Sorry for the delay in new videos but here is my latest, I have finally installed my new intercooler and even some Cowl (Cabin) filters and LED fog lights!
I haven't noticed much of a difference in Intake Air temperatures (IAT's) but they seem to be slightly cooler and I think I need to go back to the race track to really see if it makes a difference!
It looks cool up the front anyway!

Really great job! Thank you for the well done video! I'm gonna guess your car is a 2009? Because it has the full on sensor package with the LCI upgrade and the whole bumper underneath at least is much different than mine and most of the cars I've seen in YT. But I'm sure glad I watch yours as it showed al of this. Subbed!
Thanks heaps for that! Mine’s actually a 2007, it even has the 8 bolt crank which I learned when I did the clutch!
The under tray is from an LCI I think as it’s not a perfect fit for my front bumper but I made it work as my car came without one!

Good stuff mate, based on the results a mate here has seen with huge reduction in IAT's going from 5" stepped to 7.5" stepped, it'll work just fine for you. Wow 100C IAT, man I bet it had some timing corrections happening.
That’s good to know, cheers, yeah it got damn hot coming out of turn 6 at Queensland Raceway in 3rd gear, that’s when I thought ‘I need a bigger cooler’ haha! Contemplating meth injection too..

Aww awesome, thanks buddy, much appreciated, it’s just a generic 7.5” stepped IC off eBay for a BMW.
And I brought the silicone joiners and hardware separately!
What size bolts did you use to mount the intercooler up?
I used the standard mounts so what ever thread they are, but one was broken so I put a long screw up into the plastic, it seems to be holding in place alright so far!
Have you tested more the new aftermarket 7.5" Intercooler since you have installed it? How it works compared to the previous 5" (Wagner?)? What is your experience? Thx
I have been driving it around on the street and really haven’t noticed much of a difference but I’m hoping next time I take it to track it might not get so hot! It’s probably better for a big single turbo too, the 5” was probably fine for the street with stock turbos, just my thoughts anyway!

Hi, what spray did you use to lubricta the hoses? and can i use brake cleaner as a lubricant? sorry i am super new at DIY stuff. Thanks
I wouldn’t use brake cleaner as a lubricant! You have to be careful what you use break cleaner on!
I just used a cheap water dispersant spray, similar to WD40 but cheaper.

Oh sweet! Yeah I did and I had to buy the silicone hoses and clamps separately too.
