Jim has moved away from the film business and does fine art and commercial art at his home studio. I was in touch with him a few years back and he's a very pleasant no-nonsense person. He was (then) working on a book about his career with tons of wonderful images and recollections. Sure hope it will get published some day.
Danforth was a very fine animator; it's a shame he didn't get better material to work with. Laserblast and Robot Wars weren't in the same class as his animation.
