality, if not better. Whenever they decide to make an HD version of that game, I'd apply as a componist if I was you. ^^
But to get serious again. This is not just music, but rather art. The created athmosphere is perfect, to mention the silent part at the end, which gave me goosebumps even more than a lot of the other arranges out there.
In conclusion, amazing wouldn't suit this piece, but perfection should do it. Keep it up!
2:38 the claps (?) alongside the horns really remind me of a countdown . but with these haunting chords, it’s to say, “say goodbye to everyone you love, it’s the end” . masterpiece of a remaster imo
This is just... perfection.
Wow! great work! you're a real genius! if there was a zelda's movie, I wish this song will be include in the soundtrack!
I love coming back to listen to this masterpiece every now and then. Such a perfectly emotional song for the end of the kafei quest too.
Whenever I come back to your channel, I cannot help but listen to this song.
Majora's Mask has always been one of my favorite titles in the series, because of it's story, atmosphere and music.
I feel like this song, and your orchestration of this song, sums up the feeling of the game.
Still hoping for a full HD, fully orchestrated remaster or retelling of the story.
If Nintendo never remake Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask it would be a crime
Congratulations! You've made someone cry of emotion!!! I've been listening to your amazing work. And I think this is one of the best arrangements you've done.
Please keep up with this excellent music you're creating and receive a huge hug from Mexico City!
Hey, thanks so much that means a lot! huge hugs back to you too! :)
Wow it brought tears to my eyes hearing this 😢
So beautiful ❤
Sounds epic!
This makes me feel as if the whole world is standing still, this song captures the final hours so beautifully... It feels so epic, yet so hopeless all at once. The moon is crashing down.
**adds to list of songs to play at my funeral**
2:38 - I love this music piece. It sounds more uplifting and heroic. At this moment I imagine tge scene where giants are stopping the moon and Link is triumphant.
wow, i'm speechless, i can't even put to words how breathtakingly good this is.
you did an amazing job cleffer, and i am looking forward to your next work.
Who are these people that dislike a piece of art and history like this? Horror kid? The shiekah? Tingles?
Its so beautiful. Its also really sad and epic. I love it and i think it's the best remix from final hour.
This is the most beautiful arrangement I have ever heard. I love the climax at 2:40. This makes me cry. ClefferNotes, you are the greatest at composing these. Keep up the great work. Thank you for all that you have done
Spooky..... Noice 👌👍 loving it Chris as usual
I got chills throughout this entire piece. effin beautiful
This is top notch dude. Professional stuff. Do you have a career in this type of stuff or anything related? Assuming you're as old as I think you are haha.
Thanks so much! I have only recently decided to make music as a main career :) My looks are deceiving, a lot of people think I am younger than I actually am haha!

@@ClefferNotesWith your skill level, I'm sure you'll be a big success in the musical community!
@@ClefferNotes That's not always a bad thing
People think I am a grown adult whilst I can't even buy alcool (I don't like it anyway)
2:39 OMG
This is one of the best Last Hours remix that I've ever heard, just, thanks for this...
My ears are being beautifully assaulted by this wonderful piece.
Such composition, such atmosphere! Words will never describe how wonderful this is.
We're all glad you're back. Honest. Can't wait for more!
This song still gives me goosebumps to this day.
Popping this on before the new year drops. Into 2019 with a new day, and new memories.
This may sound dumb, but final hours has always been a favorite song of mine as well as LoZ MM and this rendition is absolutely beautiful. My father passed away two weeks ago, and this perticular rendition of Final Hours popped into my head and I've been listening every single day since then so.. I just want to thank you for helping me with my coping process. Music and video games is a beautiful thing as is this arrangement so.. Thank you. From the bottom of my aching heart. Thank you.
Hey ClefferNotes! I've got a critique for you. First though, the arrangement is incredible, as usual. But I know you've been going through this rebranding of your channel, and I have to say that I am really missing seeing the song played out in the logic project. It made your videos really interesting to WATCH, and not just listen. I hope you will bring those back!
If Majora's mask ever gets a Series this should be played.
2:40 hoooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOlyyyyyyyyyyyy
Sounds really good, because nearly at the end it seems that Link is standing up,ready to meet his terrible fate
Same applies to Skull Kid too, only being totally consumed by Majora's Mask.
Could you throw some bells in there? Great stuff!
This is beautiful. I have never played Majora's Mask, but I am aware of the ticking clock that is the moon. I listened to the original, and while it was amazing, your version blew it away. Phenomenal stuff.
