Good afternoon. I am contacting you as a specialist. I want to connect the front camera through the camera control unit to the standard multimedia system. The rear camera is also installed natively by the factory. I can’t find the pin on the AVN connector for connecting the monitor activation wire. I read on the forum that they connect pin 25 in the B connector. And I also can’t find a fuse or power supply from turning on the reverse gear on the AVN connectors and in the fuse boxes. Can you tell me? Hyundai Kona 2019 1.6 T-GDI. Best regards, Dmitry.
Hello Dmitry. First of all, I no longer own this vehicle so I cound't help to confirm. However, I've checked user's manual, please refer to section 7-57 for detailed fuse panel information. I see multimedia fuse in 15A on the first column. Hope it helps. For rear gear, I believe it needs an always on fuse so use a spare one that is always on.
Hi I installed this in my Toyota CHR, it works fine but whilst I am driving the tailgate suddenly starts beeping and it opens to quarter position, then i have to turn off by pressing switch. Any advise would be most helpful.
You can first check troubleshooting section in the manual. If it's not listed, check if you can reset the tailgate positioning by holding the button. If it's not working, maybe the spring and electric thing is malfunctioning, better to contact support.
Yeah, i was looking for the latch hook in your video but you didnt show that. On stand by, i suggest you do a parasitic drain test. Mine was drawing 107mAh, nornal draw should just be 20mAh. This would kill your battery if you dont use your car daily.
Flashing my memories... I did not show the bottom latch because I was using wrong screw head that damaged the screw. Found some way to get it out anyway but had to purchase a new screw and forgot to record that part. Mine was definitely around 20mA when I was doing the connection for the key fob wire. If it's 100 mA, something is wrong.
I have installed this kit in my Kia Sportage all buttons are properly work but only remote doesn't work not open or close auto trunk please help me or guide me thanks
It depends. I showed it in video for the switch one for front button. For the control box power and foot sensor they're connected to constant since they work even not turning the vehicle on.
@@RickGeorgeAudio I did, everything looks ok. But there is a problem, it looks like the lock has not enough power to pull the latch. And when I helped pushing the door down to make the lock work it also has not enough power to unlocked it. Now I don't know what to do. The lock and the latch are not adjustable.
@@franskurniawan8220 1. When locking, did you hear occasionally hear flash beeping? If yes, check your alignment if something is preventing lock mechanism working properly. If it's just weak, check the current from your power supply. 2. Contact kit provider for a bloatware update for the control box that will give you a stronger release.
@@iversonchemist1628 Thank you for your response. At first I hook the power supply from the fuse like you did, now I hook it up directly from the red cable like the manufacture suggested and the result works the same. Yes when it locked right there is a flashing and a beep when it locked. But when I open one of the front door the sign in the dash turn red it means not lock properly also when I kicked the car. After that the rear door can't be opened so I have to unlocked it manually from inside and lift the door. There is nothing we can do with the alignment, everything is fixed and not adjustable. Well we are supposed to have no problem after we installed it right according to the manufacture guidance. I think the one I bought is not a good product.

@iversonchemist1628 ok thank you. I will check.
I found it. Thank you
Ho do you connect the CAN bus H and L cables to the wiring under the fuse box?
I believe I covered fuse box part from 9:00 to 10:00. Picked up one vacant 20A fuse. Make sure you also connect to the ground.
Hi I have a 2016 ioniq ev would the struts fit on that model?
Probably not.

I sometimes can't open properly a milk brick, how much will it be if a professional does this work?
Likely about 4 hours labor.
did you replace the latch hook? Also, what is the stand by current? (when engine is off, did you check amp draw?)
Yes, the old one is too weak to hold the torque. I do not remember the stand by current, but I'm pretty sure it's minimum.

Did you route your door opening circuit to the control box? If so, try push the unlock button continuously (more than 3 times) to see if that works.
It is the same installation for the 2023v version?
Not much differences on the size of the newer model, I'd assume overall process is very similar.
Where can I get this item?
By the way, do you have any installers in the Los Angeles, CA area?
Sry I have no idea for LA area.
Another question, on which slot did you tap the fuse into? Constant or switched on?
It depends. I showed it in video for the switch one for front button. For the control box power and foot sensor they're connected to constant since they work even not turning the vehicle on.
Has anyone done this on a 2012 or any 2nd gen Scion XB?
I gues it's too old to get an after market electric lifting spring.
@@iversonchemist1628 actually I found one on eBay that will fit
does it lock automatically or you have to lock doors manually?
Please check the end of video for all locking details.
Where can I get on3
Check out description for the exact model I purchased. There are many other options available.
I hv a Kona EV 2019, no power liftgate. I order already from aliexpress and hope it will fit in my car.
Thanks for your video.
Sure, I think the exact model I bought might not fit in Kona EV. The installation should be close though.
