I'm so glad you have a great community helping each other out. You are so blessed to have come thru the storm pretty much unscathed, but also so blessed that you have amazing kinships with your community and you all clearly care very much for each other. Seeing the blessings, even via a video is a blessing to me.
I'm glad y'all are holding up!! WE JUST got POWER back 2 days ago!! MANY prayers to the one's STILL trying to make it!! There is streets FULL of people and WALLS of their belongings and basically THEIR lives RUINED ..... And what's NOT a MUSHY mess, it's still got 3 or MORE ft of water standing..... Very humbled to SAY the LEAST 💜💜🙏🙏🩷🩷 THANK GOD WE'RE STILL STANDING FRIENDS!! AMEN!! My family has a Lawn Care business and we have been out the past 3 days HELPING whatever NEEDS HELP 💜💜💪💪🙏🙏 MUCH LOVE AND PRAYERS EVERYONE'S WAY frm the Gulf Coast of Florida 💜🌴💜 Btw we did 4 day's without POWER
Up until July my honey and I lived on a sailboat. His cancer ended up taking his life. I guess it was God's plan 😢. I miss him with all my heart. Be thankful that you made it through the hurricane with your family. I just wish we had been on our boat to hold each other as we had done a few times in the past. Blessings and love each other like you have never loved each other before. To everyone reading this.please take a moment to hug and tell each other how you feel. Tomorrow may not come on earth.
Listening to all the kids it sounds like there having a good time after the storm - I live in a rural area of south Louisiana - ive rode out around 20 storms in my life time on land - Ive also rode many out in the gulf of mexico in the offshore oilfields - Ive seen sorm damage many times over - katrina was the worst - Most of us have generators and can go for months living off grnrator power, till wires are restrung - We all have large bulk propane tanks and wood heaters also - Ice storms can knock power out a very long time down here also -
We’re hearing it’ll be 6 weeks or more for power back in western NC.. got buddies that work for duke power that day over 200 substations are completely gone and it could be 2 months or longer before they’re put back and running so we’ll see
Y'all need to grow up & learn how to be prepared during an emergency. You have no fireplace or wood stove in that big house! You don't own your own generator? Why don't the animals have a barn? I hope Helene taught you some valuable life lessons & you'll be prepared for the next catastrophe
The water in the creek was going up and down because of the amount of rain they were getting higher up in the mountains! Those little creeks are everywhere in the mountains and hollers and they run off into the valleys and into river's and reservoirs/damns. So if it is raining hard higher up that is why the creeks rise!! Please watch those trees in the creek that the water rooted up! They are no longer stable at all and eventually they will fall just watch the kiddos! Also Watch above anywhere there are tree's for limbs that might be broken off! They call them "Widow Maker's" in the logging industry and they are extremely dangerous! Danielle even though the water might not seem "swift/running fast" that silt is unstable and it can sweep you away in a hurry! Especially if like I mentioned it's raining higher up and all at once that water comes rushing "flash floods"... The most important thing is the tree's they can be so dangerous after a storm! My husband watched his older sister get smashed by a tree on the bank by a creek just a little bit bigger than yours. She passed away right there in their dad's arms and they were at the creek just like you guys just checking to see the damage! Please don't take anything I said as mean and I'm not trying to tell you what to do but you all are still fairly new to the "country life"... I grew up in the mountains of Appalachia but I'm in West Virginia. I'm glad you didn't have any major damage and just lost power for a few days but that's a good thing sometimes because we get to be all together as a family and unplug from all the electronics!! I have seen images of Western North Carolina and I remember how devastating a major flood/storm can be we had two 1 in 1983 and 1996. I was 2 in 1983 but I remember the rain and lightening and being carried on my uncle's shoulders through waist deep water to higher ground... It's devastating but they will recover and rebuild it will take time but those people have been in these mountains for generations and even this isn't going to stop them from coming back!!
After my first hurricane I invested in a whole house generator, 10 days no electric was a very hard life lesson. We have the largest propane tank you can get which can run our home for 1 year. Biggest peace of mind.
I was very glad that Danielle didn't test the depth/strength of those flood waters any further... My mind was like "Woman you've got 8 kids, don't go testing the power of God's water, you'll lose every time! 😅
Mother Nature is brutal but with help from friends, family and the big man above it makes us survive to fight another day. Stay safe guys and love n best wishes from Debbie in uk xx
I know after Katrina living 50 miles north from New Orleans through the woods. We lost electricity for 28 days. I think we were the last ones to get electricity. I am thankful for my gas stove, we can cook, heat part of the house if electricity goes out in the winter. Praying for you all and your safety. I am new here, but enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing ! Your family stay safe and Your animals. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
What a blessing! Amazing neighbors are an incredible blessing. 💜 Glad to see you guys are safe. Praying for those who were absolutely devastated by the storm
Make sure you keep your gas tanks full and maybe buy a generator for future. Extra food and water on hand too. I definitely dont have all these things either.
Sooo proud y'all are ok,, with all those beautiful children,, and animals.. I know it is hard,, but you are truly Blessed!!! God Bless You and keep you safe,, may God replace all,, all that you have lost. In Jesus name
I’m surprises you don’t have solar power, in Puerto Rico after the storm Maria some areas were 8 months without power. We divided to install solar power. I wish we had done it a long time ago. Even on the days that the power goes out for 1 or 2 days we notice at night time that the neighbors don’t have power, or if I look at the app on my phone.
I plug my phone into my car and charge it that way. Most cars have a place for the charging cable to go into. Obviously, you need the car running but if you need your phone that bad....
Wtf is that structure you put the cows in??? Come on yall you live in a big nice house but your animals get a shed they can barely move in? Be better please
Oh man, losing power stinks, please stay safe and hang in there ❤ my youngest son did the crab crawl EXACTLY like Cohen is doing 😂 He is so stinking cute.
I wish that you could come here to mn we are having the opposite problem we are in a dry spell it hasn’t rained since aug and it doesn’t look like it will rain anytime soon according to the forecast on my phone
Your animals need a decent barn, feel bad for them crammed in that tiny shelter
this!!! Also dont put a ring in the baby cows nose so it cant drink the moms milk..........
@@teribennett7687 and the fact that they abuse the baby calf next to the mother! Pathetic
cant you get a better structure to protect your animals

You are such a lovely family ❤ I'm praying for you xxx

Love you guys! Been watching for years! I was worried about you all during this time !🙏 I Thank God you’re all okay!
The animals are super squeezed in that tiny shelter im sure it is normally not an issue.
They definitely need a bigger shelter for them.
Yeah they live in a nice big house but the animals of course don't

You have enough land, maybe add an area for solar. Maybe get a jackery for charging small items and run a fridge in the garage.

All I heard, was how you were being helped. What about going to help others?
They have 8 children. The youngest are toddlers. I'm sure that keeps them busy along with checking on the neighbors.
Glad y'all are alright.
Those cows are very skinny
I believe those are Jersey cows. They’re specially for milk and appear skinny they’re not supposed to be fatty or meaty 😊.
I was just about to ask if they were a different kind of cow and that's why they're so thin.. Thank u

Broom handles, rakes, etc
That is pretty smart.
That is still so much water in the creek. The kids won't be able to play there any time soon.
Looks like you’re gonna have a lovely swimming hole
They have propane generators.
Where are you?
winter is coming
Milk your cow that’s been crammed in a tiny shed?! Wtf! Where’s her calf?
its sitting right next to her with a spiked ring in its nose to prevent drinking the milk thats supposed for the calf. SO SAD.
