I honestly really appreciated Hydra finally getting a chance to defend herself this episode. through the season i felt iffy on if she was playing into the villain edit or real life just like mean loll so listening to her confessionals makes me respect her even more. she out here fighting for her life 😂 it’s lonely at the top stuff like this is what i really appreciate about this show. i love how the reactions are in real time, so any narratives placed in the show the cast can speak on it. we hear all sides of the story and it really gives us a more well rounded perspective of each person in a way you’d never get on a show like drag race. i love the entire cast and i’d be happy with any of them winning
I feel like Hydra is a misunderstood queen who speaks her honest thoughts loudly because sugarcoating is not her thing. Susan? said that few episodes ago. Hydra is honest with her opinions and I didn't notice any attacks on a personal level from her side. "It's not personal, it's drag", and she's very passionate about it. There's a beef between her and the other contestants but if there's something nice about them - she'll say it without hesitation, she complimented Trisha, Orbit and Tyler multiple times. She's the only one who took every challenge seriously and didn't make a joke of side quests, for example. Some of the other contestants didn't even try to do well. So yeah, I'm #teamHydra but I don't hate or even dislike the others, I think they're amazing!
I really hope orbit hydra and Trisha make the final three they have been serving looks and drama. I really hope this whole Zelda thing isnt used against hydra specifically.
i feel like hydra has been unfairly dragged through the mud by everyone :( i love everyone so much but it's sad to see how the narrative has affected how hydra has come off to the viewers, and i think hydra's drag is the most stunning of everyone just in my own opinion
Y’all ok these comments gotta relax on these queens…they’re all literally so amazing and none of them deserve ANY hate. Literally take it all with a grain of salt it is entertainment at the end of the day
I really appreciate Hydra. She holds her drag to a high standard and does the same to the others. She'll critique someone when they do poorly, but won't hesitate to praise them when they're doing well, regardless of her personal feelings towards them. I would love to go to Serbia one day to see her perform in person.
At this point, I'm totally team Orbit. She's kind of bringing something really fun and interesting every week, either in the challenge/runway or, if she stumbles, in her lipsyncs. Hope she wins!
My problem with this top 4 is that not a single one of them has taken accountability for the messy things they’ve done or said and - if they have - they immediately fall back into old patterns of pettiness. I just want them to do better by themselves and stop shooting themselves in the foot because they’re all amazing performers.
Happy New Year! I cant believe were already at top 4! Im so excited to see who wins this challenge! Im hoping for an amazing lip sync! Praying for a double shantay this week because i cant imagine any one of these contestants not making the finale
Going into this I thought it was a regular elimination too lol. I thought we were done with side quests. Oh well I hope next week either all four make it or hydra gets cut (she won’t I know)
@@sliceofBluVelvet agreed. I hope next season they get rid of the side quests because it drags it out way too long for us viewers and I’m sure the contestants as well
@@mathewk6026 I don't because it provides more chance for the queen's to show off themselves and win more money. I more hope they do a main episode on a Monday but the side quest on a Saturday so it acts as more of a teaser to the ep. Especially with S2 being fully filmed before airing as far as I know
Seeing Tylers weird smile whenever he would say vile things about Hydra always rubbed me the wrong way, this episode really made me look at Tyler through a different lens
I'm too much of a sucker for anyone who is the odd one out. So when a lot were focusing on track record, I found myself rooting for Tyler and Trisha. But now with both of them being "in the group" against Hydra, they're losing some of the likeable factor for me. Very great top 4 though!
i rlly don’t like when semifinals don’t have a lipsync, if makes it feel like such a formality, the queen with the worst track record can’t do anything to save themselves. i hope next season, the semifinals have a lipsync
I don't think Tyler is a victim, I do think Hydra has bullied him before Tyler did, but understanding Hydras perspective on drag and the privilege of everyone else in the cast in comparison and seeing that aspect of they're lives out of the competition
This is very uncomfortable to watch. The poisonous toxic relationships are damaging the show. It's all very childish and embarrassing. You really need to sort this shit out folks.
Fr it’s like yeah y’all don’t like each other like you can have your little drama, but after the fact just don’t mention each other unless you’re addressing something the other said about you. I saw another comment saying next season is going to be pre-filmed so maybe they had this in mind.
I won’t tell anything bad about any contestant, because they gave us good show, but I’m definitely with Hydra on this. She is the only one who doesn’t have a problem to compliment others when they deserve. On the other hand, others usually diminish her talents just because they don’t like her as a person. And I like the fact that she doesn’t talk about them anymore unless she is explicitly asked for it by judges, but others still use every opportunity to trash her.
