Lovely painting, so helpful to see it in real time. I love the palette knife for the trees! Cutting into the paper and dragging color simultaneously. Brilliant!
Thank you for this short painting demonstration. I'm looking forward to more examples. I paint small so adding short and simple to the mix works great for me. Cheers from Toronto, Ontario 🇨🇦
Look forward to more in this series thanks Lois...I definitely overpaint which this tutorial shows! Beautiful loose landscape❤ and have a peaceful Christmas..from NZ
I love this "simple" impressionist type painting. I am always drawn to it. Prefer the excitement! I never know which direction to paint those sweeps. I'm definitely going to try this. Thank you
Me likey very much 😊 I try and splash some paint around every day like you're suggesting but am looking forward to what you have up your sleeve. Subject matter at this early stage of the game for me is always a bit of a head-scratcher, so thank you.
Very excited about your 5 minute paintings! I think for beginners especially it is of great value helping to learn and not get frustrated with lengthy renderings especially in the learning stages. Brilliant! With these shorter videos would you consider listing your brush sizes as well as the colors you mentioned? Happy painting!
At video beginning you said hot press but on closer looking it looked like cold pressed. Anyway thank you! I’m enjoying your looser breezy style and not having to ‘over think’ about it. 😊
😮oh,my goodness.....
Dear Lois, how beauuuutyful this is.....fantastic❤😊
Thank you so much!😊

Merci pour ces petits exercices simples mais très formateurs.
Very useful thanks Lois. I did this one and really did it, this time, in 5 mins. Happy with result- well, fairly happy anyway. 😊
So lovely. Looking forward to this series!
Oh my, how awesome!? I love your book, and I eagerly await the new one next year.
Beautiful.
Thank you!😊
Loved the real-time video! Thank you 😊
Lovely. Thanks for the inspiration.

Great video! Book will arrive tomorrow:)
I tend to overwork. Too much fiddling. Helpful exercise at this busy time of year. Thank you!

Thanks for the tips. I must confess I have a tendency to overwork my painting.
lovely! I like the 'suggestion' of landscape. Am interested to know why you used hot press Arches paper rather than cold press.
So lovely and serene landscape! Thank you for this exercise - I’m inspired to practice like this. What type/brand of brushes are you using, please?
Es muy difícil saber cuando detenerse.
Hot press or cold press watercolor paper?
Cold pressed 😊
