She’s a beauty. When I think back at all the times you were “stick a fork in me. I’m done”-tired. You were determined, but waning as the project slogged on. Your pride in this boat shows on your faces as if there is any doubt or question that you’d feel this way upon setting sail on your hard earned water home. Here’s to you, Ricky and Simone!!

Are you thinking aboutvwdding a clothes dryer in later? What other future upgrades are you thinking of? For fruit and vegetable storage, make sure you separate certain vegtibles. Some of the veggies emit ethylene gas which causes certain fruits to rot quicker than normal. I'd just hang them over an easy to clean area, maybe put a stainless steel tray under them.

I'm not an expert but I saw another boat's video where they would slice up their fruit, place the slices on a flat pan, and put it outside on the deck in the sun for a couple of hours. The slices would dehydrate which would allow you to have fruit last for a lot longer. It might work better in the tropics .

I always thought you had to have very high pressure water for the propane to successfully fire up...did you have to put in a special high pressure pump to make it work? Sailing Lady Africa very cool. We just did an off grid solution. One day there will be a video on it...all off the sun and wind, and of course our South African LifePO4 batteries...another video to be ;) -Rebecca

Give me a shout if you need to get around Cape Town to get your spares. Know most of the spots and have a stationwagon. Some of the hardwares open at least now.

Do you have SHUNT hooked to the Victron color controller?
Recently came across your channel and watched every video from the beginning. Well done!
But I haven't seen you install a Shunt into the battery bank (lithium). Does the batteries provide the current info to the Victron?
    Cheers

seems like maybe there isn't enough room from the deck and the water. wonder if you get much wave slapping against the deck?

@Sailing Lady Africa I watched every one of your episodes and I don't remember if you mentioned this or not.
Did you have a boat architect draw up your design build or did you do it yourself?
How did you decide what and where everything should go so the boat is balanced?
Your boat looks really awesome. I can see how proud of her that now you are just about done with the build.
Congratulations on a very fine job.
Salt and Tar have been building their wooden boat for the past 5 years and is almost done with their build (well as the videos are released).
I come from construction background and it mazes me what people can build. Even if they are not professionals.
You guys showed a lot of patience and probably a lot of blood, sweat and tears.
Fairwinds to you both and happy sailing!!! Cheers.

Heya , Nope We drew the design ourselves and did mass calculations for all the components and items placement.
      Hope you enjoyed that journey!

Hey guys, following your channel since half a year. Also thinking about buying a catamaran like the Dean Oceanliner. What I didn't found out is the head clearence within the saloon. Can you please provide me with these kind of mesuements or a technical drawing??? Its essential for us, because we want to liveaboard on a catamaran after living 5 years on a houseboat in the middle of Berlin. Blue Skies Gregor