So excited to listen to this over and over. I wish we could experience a maestro interpret this and. Ring it to life with a live performance. Bravo!
chills everywhere man! nostalgia! my most favorite game ever played. never heared the real version of the song. thankyou for reliving the best days of my childhood!
This sounds like something that would in a 10/10 movie or a really dramatic trailer. Really great stuff here. Keep up the great work 👍
I never cry listening to a song... except for this one.
The music turned amazingly heroic at the end without losing the atmosphere of the music despite the contrast to the strong feeling of desperation that the soundtrack inflicts.
I bonded with the mail man the most. When he got the go ahead to evacuate, i was happy for him, still knowing what fate was in store for them all.
And even then, he chooses to stay, because he believes his duty as a postman outweighs his own mortality.
Beautiful.Simply wonderful.
O M G.
this is the best song you have created so far I want to cry
At first, I was like, "Okay."
And then I was like, "OKAY." ❤
This is one of the absolute best and most powerful remixes I have ever heard of this track. I had hope and hopelessness, optimism and despair, and Armageddon and the acceptance of it listening to this. I would love to use this track in one of my videos too, and will give you full credit for it.
Hey thank you so much! you are more than welcome to use it in a video :)
I almost never hear such a powerful remix of this creepy and despairing theme like yours. It symbolizes powerfully both Link being the last hope for Termina, and Skull Kid being completely consumed by Majora's Mask.
Absolutely breathtaking
This is so beautiful & truly captures the dire intensity of this moment in MM. I'm truly awestruck. Thank you!
This song/arrangement is amazing. I can't stop playing it.
I got chills from listening to this. The absolute ambience and sudden time towering over you. All you know is your actions could be the last thing you'll ever do and if those actions aren't put to stopping the crash, you truly made a fate terrible for everyone on Termina
Still captures that feeling of despair during those final moments. Yet it captures it in a whole new way from the original.
God… as it gets louder and more desperate I just imagine the looks of an asteroid falling towards earth like Chicxulub did for the dinosaurs.
Saving Termina was a more monumental task for the Hero of Time than saving Hyrule, he was but a child then entire time fighting an evil more foul than Ganon while helping countless souls. I do love Majora's Mask.
i'm crying oh my god this is so beautiful
You nailed the B Section of this piece. Thank you for that. You really understand it and most people who remix this tune don't. You have motivated me to get into my music again.
Thanks so much! Glad to have helped in some way :)
damn, this arrangement is killer
knocked this one out of the park imo.
so dynamic and moving.
Really appreciate the solo piano and subtle ambient pad you had going for the intro and outro. viiibes
A great song for New Year's Eve honestly i play final hours every new year's eve and i think to myself damn I survived another year, whats next.
I goosebumps all over, and tears are pouring. Fantastic arrangement!
This song will be a great track to write to. Sort of that track I need desperately when I'm writing an "eleventh hour" scene and the characters are left in a desperate position where all hope seems lost.
Oooohhh yeah....
It's so emotional! It takes me back to those terrifying final hours...I put it off to the last minute as everything shakes around me as I repeat the cycle again, hoping that next time will be the last.
Even now anything with final hours just brings me to a state of multiple emotions sadness, excitement, despair and more, and now excited for the future. Because this great game may be in the past but we will still be having new experiences, albeit not very frequent but excited hoping that every new mainline Zelda is really good, although that probably won’t be the case, one can still hope can’t they
12:00 on the 3rd night, fireworks go off the clock tower opens then the most beautifully sad song in the game plays.
So beautiful. I love the flow and the way everything was timed. It's almost like the lead into a really good movie haha ❤
I forgot about this channel and I come back to this? My god I regret not looking this channel up all the time this is a masterpiece of a remake. Hats off for you man, this is truly incredible!
This must reach Theophany! Absolutely amazing track evoking wonderful emotions! you guys together could create something only dreamed of
Man when the french horns kick in… breathtaking. It pumps the song to a whole different level of epic, sad, tragic, terrifiying, hopeless, depressing but in the end altogether beautiful. Very well done!
Knowing what is happening when this song plays in-game and all those feelings wrapped up together hits like a punch to the gut.
This is such a beautiful arrangement for such an emotional piece of music. So many different feelings and stories perfectly layered throughout.
I almost shed a tear.
oh if there was only some deeper/longer rumbling & tremors.. Fantastic & moving piece none the less. such memories..
Absolutly amazing work speechless....
This.. is just beautiful!
Looking for music to feature in a Zelda themed newspaper and stumbled upon this gem. Absolutely love it!
Best rendition I've heard yet of this piece.
I love it! Until Breath of the Wild came along this was my favourite Zelda game and this is one of the reasons why. Fantastic job Chris!
