    Good video. I did the same thing to my 2017L as a covid project a few years back. I used a power commander for the additional fueling. Great torque improvement, instead of std 15:40 sprockets I now usually run 16:38. Much more relaxed power.

    Sounds like some pretty good "Bang for your Buck"! The low end torque is a huge difference maker off road. Money well spent!

      Hello Doc, I am pretty pleased with the extra grunt and minor power. I am too old to need all the power a KTM dualsport offers, but it was a nice bump for a bike I love to ride. - Frank

    That was a good explanation on the performance improvement you received for the changes. You changed cc’s, throttle body, and fuel control to get a 33% improvement in horsepower. Those results are fantastic. Did you get the torque improvement numbers from the dyno?

    • @OneOldManRiding
      @OneOldManRiding  3 роки тому +1

      Hello V Track. Torque is up to 27 and change. I am told a 2016 and later would do better with the larger header than my 2014. I was just not willing to sell my home and buy a newer one for tiny bit more.

    My 300l rally can cruise 75 MPH all day long, and that’s with heavier upgraded knobbies. There’s only about 5 mph of comfortable passing power at those speeds though.

      Hello Sarah, Thats good for most of the US. How is the fairing on the Rally? At 65 the wind is pretty severe on the non-Rally. I would certainly not want to ride 75 for long. - Frank

      @@OneOldManRiding Yeah the stock power is almost perfect. Another 10-20% would be perfect. The fairing is far from a true tall rally style, but I’ve ridden it 4 hours on the freeway in one day without much hassle. Get used to it quickly.

    Amazing! there are tons of the 250's out there and would be a great upgrade. Where can I buy it? you may have said, but I missed it.

      Hello Busy,
      The easiest way to get all the info is to join the CRF250L Facebook group. When you do, the part numbers are in the files section. There are also documents on what you need to do. Or you can have a shop do to, like I did. If you are near the Northeast, I cam recomend a shop. - Frank

      @@OneOldManRiding do you have a link for such info? I've been searching on crf250L group but maybe I'm in the wrong group because I don't find this information. Or if you could shared the link to the group. Thank you for all the info

    What a waste of money lol...
    Why not just trade in and buy the crf300L.... lighter and better inball aspects.

    • @OneOldManRiding
      @OneOldManRiding  2 роки тому +2

      Hello Broxty, primarily because my CRF250L is already farkled the way I want. Buying a 300L would mean starting over, and honestly there were, and still are none to be found in my area. The local Dualsport group has "Anbody know when you can get a 300L" posts regularly. Also, the cost to upgrade is less than dealer fees and New York taxes on a 300L alone! - Frank

      @One Old Man Riding That makes sense, I thought Americans were able to just walk in and pick them up. Mine took 3 months in Canada. At least that 250 holds its value well if you ever do plan on upgrading.
