I would say it is, though I'm sure Ross would say that if you are just starting out, it is totally possible to start with no portfolio whatsoever, so if you don't really have a portfolio, it's safe to say you probably won't have a website at that stage either.
Hey! A website is a perfect way to showcase your business using wording and imagery( and video) that speaks to your ideal customer/ niche. You can have success without a site but having one will make your sales process easier and you'll look more legit!
