I tried the demo out and new this wasn’t gonna hold me for long and therefore wasn’t for me, but I could tell there was some love put into it, RIP Toriyama❤

the main character is the son of dabura. I think sandland takes place in the world dabura is from and also i think its champa's original earth.

Got my copy today and enjoying the first hour. Early days but the world deffo has me hooked .
I'm not a Sand Land fan (for now) I just started the game 2 hours ago and I feel that it will be a simple but enjoyable experience :D
I was having a lot of fun playing this last night. Felt like og dragon ball. Like toriyama went back to his roots and brought all his years of experience with him. 😊
Definitely got that "it's fine" feeling from the demo. This looks fun enough, but I wish they'd have some sort of meaningful difficulty. The One Piece game Ilca made was easy too and it just made combat feel like a waste of time. (Even though I really liked the party positioning and alot of other stuff it had going on).
Got my copy yesterday and having a lot of fun and the vehicle combat and upgrades is easily the best part. Not sure why you say it doesnt do anything but help stats cause thats completely wrong you can actually make New Veichles when you have a enough parts in Ann garage just takes a lil bit of grinding and can be a little tedious. There some really cool hovercraft varriation's among others vehicle's like the jump bot, Dirt buggy exct.. the longer I play the more im finding I can unlock and customize. Hoping for a future dlc.
I said different vehicles change the game significantly. I said vehicle upgrades (parts) mostly just change stats

read the manga when i was a kid and havent seen anything about it until they dropped the anime and announced the game. bought it and enjoying it so far. yeah the gameplay might be a little lacking but its refreshing to play on a steam deck for some chill sessions

Not 60, but the summer sale is soon so it'd be a good time.

4:24 That skill scene, few of the element on the screen, it reminded me of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot skills and option setup
I played the demo while I was at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour; it's definitely a fun game. The driving controls alone at that time felt a bit clunky but I'm sure that's been fixed.
Whether you're a fan of Sand Land or doing it to honour our late Toriyama-sensei, I'd personally say it's worth picking up! It might not have a lot of replay value but as a one-time play it should still be a decent to good experience.
I'd give this game a +1 in grade just because of how it handled side quests. Just the usual fetch/hunt shenanigans but seeing those npcs move in town and make it bigger after seeing their little story is way better than just an achievement pop up. It's a nice little bandaid for the open world fatigue that quickly settles in after finishing the story, enough that I actually did them all.
Sandland looks beautiful, that's for sure.
sumthing cool i didnt see u mention that the game doesnt actually tell u is in the pause menu, when u check ur key items in the items tab, alot of the items youve picked up along the way have a description often inferring (or outright telling you) who it belongs to. if you find n talk to whoever owns said belongings, you get unique dialog
Do u loose everything when it’s game over or just respawn at a save point with your items
You go back to your last save/auto save. But it saves pretty often, I never lost too much
this game is my introduction to the series n i srsly loved it. game has its flaws but its art style and charm made it worth it. almost done 100%ing it, listening to sum albums n drivin around lookin for treasure in a cartoon like world was rly enjoyable for me

Imo my favorite game on all of ps5 i have spent almost 100 hours on the game and nothing feels close to it
After playing Metal Max Xeno, I just needed another game that fits my need for "open world and vehicular rpg", so I'm looking forward to try this one. Sure it's got flaws but meh, I'll surely enjoy exploring and taking my time with it.
Maybe it's because I'm a simple person, but just by playing the demo i was very entertaneid and view it as a funny "boom boom bang bang" like when you play with some wars theme toys.
Obliously the part where I was most interested was the story and the world building cuz come on...ALWAYS LET AKIRA TORIYAMA COOK 🗣🔥🔥🔥 (rip).
I guess this strange mix of funny loop gameplay and the interesting story made this game (imo) from a possible 6 to a 7.5/8 (6 cuz although the gameplay is funny, i gotta admit that is ripetitive if you want to play it for hours and hours)

