I am a new subscriber. Thank you for a wonderful tutorial for putting gimp trim on a gorgeous French chair. I learned several new tricks for finishing my upholstery.
Three weeks ago I decided to reupholster my French style dining chairs. Here in Vienna, they charge between 200-250 euros per chair and I find it to be too expensive. Thanks to your videos, I decided to try do it myself and am happy to say am at the stage of applying trim to all five chairs☺️. God bless you for taking time to record these helpful videos. I truly appreciate them . Best regards to you and your family.
Thank you for demonstrating this!
So just wanted to say thank you, finally started putting my gimp on with hot glue. Up to now I had been using fabric glue because I did not like how hot glue worked for me. I purchased a quality high temperature glue gun and that makes all the difference!!!
Thank you Kevin! Very helpful.
Great tips as always Kevin, thank you.
So grateful for your expertise. Your videos are helping me so much….way down here in the great state of Georgia, lol
Great teaching!
FYI. I use aleene's quick dry tacky glue for gimp and double welt. Nice thick body, tacks up and holds the trim in place quickly, but if you need to move things around you have time.
Great Tips!
Thank you so much. I am no longer afraid I'll ruin my chairs.
Thank you. Nicely done instructions. What type of glue gun do you recommend?
thank you so much for the tutorial; may I ask how is the width of the gimp and if it should be the lighter or darker version of the fabric colour ? 3m per chair is enough?