Im team Tyler and Orbit for the crown, I like Hydra & Trisha a lot, but I don't see them winning, this season has to be won by Tyler or Orbit ❤, they're storylines r really good
people saying Hydra ate, while i thought that her naming all of the things shes done for her community as very tacky. You were a decent person, congrats!!! You dont get an applause for not reinforcing normativity. And the fact that you point it out as this commendable thing, and not as the least anyone can do, shows you see them as props to show how kind you are. I actually like hydra, i just wish she didnt have an excuse for everything and could own some stuf. She DID get innappropiate information in the context of a competition, and she did show poor judgement on the way she talks about certain queens. That doesnt mean shes evil by any means, but those performers deserve to have the right to hol a grudge or to call her out.
She wasn’t asking for love snd bragging about how diverse she is let’s not play dumb She specifically mentioned it in relationship to Tyler accusing her of being close minded and not liking other types of drag last week, and how that is false because she is constantly trying to uplift other types of drag in her country Let’s keep it cute and not twist words
I’m calling it based on track record it’s between Trisha or Tyler but we already know trishaw gonna turn it so it’s prob gonna be Tyler who goes home next episode then depending on the finale format if it’s a drag duel to the death then its orbit and hydra depending on the song but I literally so badly want Trisha or Tyler to win
I want to clear some things up because I feel like there were things said in this episode that really misrepresent where my drag comes from and my community. 1. The help I received from a "Dragula finalist" consisted of being given a scrap piece of fabric and a sheet of EVA foam after asking about it on a community forum. I feel like I need to state that because I don't want people attaching someone's name to work that isn't theirs just because we work within the same scene. I don't even know where this assumption came from. 2. If Seoul Pride was one of my "first performances" I probably would have shit my pants. I was performing consistently for about a year and a half when I was booked for that gig by an incredible Korean drag artist and activist who has tirelessly worked to include all kinds of queer performers in spaces that we usually don't have access to. I was also a replacement because the only other active Drag King in the scene at that time was unavailable. If doing drag in a very small scene and having established community members who care about representation makes me privileged then okay, sure. Also I don't understand why this was brought up as a snipe against me when it was shared with the group when we were all talking about the biggest audiences we performed to and the proudest moments we had in drag... Why is a cherished memory of an experience that I'm so grateful for and proud of being brought into a conversation about interpersonal issues? 3. About a dozen or so people, mostly friends and other drag artists, were in the club when I filmed my mix because I asked to do it as a tip spot after the end of the regular Saturday night drag show. After a show the amazing organisers of this event host an open stage to encourage newcomers and people who want to try something new and that's where I did my mix. 4. I moved to Seoul's gaybourhood specifically so that I could walk the streets in drag and hold my girlfriend's hand while I went grocery shopping, we all deserve that right. I truly hope that one day every queer person on this planet can move freely as themselves without any fear or shame in every space and every place. Community is everything to me. I am so grateful for it and I pour myself into it because it changed my life. The greatest privilege of my life is getting to work alongside so many wonderful people who love queer art and fight to bolster it. I'm not a victim. As queer people, we are all part of a #victeam ❤
I am so sorry you feel the need to defend yourself :( it really made me hurt for you when your name was being “dragged” over “privilege” as the person saying then continued on to say how inclusive they are, right after bullying someone. LOL. Im so happy you moved to a gayborhood and can walk around in drag and got to fill in at pride
Oh you definitley aren't a victim, you are a bully. One thing that was cut from the episode was when you got your friends who didn't even watch the episodes and called me a "rich american paegant queen in 5k dollar dresses" to spam posts with hate messages harrasing me, based on stuff from discord and the next episode that you broke the contract to tell them. I asked you 5 episodes back if i could use screenshots and air out the conversations we've had but you rejected. You also keep deleting and editing your messages. I said week 2, when i could have pushed for you to be disqualified, that i wanted it to be a drag show and didnt want to get into petty arguing and break contract, but you proceded to attack my character, make stuff up about me, and lie about me to skew the audience perception of me from episode to episode. And i still kept quiet for weeks. But for you to then say i don't deserve to win because im discrimnatory and a bad person, after i spent my entire drag career working with pride, doing stuff for free, booking every type of person under the sun to try to diversify the drag scene in the country was just too far. Being able to move to Seoul's gaybourhood is a privilige within itself, which you clearly don't see, having bars that you can do a tip spot in is a privilige, we have drag shows once a month. Through the entire competition i had to film infront of a white wall in my living room because the 2 times i filmed outside of my house, one of which is in the countries gay safespace, there was a hate attack commited. Which you also know, but that doesn't push the fake narative you are trying to spin.
