I first visited this stretch of coast when I was 17 during an 'A' level geology field trip some 50 years ago and have been back countless times over the years.
The feeling of wonderment at finding ancient sea creatures in the rocks has never faded and I doubt it ever will.

Great filming guys! Felt I was down on the ledges with you. Can you explain more about the "ink" in the first find?

Thank you, the plan is to develop a usable ink from the fossilised squid ink. We plan to make a video of the process which will be added on here, so watch this space!

Great video, guys! I really enjoy watching how you guys extract fossils - always good to learn from seeing how others do it ;) But could you please explain what makes a plesiosaur rib so distinctive? I think I know the answer, but would like to validate it against your thoughts. Also, my distinction is mostly based on offsetting against ichthyosaur rib, but this doesn't allow making a distinction vis-à-vis crocodile ribs.
