Good Ole Z Challenge waiting for my barrel to arrive then I am going to see if I can get out of the middle of the pack with my existing score. Good shooting for Geco ammo.
Thanks @Dayattherange, I didn't know there was a scoring system, but now I do, I have a proper crack at it, and see how I go. I'll post the results on the channel.
I've found after testing at least 20 makes of .22lr ammo, that my 457 MTR 20" prefers SK standard plus and SK rifle match. Grouping at 100 meters well under one MOA. But even though SK is made in Germany, and I live in Germany SK ammo is on back order.
My CZ 457 LRP loves SK Long Range, and none of the suppliers I usually go to have an ETA of when we might see some here in Australia. I did some testing this weekend with Eley Standard, Sport & Match, with some decent results (which I'll upload), and will be testing a few others this coming weekend, so fingers crossed I can find something that produces reasonable groups, and is available.
I certainly did. The ability to set the stock to your length of pull, height of the comb etc certainly improves the groups, as does the ability to torque it down more, as the standard wooden stock can only handle so much on the action screws.
Hi Henry, it's an enclosed muzzle brake, which on a 22LR is pretty laughable TBH, given the lack of recoil, but because the brake is enclosed, it pushes the sound forwards, and actually makes it a little quieter. Plus, IMO, it looks good on the front of that short barrel.

Did you notice an improvement in group size with the chassis instead of the factory stock?

Thanks, that helps. Blessings
Have you tried Norma Tac22 ammo in this gun? All my CZ457`s shoot far tighter groups than what your using here when i use Norma Tac22 ammo.
Thanks for the tip ! I have some, so will do some testing in the coming weeks, and upload the results.
I always get a flier with norma
what kind of muzzle device is that? and what is its purpose? TIA
