This Yank is enjoying your videos from the comfort of my easy char. I lived in England back in the day (way back in the day) and this brings back happy memories of hiking in the Lakes. Many thanks for videos well done!!!
Heh, fun. Did the Fairfield Horseshoe recently. Wind and sideways rain with visibility reduced enough so that nothing off the ridge could be seen.
There's no bad weather, only bad clothing. 😁
👋 Hey there! Loved your video of the Coaldale horseshoe route, the stunning views and snow-covered peaks made it worth the long day out on the fells! ❄🏔🌤 Wishing you a great weekend ahead and looking forward to more adventure-filled videos! 🎥🌲🥾
Thank you very much! Hope you’ve had a great bank holiday weekend 😁👍
This is on my to do list. Enjoying your videos. Hope to see more of Lakes and Peaks
Fantastic footage Alex - really enjoying the channel - keep up the good work 😊
Cheers Craig, really appreciate it! 👍
Nice one Alex brought good memories back to me I did that walk a few years back but in the opposite direction
It’s a brilliant walk isn’t it! Cheers 👍
Wow, such a stunning scenery bud! Shots are masterfully executed 🥾🔥
Thank you so much! 😁
Quality walk that is mate. Did it in the opposite direction to you and grisedale pike was a real tough slog for the first wainwright. Wish I'd done it the same way as you to be honest. Keep up the good work mate always enjoy your uploads👍
Cheers Jonathan! It’s an awesome route isn’t it, I bet it’s a big old slog up to Grisedale Pike 😅
Another brilliant vlog Alex , glad your noggin is sorted out 😁, well done mate 👍
Cheers Ray, appreciate that mate! 😁
Stunn8ng vlog as always Alex, beautiful drone footage. It's absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much Chris 😁👍
Really enjoyed this Alex, excellent commentary and directions throughout. We haven't done this walk but it's on the list, though most people seem to do it the other way round - which is better? Regards, Ashley
You could have added Causey Pike and Hopegill Head in your route and (time permitting) a quick stroll on Grasmoor !!
Another cracking video Alex! Keep up the great work! Hope you've been enjoying yourself in the snow the last few days :)
Cheers Max!! You too mate 😁👍
Missed your last few vids but really enjoyed this one, it's a beautiful area of the lakes and like you said its alot quieter than other areas of the lakes
Thank you so much! It’s a stunning part of the Lakes 👌
Lovely route, Alex. Thanks for sharing. It's my favourite place in the country. That quarry is Force Crag mine - definitely a worthy explore when you are next down in that area. I believe you can have a tour inside the main buildings at certain times of the year. Take care, Leigh
Thank you bet much! Thank you so much for telling me the name of the quarry, I’ll definitely be checking that out at some point! 😊
Did the Coledale horseshoe somewhere in the 90s. Came back in 2003 and discovered that I suffered from agorafobie, so I felt quiet uncomforetable. A pity beacause I always loved the Lakes.
Quality scenery mate - wondered what these hills were last time I was on Cat Bells so it’s good to see it this way. How did you find setting up the drone timewise etc? It’s the one thing that puts me off but always worth it when you see the shots in post!
Cheers Shaun!! I definitely need to work on my setup speed 😂 it was a long day out, definitely need to keep it two drone shots per hike I think! Hope you’re having a blast I’m the states bro, miss you!!
Brilliant video Alex! Going camping in Keswick in June, so might try some of these peaks. Hopefully it will be a little warmer than you have experienced on this trek. Thanks for doing these great adventures and sharing them with us.
Thank you Peter!! Awesome, let’s hope it’s a little warmer by then!! I’ll hopefully be passing through the Lakes early June on my coast to coast adventure 😁