Not the first time i played a Japanese game whit ranged enemies where the only strategy was to strafe to avoid all damage. They should have had some attacks be unstrafable and you have a doge like ability like a small burst of speed to avoid it. Maby even have some enemies have shots so fast or AOEs so big you have to use a lighter vehicle to avoid them.
all that is the in the game. XD there are giant dino's you have to fight that burrow underground ,you have to boost to get out of the way
@@willclark4449 I guess that's ok but i hope its not just one enemy type that makes you doge and its the only trick they have. I like it when in games enemies have several unique attacks they can use.
I played the demo and I could just tell there was not gonna be enough there for me. Moving in a circle while shooting a tank was not gonna keep me interested for 40 hours

i agree with everything globku says but i think it should get a b, like he's basically saying this is as bad as one piece world seeker. which big anime game (one piece odyssey, dbz kakarot, sand land ect) is better in your opinion

I imagine it’s not super fun if you don’t have a life not in like a mean way but like when you have an actual job it takes a while seems like most games like this are in fun to people who don’t beat them in a single day

Globku assuming that people know about the manga or anime of this game or even Sandland in general is some high levels of bruh... I've never even heard of Sandland till this game came out.
got hyped for other reviews when noisy pixel gave this a 9/10 only to find out later on that most reviews are it being an average if not below average game. it's sad but i'll still buy and play it. i love my boy beezlebub and rip toriyama-san

Didn't expect to like this game as much as i have so far. Was expecting the open world to be boring as the scenery seemed kinda bland, but the vehicles have made it anything but.
Its engaging, charming and well writen, definitely worth picking up for someone who likes toriyama's art, vehicle based shooting, unique gameplay ideas/amalgamations, post apocalyptic world settings and or quirky japanese humour/writing. It doesnt pick up until you get the vehicles, once you get a few of those it really gets into stride.
The Japanese VA is a must however, if English is your first language, you will find the dub unbearable.
I need to know if Debora is apart of this World before or after he went to go work for Babidi

The game is below average for current Standards of open world on every level except artstyle.
The art really carries this one hard.
The combat you speak of, you are lvl 2 with zero skills in the skill tree, wish you played a bit more of it, felt a little rushed there

I have to disagree about the combat. I dont mean to hate but in your video it shows you havent unlocked anything in the skill tree for Beelzebub and Rao it shows your at level 2 .So how would you make that assumption or comment that it doesnt evolve when you have nothing show it off or showing youve unlocked them at all? LOl Seems like this is rushed out for views and the algorithm especially it being a day before the official release.

@@astilla4729 if he really completed the game he'd be at a higher lvl than 2 LOL@ 4:36 and 6:39 it shows he at lvl2 and the skill tree is barely unlocked. Why isnt there footage outside of trailer and gameplay clips? It's a vaild criticism since hes talking about he skill tree not meaning much but then he his self doesnt show a fully unlocked skill tree showing he's actually completed the game (Because he hasnt). I pre ordered and got my copy today a day early and i still havent finished it yetXD but i have more upgrades and combos that he shown in his video. There is no way he has actually beat the game especially uploading and posting as much reaction news content as he does.

I'll never understand after the massive success of Dark Souls and Elden Ring, that Japanese developers STILL to this day make games way too easy.
I dont think this specific ip needs to be difficult even Dragon Ball Kakarot is not that hard
@@sakuragi1062 My point exactly. There's no reason for it. People want to be challenged in the games they play. Give players the tools to meet that challenge and trust them to train and grow like Goku. Let them taste victory, not play a cutscene.

Hard disagree on the combat. You dont have any of the skill tree unlocked and are only level 2. How can you say the game doesnt evolve when you arent taking part in basic mechanics or unlocks?
Please dont rush these video's out like this, as it leads people to believe incorrect things about the game and also hurts your credibility. I want your channel to succeed but vids like this wont do it.

Don't bash his review. This game isn't good. Overall it isn't good. The core mechanics of the game are not engaging for advanced players. So to be correct, it's not bad, it's not what was expected and when you play you see it's basically an entry level action rpg for kids. This is nothing revolutionary or even worth the 70 bucks. This is a 30 dollar or less game. Hoping it's on Gamepass soon. It needs to be there right now. Not a shot at Gamepass but this game is not and I repeat is not worth 70.
