- How to make Baked Mostaccioli ! This is my family's favorite Recipe of mine!
The beauty of this recipe is that you can alter it to fit your needs! This recipe was made with ground Beef and Pork Italian Sausage. But I often make it with ground turkey and turkey Italian sausage.
You can also replace the meat with veggies (onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and spinach)!
Ingredients:
Pasta - One box of Penne Rigate noodles
2 large jars of pasta sauce (Prego is my favorite)
1 bag of Mozzarella Cheese
1 bag of Mild Cheddar Cheese
1 bag of Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Brown Sugar (approx 1 & 1/2 table spoons)
1lb Ground Beef or Turkey (optional)
4 Italian Sausage (optional)
Seasonings (about 1/2 tablespoon of each or to your liking): Italian mix, dried Basil leaves, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Power.
Salt - approx. one teaspoon.

Can I substitute white sugar for brown sugar if I don’t have it on hand?
Sorry I’m a bit delayed with my response. I’ve never tried it with regular white granulated sugar. But with a small amount I can see it working well.
Trying cook your name pop up 😂 okay imma subscribe
😂😂 thank you!!
Have you tried other cheeses? If so, which ones?
I haven’t! But I’m sure it would be bomb with like an herb and garlic cheese and maybe shredded parm!
I make this ...use stewed tomatoes and bay leaf andlil more mozzarella ...but i look and like different versions of it
Yummm I will have to try the bay leaf! That sounds amazing
Just made this. Gonna make me a plate and let y’all know how it turned out 😭

I remove my casing from the sausage and cook with ground beef but in all good video
That’s an awesome method! You still get the different flavors with Less time needed.
I may try that one day, but I also really do enjoy the bit/chew of the larger sausage pieces when they’re cooked separately!
All the comments before you cooked it - I wanna know about the brown sugar- I will add white to my spaghetti…but never did the brown sugar: also I’ve always used actual mostaccioli noodles, and incorporate ricotta cheese, you can buy sausage meat out of sausage casing, it’s a few other things I don’t do - and do do but it’s quicker this way; wondering about the taste
Then overall taste of this dish is amazing. I like the bite of the sausage after it’s char’d a bit. I’ve only seen ground sausage out the casing.
@@MooreJessicaPlease yes it’s usually next to the sausages or ground pork no need to work so hard - I use it for my homemade pizza all the time
You should have just got ground meay
That’s definitely an option! I like the bite of the sausage…. Especially after it’s been browned
Can I add bacon? 😂
Why have I never thought of this! Bacon but maybe some spinach too to help break up all the meat!! Yummm
