0:42 Let me stop you right there, chief: I just bought a slightly used GE washer, and STAMPED right into the metal of the washing machine, is an 'H' (hot) and a 'C' (cold) in the OPPOSITE orientation the video shows. Beware.
Same here! It needed to be reconnected. Looking at the diagram in the owners manual, as you face the back of The Back of the machine, hot is on the left.
Our top loading washer is making a strange loud noise and has been doing it for some time now. It sounds like a small piece of clothing may be stuck in the agitator. I would like to remove the agitator and see if that is true and remove the clothing. Cannot figure out how to remove the agitator. It is a model WPRE8150K2WT.
Hi Carol, We are sorry for your inconvenience. The agitator will need to be removed by service. They can be reached below: www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm?ICID=GEARsupportflyout-service

The metal connector that secured the hose to my washer seems to have rusted away and is leaking. My washer can still get water but I’m getting the f20 code. I assume because of pressure? Can I find this metal hose connector on amazon? Or, failing that, can I reorder the hose itself? Thank you.

the pipes going to your valve could be reversed. I have a different type of laundry valve. Mine has a lever that shuts off both hot and cold simultaneously the hot water comes out of the right side pipe.

Hello Debra - This will depend on the style of water valve you have in your home. If you have ones that match the video, turning to the left will turn off the water. - TS

my cold is on left and hot is on right but the right one is missing when I bought it so going to buy one
120-140 degrees? CRAZY hot! Set it there and spend more for heating the water and expect to shorten the life of your water heater.
Where is the correct location to put fill hose screen washer is it at the tap or at the inletvalve?
Thank you!
You're most welcome, Nora! I'm glad it was helpful -CC
will the washing machine run with just the cold side water on?
It would depend on the model. Our older models would probably run; though we would recommend the installation of both hot and cold valves.
New owner: I would like to look how much water is in the machine. When can I open the lid, and will that interfere with whatever the machine can do?

set all nobs for cold water wash, yet hot/warm water fills - does this mean hoses are incorrect ??

Hello Pamela, the hot and cold water hoses, to our GE washers, are both the same size in diameter. I hope this helps! -SF
WRONG! The cold water valve is on the right side, while on the other hand, the hot water valve is on the left side.
My washer makes a ruff spending sound but it is not spinning, can't turn off with on off button. What is going on?

Why would you want to? You can t off a line from your hot pipe
As the off position to the right or the left on the wall
