    For anyone who is interested in the Mason Bottle... it is amazing. They do have a silicone sleeve for it that has the ounces down the side so you can measure. Also the nipples are vented So you still get those benefits for your baby

    A lot of people are worried about stainless steel because usually stainless steel contains nickel, which is known to cause issues and a likely carcinogen. That being said, I still think it’s safer than plastic. But, I will only use stainless steel if I have a child who throws their bottles, otherwise we do glass

    If anyone is looking for a glass baby bottle that is similar to the Dr. Browns (but without the venting system) I would look into Evenflo glass bottles. They are incredibly affordable on Amazon and if your baby doesn't need the complicated venting system like my daughter didn't, the nipples Evenflo sells to go with those bottles have a little vent right on them and they're really easy to clean. The bottles are also very resistant to breaking.

    I'm wondering how the hell I didn't hear of these mason bottles before! I used ball 8 oz jars for the majority of my storage the first time because I had them already and why buy more bottles if I have them. I'm so excited you showed these, I'm definitely getting the nipples caps and sleeves RIGHT NOW. 😅

    • @belavely6181
      @belavely6181 7 років тому +2

      Omg they have them on amazon prime eligible! And I looked on Pinterest too and apparently some moms discovered that comotomo nipples fit on regular neck mason jar rings as well! This really made my day! I'm just going to go ahead and buy some nipples and caps and sleeves and comotomo nipples as well. No bottles left hanging around after the baby months now! 😅

    All our plastic baby bottles just end up smelling horrible (formula fed baby). So i think i want to try glass bottles, since glass doesn't absorb smells like plastic does

      Oh no! We’ve used glass exclusively this time around and love them! Really wish I would have done it from the start and maybe we could have handed down bottles between our girls

      @@MommaAlia I didn't even know glass was an option until a few months ago. Super excited about switching! I love your videos by the way! I tried to breastfeed our daugther for 2 weeks, and I'm extremely sensitive, so the pain was just too much. So we switched to formula. I wish I had known that exclusively pumping was an option, as that was just fine. So very excited for our next baby (whenever that is), so I can try exclusively pumping :)

      There is tons of research out there to explain why cows milk should never be introduced to any human. After human breast milk toddlers can be put on straight water.

    I love the comotomo one because it is so easy to clean! But since I breastfeed, my hubby is the one who gives the bottles while I'm at work and he says he doesn't like it :/

    Im really interested in the Pura Kiki bottle. From your experience do you think it's a good option for an exclusively fed baby that occasionally takes a bottle when out and about? she's picky with alot of the bottles I've tried.

    Given the Pura Kiki don’t have lids- do they leak? Can you transport them in your bag for example?

    Did you continue to use the glass bottles once the girls were able to hold their own bottles or did you go to plastic, silicone, etc at that point?

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  5 років тому

      Both my girls had feeding issues that required us to use certain bottles. Both happened to be plastic. But I'm sure they would have been able to hold them no problem!

    • @cuhristen4
      @cuhristen4 5 років тому

      Momma Alia thank you! My son refuses all bottles that are not wide based so we are using the glass Avent bottles. Hoping the sleeve will prevent any breaking if dropped.

    For anyone who is interested in the Mason Bottle....it is amazing. They do have a silicone sleeve for it that has the ounces down the side so you can measure. Also the nipples are vented so you still get those benefits for your baby. The option of using your own mason jars is awesome. Most people have mason jars around their house already. They also can be used afterwards still for storing baby food or anything really. Plus they make a sippy cup top you can order for your toddler if you want.

    What pump do you use to pump directly into glass bottles?

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  6 років тому

      Well every pump fits different bottles. But if you're interested in a specific brand of bottle I would see if it fits the pump you're thinking of using. If it doesn't see if there's an adapter for it. If that doesn't work out I would pick out your pump, buy cheap glass bottles to pump into and then pour your milk in your feeding bottle(:

    I've been wanting to try the como tomo bottles as well as the joovy ones but I'm afraid she won't like them and that would be a waste of money. We use the Munchkin Latch bottles right now and she seems to like them but we only give her like 2 bottles of pumped milk a day and the rest of the day/night I breastfeed.

      Momma Alia Yes they do. The 4 oz one is called the Nurser. And they have 8 oz ones. I had two of each. I used this with my baby through his colic before he could hold the bottle himself because I was desperate he was getting colicky with everything .

    Do you have any recommendations on beginning sippy cups that has similar nipples to the dr. brown bottles? my daughter has a small tongue tie and that nipple size seems to be the only one that she can drink out of well!

    Hi Alia! I love your videos and just found this one. Are you and the girls still using the Pura Kiki bottles? How did you clean the straw part? I loved the other sippy cup review when you talked about how easy to clean each was. I'm starting to transition my daughter to sippy/straw cups and like you mentioned in the other video dont want something really hard to clean. Thanks for all the videos and help!!

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  5 років тому

      They are! But they use the sippy spout. I’m a bit of a germaphobe so straw cups really gross me out because I feel like I can’t get in there like other cups. For that reason we stick to the sippy spout lol. The straw spouts weren’t hard to clean, I just much prefer the sippy!

      PS: I am a 1st time mom living outside US so I need to purchase ALL the bottles (I choose Glass) at one time trip !

    • @MommaAlia
      @MommaAlia  7 років тому +1

      Glad it could help! I haven't tried those brands you mentioned. It would depend on how often you plan to use bottles. If you'll be bottle feeding full time I would get about 12 bottles. If you plan to nurse and bottle feed I think 6 bottles would be enough(:
