These would be so much fun in an actual Pokémon game! I love how legitimately good design principles are used here to introduce concepts and teach mechanics, then develop and twist them. Super fun.
Here is an idea for a Pokémon series. This will be about Lillie’s (Post Sun/Moon) adventure in Kanto after taking her mother to Bill. She decided to take on the Indigo League. But this isn’t exactly the Kanto we all know. This takes place 20 years after the events of gen 1. Around eight new cities are built. And now every single city hosts a gym for each type. Some of the gym leaders stayed, but others have retired with new ones taking their place. Lillie will have to tackle all of the dungeons built around the region. These dungeons have been upgraded since Red’s adventure. She will also have to catch all 151 Pokémon. Team Rocket is still around, only they are called, Neo Team Rocket. They also have dungeons for Lillie to run. But is NTR the only threat to Lillie? Who else do we have to worry about? Maybe someone from a different dimension is causing chaos and the ripples are reaching towards this one?
Falls into lava, smashes head-first into a wall at like 50 kph, gets hit by an axe, falls into spikes, gets beaten up by both a machamp and a (whatever rhydon evolves into) “ *rED blAckEd out!* “ Also 3:14 I’m curious as to where that led
The "Red Blacked out!" after getting cut in half by a gigantic axe is always funny lol. But my favorite moment was just getting pannnn-caked against the wall at 3:30 haha
And the best part? We Need the Silph scope to save the guy that give us the Poke flute in order to wake up Snorlax but since Red obtain the Poke flute that part Is worthless, he could gust get the flute and Teleport, the end.
I appreciate you thinking about how you’d play these- if you got into the Snorlax room before you collected the Poke Flute, you’d need a teleport pad to backtrack with. And you have it! It’s cool
I think that Snorlax should have been annoyed to have been woken up - possibly because it was dreaming about food - and given RED a bop on the head for disturbing them, like people do with alarm clocks! 🤣
Really liked the idea of making Spin Tiles from the first Pokemon generation WAY larger, and causing all kinds of chaos including that GIGANTIC one near the end of the video that was teleported away, and to another town outside causing everyone, and everything to completely spin out of control, and crashed!😆Excellent video once again! This looks amazing! I love how you designed all the intricate trap paths with only one correct non-assuming path. When red found that giant arrow on the ground at the end, I was excited to see what was going to see what would happen if he stepped on it! Still funny to see the town shoot off…😂
Looks like Giovanni is getting serious about taking down Red. His science division must be getting crazy amounts of funding. I’d love to see this become a recurring series. You’re showing a ton of creativity here!
I was gonna remark that Red blacking out wasn't the end of the world, since that should take him back to the Pokemon Center and thus he's out of the base, no more puzzle required. I forgot he needed to grab the Silph Scope.
For people wondering the biggest was 32 tiles long before teleport (I couldn't manage to count perfectly after but I'm pretty sure it was 30 tiles long after)
In the big room (2:03) the second spin tile from the too just leads into a wall… So Red could have just used that, walk trough the maze of spin tiles until he reached the spin tile that is blocked by Snorlax and enter it from the other side, skipping the Poké Flute!
Request: If Pokemon Gym Puzzles were actually realistic Same thing as the Pokemon Moves but instead, Red tries to complete a gym puzzle with real world physics

When i saw the Kaiju-sized spin tile, i expected RED to carefully step on it and get launched so fast he broke through time and ended up in another Level Up episode! Impossible bowser pt 2 for example. LOL
