    Wrong it’s a consultation nothing has been changed yet. So as it stands it’s still limited to 250w

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  6 місяців тому

      Actually, that’s where you’re wrong ! There’s even certificates once I’ve completed it I will show everyone but you have to keep your bike at 250W otherwise you need it to be tested 😂 wait for my next video on this and I’ll show everyone how it’s done on till then I don’t want idiots thinking they’re can take 750w that’s not restricted to get test it’s been approved seen last year according to someone else’s certificate

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  6 місяців тому

      So in other words you yourself can’t do the settings it has to be done by an official after that it’s all good to go

    Thats just a proposal for 500w, its not law yet, and from what I have been reading, it probably wont pass through as law any time soon, as there is alot of UK based bike companys opposing it. 250w is only the legal power output right now.

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  6 місяців тому

      It is just no one knows how to get it done once’s Ive completed everything I will show you guys how it but if you don’t follow the correct channels to meet these changes you won’t be able to do it In due time I will show you guys how it’s done

      Absolutely. It was merely a consultation document published on the net for people to gave there views on, nothing more and the consultation ended a while ago. As you say, no laws where changed,

  • @Highvoltagedelivery
    @Highvoltagedelivery 6 місяців тому +3

    can't see anything online saying they have changed the law, all it says is there are proposed changes to make 500w legal 🤔

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  6 місяців тому

      Yeah it’s a consultation! But it’s dated for the 25/4/2024 it will take place hopefully soon

  • @skysurferuk
    @skysurferuk 6 місяців тому +1

    Your description at 0:50 is not what that consultation document was saying. It's that the assist doesn't take you faster than 25km/hr, but you can go as fast as you can push your legs.

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  6 місяців тому

      No your bike needs to be tested then you can use the push to go or throttle to go 15.5mph ! See my video as proven my points no one knows how to get it done ! In due time I will show you 😂

    Im looking to buy an Engwe M20, but Im worried about the 750w motor. Can you explain how do you regulate the power to it? (im new in the ebike world)

    I'm looking forward to the 500W limit because it will better allow cargo trikes - those trikes with large panniers at the front - which will mean you can take larger loads.

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  6 місяців тому

      You have to apply! If you’re on a cargo 500w will be an option

  • @stevezodiac491

    it is under 3.7 km/ hr for a throttle for walk assist only not mph, 250 watts constant and CE marked on the motor with 15.5 mph max speed limit is the law, pedal assist, not 500 watts.

    • @DeliveryRider

      I will show you when it’s all done you’re more proof that people don’t know how it works 😂 there’s even certificates that have been available to the public but there’s proof it is accessible. Just you don’t know how to do it. Imagine if all of you people took the time to find the actual website and continue to look you’d be able to access the same information but instead I limited what you could see and I’m gonna do it myself and then take the Mick. 😂 😂

    As mentioned in comments the proposed increase of allowed wattage is only a consultation at this stage
    L1e-A approval allows for a 250w ebike to use a throttle up to 15mph, and the bike does not have to be registered. This approval requires amongst other things for the bike to have integrated lights which both work from a single switch, full mud guards with integrated soft ends, a stamped chassis number, and of course the bike must be fitted with a motor stipulated as having a maximum continuous output of 250w.
    Having a larger motor restricted by external peripherals such as the controller or settings doesn’t get around the law, it is 250w max at present.
    Anything over 250w is classified as a moped and must meet the usual motor vehicle requirements, including being registered as a motor vehicle, this shouldn’t be confused however with L1e-A approval for an EAPC which allows throttle use up to 15mph on a 250w bike.

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  6 місяців тому +1

      I’m aware, but the bike controller has to be connected to the PC to be able to reprogram the settings ! Also it has to be a cargo bike for it to be able to be booked in to handle a 500 W motor so most people with the small bikes are still gonna have to stay at the option of 250 W after I get my paperwork I’ll show everybody how I done it and my bike push to go or throttle will able to go 15.5mph without needing insurance, it’s classed as a lower class scooter 🛵 👍

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  6 місяців тому +2

      Nah this will work out better in the long run! Ebike will be legally allowed to hit 15.5 mph with 500w but bike will need a text in return you will receive a certificate as classifying it as a lower class moped you won’t need insurance tax or anything neither a license plate if you want the bike to go faster than that then you will need tax insurance and a license plate I’m working on the paperwork hopefully soon I’ll be able to show everybody how it’s done 👍

    1000w but a nice ebay '250w' compliance sticker over the original, 6 months, 1300 miles, zero probs with old bill,🚔 does 27mph top whack, but usually cruise at 'Power level 2' and on pedal assist at 15.5, , but around 15-miles in full moped mode

    100% incorrect information... so is your 750w restricted to provide 250w or do you actually think restricting the top speed to 15.5 makes it legal?.... la la land

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  Місяць тому

      I know it’s restricted and doesn’t let out no more than 250W IV pattern the bike myself I took the controller out connected to my PC and reprogrammed soooo I know what it’s doing the only thing that’s a 750 W is now the show of the motor. Feds will take the bike and have to return it also

    The law is as follows
    Maximum motor size 250 Watts
    Maximum speed 15.5 mph
    No throttle except for walk assit up to 4 mph
    What you are talking about is only a consultation of suggestions from cycling groups and others organisations.
    If your motor is 250 Watts from the factory and its Maximum output reaches 500 Watts thats viewed differently but thats based on factory fitted systems

    • @DeliveryRider

      I would suggest you do your research and get your facts correct first before trying to tell people what the legal way is as after all it's you the delivery rider that's making things difficult to move things forward as all people in power that can change things see is utter disregard for pedestrians, traffic lights and other road users.
      I have done my research along with so many genuine others

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  2 місяці тому

      I am correcting you because you don’t even know what u you our talking about vivo will allow you to have your bike at 16 mph a twist or push to go the simple fact that idiots like you would use them in the most dumbest places as possible is the reason why I wouldn’t share the full information if you acquire to understand how it’s done maybe stop sitting here chatting shout out your arsehole and go investigate simple Simon

      @@DeliveryRider
      I actually do know what I'm talking about and have spoken to people at various test centres over the last five months and to get it approved you have to type approval from the manufacturer and paperwork of any modifications done and then it would be classed as a moped if approval was granted.
      It would then warrant insurance, tax and mot and to me ridden with a helmet as used for motorcycles.
      So the only idiots here is delivery riders flouting the law and respect for others because they think they are really something special and can do as they want.
      Hopefully the police come down hard on you.
      The rest of us normal people would be able to use better ebikes more sensibly and for a lot better purpose.

      It has but everyone need to apply! People have had there e-bikes with twist to go throttles 15.5mph I’m waiting on a application but you can’t just make the a quiet changes to your Bike yourself it needs to be done properly and you receive a certificate which basically states your bike is exempt as an ebike even down to people with wheelchairs can apply to have the same feature on their wheelchairs and it’s not going to be re-examined by the government until June 2030 according to the paperwork 📑

    • @DeliveryRider
      @DeliveryRider  11 днів тому

      I’m 100% right you just also For a good reason I didn’t tell everybody how to get your bike legally 16 mph on a twist or push to go registered. Right now Birmingham is getting ready to banned all bikes from city council idiots riding around going faster than they should be is the problem why the fuck would I help you get your bike legalised? You need to go and do the research yourself if you have a cargo bike you can have up to 500 W still pushing out 15.5 mph if you know how to get your Bike registered without a license plate you can use your twist to go from the DVLA at 16 mph. Something tells me you’re not wise enough to work that one out.
