Marcelo Garcia: 3 Modes of Training
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 лис 2015
- Marcelo first illustrates 2 varying methods of training and competing by playing conservatively, then radically assaulting forward. With his final and 3rd demonstration, he balances risk and security to represent the most efficient mode of sparring.
Gianni's guard is on point... that last round was dope
amazing how he can manipulate his jiu-jitsu that much, it's incredible how he can roll like three different people and still be in control. just overwhelming.
Beautifully displays the mental and physical prowess that got him to the top. Brilliant video!
Marcelo, putting it on the line in the spotlight all the time. Humble legend. Thank you, Marcelo.
Thanks professor Marcelo and MGinAction team
You can't help but learn something from the man every time he speaks.......
This is sick. Very smooth flow on both sides. Awesome
That kid's guard is insane!! Even if they were just training.
Thanks for the advice Prof Marcelo
The Obi-Wan Kenobi of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is @Marcelo Garcia!
that guard work was crazy
Grande fã do mestre Marcelinho Garcia, oss!
It’s sad to see Dillon Danis there before he was lost to the Dark Side.
“Lost to the dark side” u mean when he became Conors bitch 😅 stil a fan I like his fight style
I'm more interested in Badmofo Jojo.
@@zachbellotto are you new here? do you understand how showbusiness works?
@@bsdpowa it's obviously not just for business if it's behind the scenes too is it?
@@bsdpowa excuse us, we were discussing martial arts, not showbusiness
The closed captions on this are hilarious!
Full hespect to marcelo though
You shall not pass!

Great Video
I'll have to study how this video applies to major and every day life decisions.
Mind Blowing flow
It would be my honor to train at the MG. Club, he is such a great person and champion.
Ese chico rolando con Marcelo lo hizo muy bien, buena base y buena guardia.
Marcelo is such a nice guy.
Beautiful
Man, giannis guard has improved ALot
um monstro do jiujitsu
i thought first was run and pick your moment be passive, second full agression and pressure, third i thought just full control and top possition priority
Marcelo = GOAT
That guy is sick as hell
What's the story of the Joey Romone sign at Marcelo's academy?
His son passed away during birth. His name was Joey
I noticed the Joey Ramone Place sign hanging on the wall. Is Marcelo a Ramones fan? That would be awesome.
+PabloCruise91 I think so. Some of the MG rashguards say Hey Ho Let's Roll
Smart coach at this Joey Ramone Gym. What is his name?
Марсель ты крут
that kid is good - a lot of movement
fuck if marcelo cant pas that guys guard imagine me
Effing subbed.
Anyone know what rash guard that guy has on? The red and black one
Rashguard bullterrier Mushin 2.0 - Long Sleeve - Black
I'm always in mode 1
I didn't catch what he said about the ego at about 14:20. Did he mean if u only use one technique in the gym or something else?
Basically, your ego will keep you in your comfort zone and stop you taking risks. Risks that lead to better understanding, learning and improvement.
This get is legit!
some one explain me plz 1 2 3 what kind of sparring?
Po Marcelinho faz uns em português...
ele faz os videos la na sua academka que é em NY , acaba a só ter americanos, logo o ingles
Buen entrenamiento jiu jitsu oss
The rolling Kimura at 4:45 was sliiiick
Got him caught tho

artnos yeah 6:10 in . I rolled with her at the Griphouse in Glasgow.
Marcelo hello , I'm from Mexico and follower of you, inspires me a lot in the jiu jitsu , the problem is I do not know the English language , there is some way to translate what you say in your videos ?
Subtitles maybe?

Isn't going too hard when training a bad idea? There are days when you should be going easy to prevent injury? If you go hard all the time on your fellow training partners its kinda meh too?
Klauze the idea is to push yourself everytime you train, if your training partner is not training as hard as you then you should go harder, that's how they'll learn
Euh who was the person sparring with Marcelo Garcia? He was really, really good no? Is he like a ADCC regular or something....? Not saying Marcelo was going 100%, but still to be able to hold your own like that. Awesome.
It was Gianni Grippo. He's one of the top American jiu jitsu players. Won lots at black belt, I guess you could say he's not bad :/
+Omied Khakshour Aha, lol. I just noticed in the recommended videos on the right "Gianni Grippo NY Spring OPEN 2014 Black Belt...". Thanks man, I am going to look up more videos of him. And thanks InAction for uploading this video.
+lijstthuispiano Yeah Giani was arguably the best featherweight in the world in 2015...and that includes rafa mendes, cobrinha, and tanquinho.
Waiting for openings, forcing openings, creating openings.
funny how marcelo is so much smaller than most people, but how he could kick almost anyones ass
3rd type guy here, smash everything
The other young bloke did well
3 modo de luta
That guys guard is redicolous
He literally jumped into gianni’s guard. Where is the old Marcelo?
He was showing 3 different fighting styles one was aggressive the other defensive and the last was a blend of both offense and defence and picking the right times to attack
3:12 counter k-guard
Who else got tired just by watching?
i'll never understand how someone can invert like that
+nunya businezz flexibility is developed MUCH easier than people think. If you dedicate yourself to training flexibility ~30 minutes a day while you are watching TV or something, you will be able to do this in ~3 months, provided you are younger than 40, and not obese.
great. im 40 and obese

+Roo lol
hahah that's great
is that Dilon Danis?
Lester Faapaiaga yes
Before he was kick off the gym...Marcelo is amazing, a simple and humble man, very respectful and a master in the art of jiu jitsu..
That being said thats why he was expelled from the gym the lack of Marcelo great aspects!
I don't understand what training at three levels of intensity implies about risk management. Sure, you can be more risky-aggressive or less, and how one should do it depends on the occasion. But awesome, awesome rolling anyway.
로또되면 저기 가서 운동한다
로또 안되도 여기서 충분히 운동합니다. 굳이 로또가 왜 필요한지 ㅋㅋㅋ
Why doesnt Bjj give props to japanese jiujitsu?
is bjj just competition and is gjj the best street style?
MMA Costa Rica its called jiu jitsu ? that is japanese, that is recognition hahah??
Becus they change alot of tha movement to become theirs...... tha Japanese do more standing moves.
So no one is gonna point out how much he struggles passing gianni’s guard? Some of his students are passing his abilities 😂😳
that IS jojo Calderwood!!hot beautiful creature :)
7:43 That is the Douche (Dillon Danis) who was insulting Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 and got smashed.
Marcelo eventually had to expel him from his gym.
Ridiculous guard.
Marcelo too slow lolol or maybe he's just toying with him
