These all sound interesting, and We Can Never Leave This Place and Juniper & Thorn is definitely going on my TBR list! I just finished To Strip the Flesh and really enjoyed that. My only gripe with it would be that some of the short stories are really just 2 pages of art, but the story "Hot Watermelon" was so good. I'm excited to see what the upcoming Toda and Fujimoto oneshot will look like.

Ahhh, I really want to check out To Strip the Flesh, and same! It'll be cool to see the two collaborate together since I think Toda used to be an assistant of Fujimoto's.

I just ordered We Can Never Leave This Place! I'm so excited for it! I loved Pans Labryinth and Beasts of the Southern Wild! 😭
I read My Year of Relaxation by Moshfegh and enjoyed it but the ending was super rushed 😂

Yay, hope you'll love it then!! And I might still give My Year of Rest and Relaxation a try. Hopefully I'll have a better time with that one than her newest book.

Have you ever read Thomas Ligotti? Would love to hear your opinion on his weird horror fiction.

I am looking for a new manga that's atmospheric and gothic as all Hell. You have any quick suggestions?

If you haven't read it already, The Poe Clan is a wonderful classic vampire gothic. If you want something newer though, Rosen Blood is a great reverse harem romance that also has vampires.
