As a long term resident of Louisville, I totally agree with this assessment. When I chose to move to Louisville area with my family, I chose Oldham County because of the Commonwealth’s and one of the country’s best performing school systems. But I loved Louisville because of all the things you mentioned except as the years go on, the violent crime rate increases, Jefferson County schools get worse, the vibrant downtown life is no longer safe, and the housing market is very poor as of this writing. City government continues to focus on ineffective programs for minorities which appeases voters but does little to improve the lives of all county residents. If you are moving to this area, choose Oldham County or Shelby County in areas close to the Jefferson County border.
I'm glad to hear you enjoy living in Oldham County. It's a great place to be. Be sure to check out my video about the Oldham County Pros and Cons ua-cam.com/video/A3wNgrtMBPU/v-deo.html
Considering a move from Omaha, Ne to Louisville to be closer to my mom, your channel is so helpful! I'm hoping to move downtown into a fairly fancy apartment (to me lol) with a great view, but being able to watch content on the different neighborhood gives me a lot to consider. Thank you for posting! P.S. I love the fun memes/clips you add..right after I posted my original comment the Keven Hart "Help mee" popped up, definitely made me giggle :)
Omg I love nature sand also a nice city view I can’t wait to explore outdoor 😭 thank you for this informational vid me and my family will be there Monday I can’t wait 🙏
As a former Louisville resident, I can speak on the school system. If you're a family that needs a solid public school system. Consider the nearby counties such as Oldham, Hardin, Bullitt, Nelson, Etc. these provide a more suburban lifestyle while still in the Louisville Metro!
Yes, great point! There are many good public school options in the surrounding counties for sure. The Jefferson County Public Schools (Louisville Public School system) is workable for some families as well. Be sure to check out my video about JCPS ua-cam.com/video/4N903cVFcKY/v-deo.html
@@paulbrown3302 Never said JCPS was bad. i myself am a PRP High Graduate. I was simply saying the quality of JCPS schools varies a lot between places and the surrounding counties are more traditional, not everyone likes bussing around everywhere.
Great question! We have public and private preschools. There are so many to choose from. Typically to utilize the public preschools you have to qualify. Private preschools are plentiful and range in prices. Many people choose catholic preschool. St. Mathews Baptist Preschool is when my kids went. I've heard wonderful things about Harvey Brown, as well.

i live in hillview ky. it is hot as hell in the summer.
It can get quite hot! I agree.
The airport is a negative simply for the fact of lack of direct flights and cost.
I can see what you're saying. I have recently been able to take several direct flights down to Florida, but not to many other places.
And disgraceful as it is, the airport is named after a Vietnam era DRAFT DODGER. The shame of it all.
Hello i need your help. I have 5y of experience in RCM and wana job in Louisville ky could you please assist me
